I don't know what went wrong with you guys... I really missed the chemistry between JD and Vivek as both are real automotive enthusiasts. Hope to have the talking cars back .
Mahn we really really miss both of guys in talking cars ... please don't leave TALKING CARS channel behind...if you guys are having time together just talk about automotive stuff just by siting inside a car or something. All the best jD ..by the way camera quality and tuning is awesome 👍🏼
Very Nice feature, JD... The original owner will be very proud about his decision to have given his car to you. Some more features I could remember are absence of a left side mirror, cigarette lighter, the flush- fitting Ash tray, key lock in passenger side, and the thick metal. When I upgraded from a 1990 maruti 800 (inherited from my Pappa) to a 2007 maruti 800, I was shocked by the heavy sound inside the cabin when I took it in the rain for the first time... How cars were engineered those days!
Aww boy I still remember JayD , Ajay from Trivandrum and few of them were so active in discussing about ss80 back in the days on TEAM BHP . I use to read each and every succinct and long conversation up and down between them .. Bottom line i started having a feeling of owning one which ended up me buying one in 2014 … Ever since then I having been owning one … slowly but surely once u go with 800 then there is no going back !! Thanks JAYD for inspiring the next generation too …. Much appreciated now and always !!!
this channel is unlike any other automotive channel in India. With your unlimited passion & the production quality it’s just so brilliant. I loved your format. Even though this can’t replace talking cars, this and Content with cars are my most favourite Indian automotive youtube channels currently. Eagerly waiting for future contents ❤.
Before this, I miss the talking cars a lot but after watching this video the thing I notice is you guys should have your different channels because you both are unique, missing my 800
Thank you JD for bringing back our memories with the OG “Indian people car”. Still remember the days when I was just waiting to grow up to get hold of that thin two spoke steering written Maruti in Hindi. Only reason why I still have a soft corner for the brand😊
After seeing this video I had an urge to buy a vintage car. But difficulty to maintain a car made me think of buying a vintage bike. Finally I bought a vintage bullet 1969 model . Now I am enjoying the vintage ride😊
JD, ur love for car is something ❤️ Could connect with what you speak.. You are not faking anything, just pure passion.. Keep bringing good contents like this.

I've just finished my college and this car and I have gone through many bad situation like multiple break downs , once the car broke down in front of my college when I was on my way to attend one of my exams , by grace I didn't miss my exam yet still I love this car to death . Really happy that you started anew. And two different channels, hopefully means more content. But, should thank you for what you did with talking cars. Honestly, it was something else, some perfect combo, a kinda magic. Just lots of love for you both. NB: Siddique Lal pirinjappo polum ithrem vishamam undayittillatto.
You have just put the car in a time capsule. So Authentic and original fantastic. My father had from the first lot. We had it for ten years 1 L kilometres and never even had to replace a bulb apart from consumables.
I was a viewer of talking cars. Few weeks back I saw Vivek alone with his new Chanel, I was unhappy realising that I couldn’t get the same talking car vibes. I loved the the contents you make together. Thing’s apart we all need nice content. I hope both you can surprise us with great things and I subscribed both channels at the first place. Good luck gayd, cheers 🥂
Really good video quality. Really love the way you share the details. Got used to the long video formats from talking cars, thanks to the quality content. Waiting for more such content.
Good to see you back... Awaiting since you are back in India, we are eagerly awaiting Talking cars season 2. Can we see JD and Vivekji together again ?
Watched this video with my Father & Mother, both of them said " iavan UK nnu vanno? Ivar orumich ulla video nallathayirnnu etc" Talking cars always in heart.
Glad that you are back mate. I liked that you included the pictures of the originally launched colours; it is a brilliant and unique touch and is hard to find. Then the part explaining how you bought the car, the optimistic thing, was touchy. Good to see you again by the way.
This type of content is what we need for the car enthusiasts community. You presented it with the same passion we all share. Thank you for the video ❤❤. Keep going Mr. JD. 💯♥️
For the late 80s and early 90s kids Maruti would definitely be their first car . It literally gave a world class driving experience to Indians . I remember how my relatives use to spent so much money and time on repairing their ambassador’s and fiats .. Maruti on the other hand was like the old ad line of hero Honda - fill it shut it and forget it - it was a relatively trouble free car .. it didn’t just give wheels to the Indian automotive industry , it gave it wings ..
Great quality content and making. Maruti 800 is infact the first car I drove too. We had four maruti 800s in our larger family and I learned driving in all of them. 😊 Very promising and waiting eagerly for next videos. But we all still really wish to see you both together again in talking cars channel with usual talks around cars. I personally have recommended talking cars to many of my friends. And everyone admired the content.
Good to see you back 😊 My first car too was a used 1994 Maruti 800 standard in dark green colour which I bought in 1997 while in college. I used to do autocross and hill climb race events around Kerala with it and managed to beat larger, powerful cars like the Esteem, Gypsy, etc. many times. Best ever finish was 2nd and a second behind a Hyundai Accent Tornado in a 9kms race event at Kottayam. I sold the 800 off in 2006 which I regret now.
Ss80❤❤ It's true that my family's 1st car was also an 800 . I first started driving in it when I was in 5th STD ( by sitting on my father's lap). When I joined in college my best friend had an 800 that was our every thing. Like it was some time our 4X4 and some time it was our s class. I think this car has lot's of character depending on the driver. ❤
So happy to see our beloved JD right here!!! I use to stalk on your insta pages randomly for any update!!! So happy to see our two maestros are back to their business, though in different phases ❤ what we all need is be regular with your contents always here!!!
It's good to see you back on RUclips JayD. My first car was also a maruti 800 which taught me to drive, but I couldn't keep it. But for the love of maruti cars am keeping a maruti zen for past few years ❤
Mahn! Like everyone said, i too miss talking cars. Butt. I believe it was for the better. For we get to watch highly technical information about modern cars in Content with cars and deep history and ownership experiences and everything in Jaydsgarage. Great video, I found this video wen I was looking for restoration of this SS80 which I own one now. And am struggling to restore the car bcz the previous owner didn't maintain and it would be much helpful if any one know where can I take it to restore in Bangalore.

This has to be the best factory color for the SS80! Beautiful!
Imagine the Suzuki deal didn't happen though, we would have had the mk1 Golf!
And if honda approved instead of Suzuki we would have had the city with the moped right?
Yeah ! But the mk1 golf wouldn’t have made an impact like this car. Pricing would have been significantly higher!
More like beetle 😅

The 5 speed is the real deal pocket rocket. That car can do over 140kmph whereas the 4 speed 800 does 120kmph.
