Man the fact that I can use the Stomp for bass, acoustic and electric is such a blessing since I rotate playing all 3 at church. One of my best gear investments.

FYI the sterling has an active electronics but a passive pickups. It does not automatically mean that if you have a 9 volt compartment at the back of your bass then you have an active pickups.
Was going to say exactly the same thing - It has passive pickups but a built in pre-amp. Now my Spector Euro 5LX on the other hand - active EMG pickups AND pre-amp (total about +15dB gain with a flat EQ)...
I've bought a Line6 Helix 2 months ago and I've been loving it ! I'm so thankful that you've made a lot of videos with the Helix because that made my choice a lot easier.
I was wondering if you could do a video taking about injuries and how not to get injured while playing the guitar. I am currently healing from tendinitis in both of my wrists because I played guitar too much. I don't want it to happen again !

I bought this patch and added line 6’s ‘ballistic fuzz’ to the patch. You get some gnarly tones! I don’t know how useful it would be for worship, but pretty cool!

awesome stuff! i love doing swells on bass in worship, works really well for those low dynamic moments, especially if the keyboard isn't playing something super ambient. looking forward to try this, might integrate some of the things into my own bass patch, or integrate some stuff from my own patch into this.
as for bass guitars.the Ibanez SR series bass' are the absolute best value for money guitars on the market IMO. i would look at something like a SR-300, it's around the same price point as the sterling.
Having a battery usually means that the pre-amp is active, not the pickups. Most active basses have active pre-amp and passive pickups.

My bass has an active eq but passive pickups. A battery doesn't always mean active pickups.
I was gonna say the same . I actually own that sterling bass and , No it DOES NOT HAVE active pickups . It has a 2 band active EQ . BIG DIFFRENCE !

One problem, not every bass is active with a battery compartment. There are basses with passive pickups and a active EQ that needs a battery so not every bass with a battery compartment is active pickups. Ibanez and Yamaha have many basses with passive pickups with active EQ.

Worship Tutorials, I know. After reading this 2 hrs later I meant for the comment to people watching that doesn’t know there is a third type. I probably should have worded it differently. The reason I mentioned it is I’m saving up for a Yamaha bass five string and I gave my Ibanez Bass to my friend which has passive with active EQ which is where I learned there is a third type. I gave my friend the bass for building the new mobile drum platform for our ekit at church but with lay-off happening later this year my goals to get a bass and Helix is on hold. I’ve been wanting to buy Helix patches from you guys to use with the new bass and my current guitars when they decide to let me do more. But I’ll have to wait longer.

Worship is referring to worship music that we play/sing in church.
And in the context of this video about bass presets, the worship/church association doesn’t really mean anything. We post a lot of other content about church/worship music though.

Hi! I'm noy Pastor Fuller, but I've got an HX stomp and it's perfect for Bass! it has the same preamp and effects as the helix does, but in a reduced package. Only con I have is that 3 footswitches isn't enough to fulfill everything - but I fixed my issue with an external tuner, and an external footswitch (+2 buttons) ! Hope this helps
