Thanks for this! wanted to confirm it was possible for me to replace the battery without too much difficulty before dropping the money on a new battery. very useful!
The epoxi should be left alone in a resting position (better with closed screen) for some hours IMO, opening the screen without hardening the glue is death haha Also, if the hinges are really tight they can (should) be loosened and or oiled (after using glue) to reduce the force on the weak design.

I have the same laptop too and the plastic on the hing broke. I haven't closed the screen since because I know it could damage the LCD. So I am using it like a desktop right now. I don't understand why manufacturers use cheap plastic near the hinges.
