Thank you. With your video, I replaced the rear wheel brake pad smoothly today. Your efforts have paid off. Thank you again.

This has been the best detailed video I’ve watched.
Not much talking, and straight to the point. Good work! Thanks for the information..

Nice job. Those turn in pistons are a pain in the butt. Good clear video showing what to do

This is not consistent with official procedure. Without Honda’s HDS, you have to remove the EPB actuator and turn the splined shaft clockwise until it seats. By pushing in the caliper piston, you are forcing the mechanism inside and will damage it.

And what is the result when it's damaged? Will the parking brake not engage?

I saw another video where the person used a 12v battery source and then disconnected wiring connection at the actuator. After that with power applied the piston retracted. If piston is rotating the wrong way just reverse the power source wires. Guess his method worked but I would be hesitant to do that.

You are correct. This is a wrong procedure for EPB. I used my fancy $200 scanner to reset the EPB and put it in maintenance mode. If you don’t have the tool remove the plastic EPB actuator and manually recoil it with a hex or Allen wrench.

This is literally the best video I’ve seen so far! Keep going bro !! 💪🏽 my only question is what can I use if I don’t have that other special tool you used for the compression thing ?

Some auto parts stores will lend you the tool. eBay has it for less than 25.00.

Or a c clamp and just put old brake pad as that little circle that he was saying was to big

Your first step was to pop open the brake fluid reservoir. When did you close it? Before calibrating the brakes or after?

Close it before calibrating the brakes. If you press the brakes when the reservoir cap is open, you will spill the fluid.

Did you have any issue after driving the care for a few months? Any noises or braking problems?

Is this accord all wheel drive? Looks like I can see an axle shaft.

    Why we not cutting rotors?
