Nokey: Instead of thinking about everything they aren’t doing, let’s take a step back and see how much the game has changed over the years Also Nokey: This update bored me
This video is extremely well done for what it is. I have a few commentaries as a former competitive player, however - 16:56 1.8 was never about "clicking as fast as you can" because only a maximum of 2-3 hits could register in a second anyway, and if you can't click 2.5 CPS there's a different problem lol. Not to mention that quick swapping secondaries was pretty gutted for a slower and more defensive approach. This is not a BAD thing, by any means. A lot more technical stuff was lost and/or replaced but that's a whole journey I don't feel like going on 9 years later. I truly believe the Combat Update was the best thing that could have happened because the survival experience is much better due to it. Isolating a minute portion of the fanbase for the greater growth of the future was a hard decision, but the right one. edit: 1.8 changed combat too!! Most competitive players use 1.7 because 1.8 is strictly worse for many technical reasons, even beyond the animations. The real "click to win" update was back in Beta, before click delay was even added. Anyway, earned a sub! Just a nitpick I had. No hate in any manner.
Potions and enchanting were actually added in beta 1.8.9, just a few weeks before 1.0 dropped. Beta 1.8.9 was a testbed for the full release of the game and contains most of the 1.0 features.
thats not true, there was never such thing as beta 1.8.9, there was only beta 1.8 and 1.8.1, potions were added on beta 1.9 pre release 2, there was a total of 6 pre releases of 1.9 followed by the release candidate 1 and 2 versions which contained most of the features that ended in 1.0.0
Beta shoulda been higher seeing as the world gen was completely changed. It also coulda been ranked separately since beta 1.8 was such a big update on its own
how do you only have 400 subscribers on another note, I've been seeing a bunch of new random Minecraft youtubers with really good editing and production skills its kind of weird seeing all these new Minecraft youtubers with so much skill, and they all have generally the same type of channel or video ideas, for example "taking over server" or "destroying a server" its a little strange
Amazing keep creating!!
I would give 1.15 a b. It fixed so many bugs and honey blocks were a game changer for TMC.
