We haven't visited Cornwall for 10 years but it was on my long list to go to. I visited with my late parents in the mid 1980s when we were on holiday in Cornwall. I hate how the world is going, everything too expensive or closed down. Everything will be online soon.
Flambards at time definitely had a bit of magic to it. I remember thinking how privileged I was living so close to a theme park with a rollercoaster and more.
My girlfriend and I visited just 2 months ago …… wish we hadn’t. I’ve been coming to Flambards since I was a kid and it used to be like heaven to me. I appreciate that things change, but about 70% of the rides and attractions have gone! All we got was 3 or 4 average rides and the Victorian village. That’s about it. My last memory of Flambards 😢 Hornet coaster - gone Balloon ride (the good one) - gone Thunderbolt - gone Hyper glide - gone Exploratorium - gone Boats - gone Superbob/3d cinema - gone We were done with everything available in less than 2 hours. Such a shame that one of the best places of my childhood was reduced to average fair ground rides.
@@Doctor180185 I know so sad even the dodgems were a hire in ride not a bought one. Flambards knew this might happen it seems . Thanks for commenting I didn't recognise some of those rides .
Nice video, shame that Flambards closed down tbh. You Should do regular updates on Flambards to see if anything changes (like the rides being taken down etc) would be cool to see.
It’s so sad 😢, I think they should open it for one day and let all us Cornish RUclipsrs go round taking some final footage. Imagine how creepy the Victorian village/Britain in the blitz would be to walk around when empty. End of an era
Such a shame. Of all of it my happiest memories were Britain in the Blitz and the Victorian Village, so I hope someone buys it and rescues part of it if its possible. I feel that something could be done with the place but not quite sure what.
@@slytheringingerwitch so do I . If just a small part of it is kept somehow I could live with that. It is truly an end of era. I am planning to make more update videos and a walk around the perimeter of Flambards to see what is changing over the coming months. Love the video I've been flambards like 5 years now and I've loved the place alot and I never wanted to go to other theme parks because I feel like I was backstabbing them but flambards was my childhood and I literally live like a 10 minute walk from it but I've had good memories like operating the skyswinger and riding the log flume with ferdi I just hope someone buys it because the news was so sudden and sad now I have nothing to do down here
@@beaversquad2332 it's such a sad day I agree there is a lot less to do in Cornwall now. We are going to visit Springfields and paradise park a lot more now. Planning to get Springfields season passes
i went there last week to see the fireworks and prior that went on some of the rides and walked around the victorian village and literally never thought that it would close 😔
Growing up in Flambards as a kid I am absolutely gutted and for me growing up in Penzance and later moving up to Devon I am absolutely gutted I am now a theam park enthusiast who also works on rides for a living now and as sad as it is I think this will have a similar future to Camelot theme park that closed its doors in 2012 and still to this day sits abandoned the problem with Flambards is almost all of there rides are purchased second hand sky force originally was located at Cleethorpes pleasure Island and was moved to Flambards when that park closed down. They had a job to get it in that park and will have a even bigger job to get it out of it did get sold on moving on to the hornet roller coaster it was built around 1995 and coming up to now it is showing its age and I don’t see it being sold on unfortunately I think it will stand for some years trying to be sold but eventually get scraped. It’s so sad to see a park so close to home being permanently closed wishing all the best to you and all the staff that the park employed.
@ cool thanks if he is interested one of the old rides form the Camelot theme park actually operates at camel creek as the dragon rollercoaster at the bottom of the park it used to be called venom and space mountain before that

It will almost certainly be a housing development site
