Great footage mate. Feel a little emotional seeing it all from above one more time. Thankyou dude
@@JordiPZ cheers I have been emotional all week so had to make another video
@@cornwallfamilylifeHave you got round to breaking the news to the kids yet?
@JordiPZ it was actually the other way around they rang me at 11am when I was at work. I was really worried that something happened to the family and then they explained about Flambards. My son goes on the Flambards website more than they do.
We live near Manchester. Went to Cornwall every summer when my daughter was young. Used to visit Flambards every year. Happy memories. End of an era. xx
Sad end of an era hopefully the Victorian village can be saved I love that place the best
I miss flambards 😢
@@Gratesmell666 so do we. We are still in a period of mourning
Awesome drone footage, Cool to be able to see it from above. So sad it will be no more 😢
@@shellvlogs132 we are so very sad
New to this channel brill video will defo be subscribing!
@@pebsymax9113 welcome to the channel thanks so much for the comment 😀
I used to visit Flambards every year as a child on holidays to Cornwall in the early 90s.
It was easily the best day out of the holiday and my sister and I always couldn't wait to visit it.
Such a shame to see it go! 😢
@@EverydayTrains I bet it was magical when a lot of the attractions were brand new. Did you also enjoy the Victorian village
@cornwallfamilylife we did, I remember going round the blitz experience many times and all the small shop windows they used to have in there with different things inside.
I actually remember the Hornet opening and the big fanfare they made when it launched.
They used to have an old powered dragon rollercoaster there before the hornet. I believe it's layout was a bit like the flying fish at Thorpe Park.
@EverydayTrains wow 😯 I would have loved to have a ride on the hornet at the very beginning. We are so fortunate to live nearby and have spent many happy hours in our local theme park and recorded so many days out for memories. Our blitz and Victorian village videos may very well be the last ones made...
Thanks for taking the time to film and upload this video. I found it very interesting as,I’ve been to Flambards various times and never seen it from a birds eye view. Flambards looks bigger from the sky than it does when you’re at the Theme Park. Although Flambards was dilapidated it was a great day out and had a unique character to it. I’m crossing my fingers that someone purchases,Flambards poor in investment and ultimately reopens it. Flambards had a great potential to be a premier day out. It’s a pity that Livingstone Leisure ran it into the ground. I wouldn’t be surprised if Flambards lost its popularity due to it becoming stagnant due to poor management and upkeep. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Space Race accident of 2021 has played a part in the demise of Flambards. For a fairly small attraction the money paid out to the victims must have been catastrophic. More damagingly the reputation of Flambards would have been forever tainted. When I was a Kid Flambards was the place to be. Sadly in recent years Flambards lost a lot of its attractions. Flambards may now be history but it will live on in the memories of all who visited and enjoyed a great day out over the years. Flambards really was The Best Day Of The Week for many locals and holidaymakers for the best part of half a century.
Realistically do you think there’s hope of Flambards resurrecting under new ownership? Flambards returned from the grave when The Hale Family sold it in 2012 so I don’t see why it couldn’t again.
@@georgekoshti_richman1392 anything is possible but it is more likely that they sell the land to the highest bidder which will be real estate. The Victorian village is the thing that really needs to be saved now at all costs and remain in Cornwall
@@georgekoshti_richman1392 also thankyou for the comprehensive very informative comments 🤩
Wow this makes me a bit emotional, I came to this place as a child I used to be petrified of rides and this place is the only place I felt safe, I can’t believe space race is still there though I absolutely loved it I can’t believe my childhood holiday place is going it was so much fun for everyone 🥺
The whole of Cornwall and beyond is gutted...they are in talks to save the Victorian Village though.
Good video mate, well done
@@kennethwestlake1 thankyou stranger for your kind comments 🤣
SkyForce used to be called Pendulus it came from my home park Pleasure Island when the park closed permanently in October 2016. I'm hoping to see the ride make it's way back over to the north east although there isn't many parks round here now.
I hope it stays in the UK too. However it apparently uses a lot of energy compared to the other rides in the park
We've been around Cornwall for quite some time and never had the opportunity to look around this place. ngl, I'm a bit salty with amusement parks
Brilliant episode are you planning to do more drone videos around flambards over the winter to see what happens
@@beaversquad2332 not sure I'm still hopping someone will save it
@cornwallfamilylife I hope they do to if they get rid of flambards part of Cornwalls history we be gone especially the hornet
I've lived in Cornwall for 8 years. I had no idea this was here.
@@LordClunk really there signs everywhere. Better late than never.......oh wait
There may be signs everywhere. I've just not noticed them. I've never even heard the name. It's a shame as it's something I would have liked
@LordClunk sorry to hear that mate there are plenty of videos on it. One of the best made was by theme park worldwide. We actually bumped into them as they were filming and they were a major part of why we started vlogging
When did closed down of Flambards attractions because going to be replacing Theme Park before reopens again soon in Helston
@williamtacey7770 it announced it's closure last week there are no current plans to reopen it
Great views but so sad that Flambards has closed. Grew up at this place. I loved the Victorian Village so much. I feel it would be wrong to fully closed down the Village and fingers crossed it will be saved? The rest of the park will need an new owner to bring the park back to life.
If I was a very rich man I would love to take it over but I bet it's very hard to run such a large place at a profit 😞
Are you allowed to fly drones that close to RNAS Culdrose?
So sad to see flambards close down.
It really is. I think it will take time to really settle into that fact.
It's a pity that it's closed. It looks like quite a tidy theme park.
It was a good little theme park especially for Cornwall but lack of continued investment Over the years meant that it became a shadow of it's former self in the end.
Grew up in Cornwall. Flambards used to be magical to me.
Took my girlfriend there this summer (2024) and it was shit!
Such a shame what happened to the place.
It was such a shame in the end it wasn't as good as before but we thought it might have one more season in it 😕. A real shame for Cornwall 🥹
I miss when flambards had paintball
@@Evil_Vincenzo did it honestly have paintball where was that to?
part of it is going to be a childrens ferdi the fox play centre.
We visited on Sunday it was good fun 😊 but still sad about the main theme park
