Last minute of video for Touch of Grey is cut, audio remains.
Thirty one years ago today (now 3 Nov 2022). I was there with my 6 month old son. Last year, he bought me a ticket to see Dead & Company and he has a whole catalog of Dave's Picks Dead concerts.
I was there too! 😅
I was there too. Lived walking distance from there. Sounds like they got a board mix. Keeps getting better.
Owlsly stage left @about 11:50 !! Rather odd seeing him out front public !! Was a special day I suppose
RIP Bill Graham... You changed the music world in huge positive way...!
Took me all of 15 minutes to walk home at 12th and Balboa. What a magnificent time to be alive
Lived at 7th and Balboa. We were neighbors. Best concerts I've ever seen were in SF in the early 90s..
Same...but I was on Fredrick and ashbury
Jerry with no effects. Sounds great.
i would never noticed that but u r right :) the solo on SunShine Daydream is excellant :)
Hard to believe it was nearly 30 years ago. I was lost in the crowd near the back. Loving finding this gem. It was a wonderful day.
I was there! about a quarter of the way back from the stage. after the show me & my friends walked over to 710 Ashbury and sat on the steps and smoked a fatty. RIP UNCLE BOBO
It blew my mind when the Grateful Dead backed John up ....He was so lucky
He was so lucky? You don't think it was a mutual honor?
Hell in a Bucket to open a friend's memorial concert...never trust a prankster ; )
My son was born 4 days later and l named him Brent, l met and camped with Vince at Hoppe campground for the Grateful Dead Reunion show at Alpine. 😎
I met and hung out with Vince at the Renegade festival at Rollins Lake California back in 2001. We drank beer and puffed weed together and i started singing Here Comes Sunshine and he said "You got it!" He was a nice guy wasn't he? I was sad when i randomly picked up the newspaper and read about his suicide. That's cool you named your son Brent.
This was a party in the park honoring the late grate Uncle Bobo
“Hell In A Bucket” Kind of a double entendre opening up with that considering that
Bill Graham was aboard a helicopter that flew into a high tension power pole…
“”I may be going to hell in a bucket but at least I’m enjoying the ride””… epic.
An if memory serves me… Last Time… closer .. Powerful Emotional connections with Thee Good Ole You Know Who ❤ !!
Crossed my mind too. What hit me most of all was “may come a day I will dance on your grave, if unable to dance, I will crawl across it…” Fkn weird one Bobby…
I was driving into SF with a couple of friends from New Mexico in my '69 VW bus when we heard about Bill's passing and this concert. So grateful that we got to be there and honor such a legend and to hear so much amazing music. Funny story is that the place was packed and there was nowhere to park, but a vacant bus stop - And I thought to myself - Hey, this is a bus and parked there - was so happy to find my VW untouched and without even ticket... That, the incredible line up, Robin Williams and the plane dropping carnations down on all of us made it one of the most memorable concerts of my life!
I'll never forget this day and it was the last time I saw the Dead as well. I remember the huge plane that flew overhead and dropped all those flowers over the crowd. What a beautiful day it was for the memorial!
I had forgotten that. Thanks for the reminder!
I still have my Bart ticket and a benefit bill graham button. There were no tickets as it was a free concert. Great time. Me and two friends went from Sacramento.
I remember this day, i was staying next to a horse with a policeman on it's back. He had a smile on his face from ear to ear. I just smiled and took a nuther hit It was a very cool time. It was on a Sunny Sunday.. It was tuff to go to work the next day. I am verry happy that somebody pressed "RECORD"
Loven it here in Oregon USA.
R. I. P. BILL, JERRY AN FRIEND'S...

The horse or the officers😁?
My brother's coworker gave him a couple hits of acid but couldn't verify if they were good anymore. We took them for this concert and authenticated their quality. Unforgettable day but regretfully, this was only time I saw the Dead.
I was there and remember it very well, thanx for posting. It was an awesome day!!! Sounds great!!! It was announced that they weren't going to be there, and I'll never forget seeing Phil's cases during CSN&Y set and freaking out that they were going to play. It's because of shows like this one that I've been a sound engineer for the past 25 yrs. Lots of great memories to thank these guys for. This show definitely added to what's was a life changing time period for me. Thanks for again for the post.
I was there, but I lived on 44th Ave. so it wasn't a far walk. I'm glad you're a sound engineer. The sound system at that show sucked.
Yes. Very hard for The Dead to play, as a backup band. What a day. May we always stay forever young 🙏 ❤
Me and my friend's were there Boat f
@@mcmike100 I was living on 41st Ave. between Balboa and Cabrillo...5 min walk to the Polo Fields.
cool..... do you happen to remembert what PA they nhad? i am a deadhead speaker freak :) i was there too.... it looked like big Mayer boxes..... like 4 to a side? it was not big ol array system, it was more garage band vibe :)
Present after hopping 13 trains from OHIO with 2 grand in my pocket and 1/4 oz of Miami shale and a washbottle of crystal....them were the day's of freedom.
I was there. I heard about it on the radio. I just happened to be in SF at the time. Took a taxi. The radio said do not drive there...... A once in a lifetime concert experience.
I was there. The Dead were the "House Band" for Neil Young and John Fogerty.
Actually, they were, "special guests", of the Grateful Dead....
Did John’s guitar sound as bad as it does here. He’s got a Marshall half stack and it sounds like he’s working with a 10watt practice amp
No effects for Jerry. Just straight into the amp.
Oh man, remember listening to this when it was broadcast live, I was digging a hole for a pond in the backyard. Wasn't much of a Grateful Dead fan but really enjoyed the long instrumental sessions. Made enough of an impression back then that I looked it up and found this. Wish so much I'd gotten onboard so many years ago, coulda, shoulda been a Deadhead!
bobtube58 Still plenty of time to listen to the dead-span. While I don’t like many sounds/bands after Jerry’s passing, it is all in the same spirit. I was fortunate to catch 213 GD shows in my lifetime. Check check out the re-listen app. So good. My 1500 tapes are obsolete. Peace.
Actually in my opinion, the Fogerty portion of the program bored the shit out of Garcia.
... When the segment ended, two things were apparent to me. 1- Fogery exited the stage without acknowledging his "supporting band". REALLY ??
2- Garcia clapping his hands as Fogery exits stage.
I believe Jerry's just clapping cause it's over !!
...no disrespect towards Fogerty, Just out of his league.
That's all 🤗😇❗
Grateful Dead had it all ! From Golden Gate to the Entire Universe... And That's become now 4Ever Grateful 4Ever Dead ! 😊
The world's greatest rock band and all I know because my dad raised me up on CCR and these guys The grateful Dead are the world's greatest rock band or whatever left they'll ever be and I say that with all my heart

What a long strange trip life has been since the dead era. Trippin around the country in a van with some few friends and drugs going to see a kick ass band. Only care in the world was getting to the next show

A lot of people commenting here who were there. I was too. Don't know of it was the best concert I've ever been to but maybe the most special?
I was there with friends from SFV was amazing . flowers from heaven.. 👅😄😃😀😊
I was there! Loving the music, the vibes, the life!
I too, attended this once in a lifetime event with gratitude for the life of Bill Graham. That day was one of my most cherished experiences. I actually saved a couple of the carnations until they literally crumbled into dust. What a gem to find this video...huge thanks for sharing!
Ha...just stumbled upon this one. I was there. Great day in the park...CSN&Y essentially opened for the Boys....both sets were great examples of how great music just happens sometimes......
I'm thankful I was there but still will ever be the grateful Dead or the world's greatest rock band that will ever be the accompanied anybody they packed anybody up they saved other musicians from their fate The grateful Dead did the best they ever could cuz they wanted to do is bring everybody into the great loving fun of rock and roll that's the greatest band ever no
One of the most memorable days of tribute, I can recall. The loving Donna years.
Magic all around...rip Uncle Bobo

Seated center memorial, ended up three rows back.
Thank you so much for posting this!! This was such an amazing day!! What a blessing to have been part of such a wonderful experience. I especially, remember the big mound of rice that was dumped next to the stage for some reason.🤣
This is awesome to find on RUclips. I was there that day. A group of friends from school drove down from Chico the night before. All the great performers there, the dead, csr, journey, robin williams, and a lot more. We were to the right of the stage about 100 yards out.
OMG. I can’t believe I found this on RUclips. Was there with my buddy Sawan. Epic show. Otis Spunkmeyer forever.
An event that's embedded in my soul. Yes, I too was there. From my view Ive witnessed the most beautiful happenings that life could offer. From the Hippies dancing on the food trucks to the Hippies in the pines swaying back and forth to the guy who was recording the event on a reel to reel next too me. For that moment in time, I had the best friends anyone could have !!
Such a great memory
Just found this for the first time after all these years. I was there and it was one of the most special Dead shows ever for me. I must have been really close to the cameraman, in fact so that is amazing. You can see how distracted Jerry is. This is not too long after Brent's death and Jerry rarely played the same after that.
I love you but am calling bullshit Greg. Jerry not distracted. He whipped out an astonishing other one and very right wharf rat and considering the day and occasion he did great. Not distracted. Not once ever. Have seen hundreds of his shows and he was a consummate professional every single night. Extremely focused. And I love you. But that's bullshit
@@veek.6463 lol never distracted? yeah okay. very professional to basically be ODing onstage. plenty of that. go listen to the last show
My first show! I'm stoked to stumble across this. Thank you jerry and the boys for the good life....
Every time I watch this rendition of Forever Young, I get goosebumps. Jerry’s solo riff is a masterpiece.
I was there, and this WAS a very Special show the whole day was a perfect tribute to Bill...
I LIVED on Ashbury St then.
When trippin around up there I’d always think or say…”ohhh if this street could talk..”
I lived on Schrader and Waller. Those were the days...
BILL GRAHAM MEMORIAL CONCERT 11/3/91 Golden Gate Park San Francisco
Sound guy did John Fogerty dirty using a crappy mic on his amp. He’s got a Marshall half stack and it sounds like he’s working with a 10watt practice amp
I was there! This was the day after my Birthday (and only 7 1/2 months after I had moved to San Francisco!)
i so miss Jerry; he was a gentle man and a gentleman
he really was a teddy bear
We😎 All🎶🎶🤗Jerry🎶🎶🎶🎶😂
So🎶🎶Verry😂🎶🎶🎸 Much🎶🎶
And? Miss😭 Him🎸🐢🌹
Fore? He🤗 Was? Our🎶🎶🐻😭
So you knew him personally? That is so cool!
I’m watching this because I can’t remember all the details of the day. I have this memory of Otis Spunnkmeyer flying over the crowd dropping flowers over us. Did that really happen? LOL?!?!
Yes it did, i my self had to ask that about a lot of thing's i seen that day. Good🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄
I'm so happy that somebody pressed "RECORD" 😎
Yes happened
Was there like 2 weeks before with Ben n Jerry’s fest then back for this tribute- First time BT opened and Popper sat in - sad and amazing ….Rip Bill
Little did they know hallucinogenic mushrooms are growing right behind them and they still are
They're California boys in a park ...they know there's mushrooms

Yup. I was there, too! kl
The thing about the Dead was, when they were on, there was no better band in the world. But when they were off... they really SUCKED. On this day they were on fire. Great show!
I was there.
Thank you!
Great Sound!! Thank you!!
I skipped school for this show
I was there, did 13 gram wash, then 30 gram wash, then got hit in the head with a red carnation & Chinese New Years tickets. Best show ever❤😂🎉😢!!!
✌️
Neil stopping Jerry's solo is so Neil. He never offered JG his due respect IMHO.
Need more Neil Young with the Dead.

Bobo's wake?
Love Bobby weir's tight jeans
TheTube is too loud. He does not understand his role. Chill out Vince. Shut up and listen to your elders.
He doesn't mix the sound moron. He doesn't have control over how Healy placed him into the live sound or the recording
setboy1 Please don't call him a "moron."
No thank you.
How would you know since obviously you lack one with these lame comments.
Smoked the FU--K OUT
It was foggy as hell when Bill left Concorde that last night...i miss him on the lot..✌️
