Oww
You should do the Red Mocho Cooler from The Venture Brothers.
Just a heads up the frozen drinks recipe link is broken, this one works though: www.cocktailchemistrylab.com/home/frozen-drinks
I've been making frozen versions of my wife's Vietnamese coffee:
- 4oz pour over Cafe Du Monde (orange can, for whatever reason that's what they use in Motherland)
- A couple heaping spoonfuls of sweetened condensed milk (when I watch her make it the regular way, it always looks like she puts way too much, so don't be scared to add more if you want it sweeter)
- Slowly add crushed ice while blending until nice and thick
My American taste buds really like to add a spoonful or two of Coco Lopez. That's straying a little, but much better for the blended version.
The regular Vietnamese coffee is just the pourover coffee and SCM with crushed ice.
Edit: I forgot for a sec this was an alcohol channel. If you want to booze it up, swap out an ounce or two of coffee with Mr Black. I've never done it but I'm sure I'd like it if I were so inclined.
should do this kind of video for each season
time for a new grinder as well!
your espresso machine looks way too nice for just the Encore! consider upgrading the grinder, it really makes a huge difference
I liked the cheeky Aunty Donna reference!
These drinks look great! Thank you!!!
Came for the drinks, stayed for the deep cut aunty donna reference
I just tried the frozen coffee one, SO good!
Good looking drinks as usual. All look delicious
I feel like a tall frozen drink could use a sippy cylinder
4:23 I remember this frozen Irish coffee recipe from your 2018 Irish coffee video. OMG yes it is so good. Literally, this is my go-to crowd pleaser. It's literally a spiked Frappuccino. I use Kahlua and Armagnac brandy. But actually freezing the coffee into ice cubes is a smart touch. I always find myself making the coffee then having to wait a hot minute for the coffee to chill in the refrigerator. Having a larger ice cream to ice cube ratio will give this drink a consistency closer to that of a milkshake for sure.
Nice video, I will try that frozen Moscow mule!
AWESOME!!! The frozen Negroni. I must try NOW!!! Ive got some strawberry infused Campari on hand!!! This is going to be great!!!!!
Wow, I sure want one of these frozen Strawberry Negronis!! Talk about delicious!! I can't wait to try this beauty!! Thank you for the info about how a cold temp impacts sweetness in a cocktail!! I didn't realize cold dampens sweetness. That's important to know. Thanks so much for the amazing video!! :-)
I love the creativity in this approach
Hey Nick, great video as always (coming here from the frozen Jagerita vid, always looking to expand my summer drink repertoire!) One thing I think your viewers would appreciate is if you put the ingredient specs in the episode description like most of the other youtube cocktail channels do. That way we won't have to click an extra link to get to the website! Cheers from Boston
Thanks for the video
That coffee drink looks amazing!
As always, great content. Can't wait to try the negroni. Is there anything you could come up with using Sambuca?
Around here it is kind of rainy and cold... None the less I need to try the first. It looks so tasty!
That Frozen Negroni looks awesome!
Impressive mid-air tamping!
Just made the frozen negroni, perfect on a hot day like today!
Fever tree is the best ginger beer. Hands down.
Frozen Negroni sounds delicious.
Haha. The coffee shop pictured on the Trade Coffee website was my favorite cafe in East Nashville--Stay Golden. It has since turned into Joyland, owned by celebrity chef Sean Brock. What a small world.
The coffe one is one of the best looking drinks i've ever seen
I gotta say it's a ... coool idea ... chemistry pun intended 😆
Damn, these all look amazing
Nice. Do you ike frozen cocktails ? Brain freeze waiting you) very nice recipes.
Southern hemisphere here watching this on January, because now it's fricking hot
My biggest question is, will the just ice plus blender cause the drink to become too stiff? Also, maybe too watery?
I would LOVE to see more frozen drink videos! I am from Louisiana so I would take all the frozen videos I can get. Your expert version of the Pina Colada I make every summer. Appreciate it
I make Irish coffee milkshakes all the time. I use coffee ice cream
These look great, I'd love to try them and incorporate them into new ideas!
What brewing ratio did you use for the frozen coffee? Also, which method?
pourover!
I have a good frozen recipe for what I call a Pineapple daquiri (though it's kind of a misnomer): 2 cups of water, 1/2 cup agave nectar, 1/2 cup bourbon, 16 oz frozen pineapple chunks. Real daquiris have rum, and probably use simple syrup instead of agave nectar, but I wasn't sure what else to call it.
I'm gonna try them all! When you say, "throw in some mezcal", do you mean 1:1 in place of vodka or addition to the vodka? Thank you!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I'm number 4!!!
Jokes on you, I’ve never gotten a brain freeze before
Where were you when it was 115 degrees up here in Portland?
I have to ask, why brandy and not Irish whiskey in your "Irish Coffee"? Unless it's an Irish brandy it isn't Irish at all.
Yeah I don't get this either. Irish coffee should have a smooth blended Irish whiskey in it.
This seems more like a frozen Brandy Alexander, or heading in that direction
Baratza Encore with the Profitec???
I'm not Irish... But I still feel abused watching someone make an "Irish" anything with brandy instead of whiskey 😂 still gonna try it tho
I'm kinda sad that you put in the Ginger Beer before blending, as it is usually nicely sparkly. But I get you wanna really include the taste properly
You could add it later and stir it in carefully
I love putting jäger in my mules. I call it a Berlin Mule.
Sub frozen strawberries for the ice.
I honestly don't remember how I got into negronis so early within my cocktail exploration (or just alcohol in general for that matter), but I'm pretty sure it was because of a frozoni.
i think ill be using the expression "frisky with some whiskey" on a daily basis from now on...
Think I'll risk my bowels rebelling against me, and try the Irish Coffee one with some good ice cream. Looks delicious.
Your Irish coffee looks and sounds amazing, however, what's Irish about it at all?
Alcohol :P
waching this made me want a forzen white russian
Putin probably has a few spares he can give you
Here for the negroni, need me them gin drinks
Am I the only person who thought of Camp Krusty after seeing his coffee lacquer?
Brandy rather than Irish Whiskey?
If only we had a blender I'd make some for my family
Frozen Last Word
pinch of salt in the frozen Negroni?
"likely pretty hot" lol not in the UK :D
What, no Cold Fashioned?? You have to up the Angostura, but that's about it.
Brain freeze...you got too excited and suffered for forgetting about it.
If shaking vermouth is a crime (And it is) then blending it should be a war crime tried in the Hague
The coffee one is not Irish unless you use Jameson whiskey
why would you make an Irish coffee with brandy and not... Irish whiskey?
like this is cool and all but that's not an Irish coffee lol
A little late
