Fact: In Central America put the skin and heart of the pineapple in a pot with a bit of sugar and cinnamon stick and you can make pineapple water, for hot tea or cold. Cheers!
I made something very similar to the last one a couple nights ago! Instead of muddling Thai basil, I used a cinnamon-infused simple syrup. That was pretty darn good too.
Bru... I've been watching your blogs & drinking my dinner. I'm really impressed, you got a new follower. Saludos desde Ciudad de México (My greetings from Mexico City).
You can make "watermelon" ice cubes with the watermelon that you do not juice. Just cut into cubes and place in silicone ice cube trays to keep them from freezing together. Makes for an excellent snack in your glass after finishing your Spicy Flamingo.
This channel has become my most recent quarantine obsession. I spent this past Sunday juicing a watermelon and making Spicy Flamingos for my family. Thanks for the awesome content!
Love these videos! Really helped me get started making coctails. Especially your past video on starting a home bar, everything i needed for basic coctails was on that list and its super fun to make them!
If you have the pineapple scraps and the pulp from the nut bag. You can make a very tasty pineapple infused sugar syrup by making up your basic recipe for a sugar syrup solution and adding the pineapple pulp and skin. Let’s simmer but not boil for about 10 to 20 minutes and then strain out the pulp and skin the same way you straight out the pulp from the juice. It has a slightly different taste to pure pineapple juice and sweeter because of the sugar and very good to use in... well cocktails and a home-made soda
A good sipping tequila is all I need. Forget everything else, a glass of corzo anejo with one rock is a glorious drink. Bonus points if you grill that pineapple first. I just made some bourbon pina coladas last night with bourbon, coco lopez, lime juice, grilled pineapple, and a small dash of cream. The grilled pineapple really stood up to the bourbon without being too tart.
We just made ourselves some tequila thai-napples with some fresh Thai basil out of our garden. Been lookin for a good use for it. These are some of the best drinks weve ever had. 👍👍
As this is your most recent video I propose this here (although it doesn't quite fit) I recently rewatched your gin Tonic viedo and saw you usind an elderflower tonicwater that gave me the Idea to try something with elderflower as well... As the elder is blooming here right now I used elderflower and put quite a lot of it into vodka (probably works with all spirits, I chose vodka due to its lack of taste) The elderflower gives it quite a nice taste, and the elderflower vodka can be used to vary the taste of a lot o cocktails. I hope you read and try this
I almost came here with a smartass comment saying that brandy is a whiskey then I realized that I was thinking of bourbon and I almost made a fool of myself
Did you Turman if the pineapple is ripe or not grab one of the leaves from the crown and pull… If the leaf pulls out cleanly with a very faint snap then it is ripe. If you have difficulty pulling it out and it requires more of a tug then it is still green and if it pulls out with only a touch the pineapple is overripe.
Thank you for this one I have cheap tequila and other Palomas Margaritas or mixing it with sharkleberry fin Kool aid I never really know what to do with the stuff
I think it was Alton Brown who recommended 'juicing' a watermelon with a stick blender by cutting a round hole in the watermelon just large enough to get the blender in, putting the blender in, and blending it right inside the rind.
To get a better result with the Tequila Thai-napple I guess you could nitro muddle the thai basil or at least blend it to get most of the flavour out. Dave Arnold's Liquid Intelligence has extensively covered this topic which I think would give an amazing result in this case! Cheers!
yep, I've done some nitro muddling before. Wouldn't really fit the simple theme of the video but blender muddling would have been a fun taste test comparison
Your comments I have seen, I shall pronounce it TA-HEEN

Hahaha thanks for getting ahead of the comment storm.
"Grab a rocks glass and fill it with a couple um... rocks" Beautifully spoken sir.
Most people hoard toiletpaper and flour. Nick horads agave syrup
Great video, just a heads up, Tajin is pronounced “tah-heen”
DOUCHE
Jerk!
I mean you aren’t wrong ! Better to be corrected than pronouncing it wrong every time.
@@RavioliSquirrel lol he was pretty polite about it. Giving information isnt hurtful.
Adam Beers yea ok bud
Pronounces Julio right, messes up Tajin
Ta-heen?
@@scrunchycrumbundles8013 Yup! Means "built of constant smoke" in Mayan!
Isaac Kracoff that’s how I usually pronounce it but other industry people look at me like a weirdo. Thanks for the translation!

5 cocktails with Take Five in the background. Easily the best pun of the whole series.

Love Thai Basil! It works so well with sweetness acidity and a great alternative to the more common Basil!
“Leave the severed head for the intimidation factor.” Lol
Great selections Nick!! I do love me a delicious Tequila old fashion. Your recipe is spot on!

Each of these cocktails look like they'll come in handy this summer! I can't wait to make fresh watermelon and pineapple juice - sans nut milk bag!
"Tequila Mockingbird"
Did he just....?
That's his specialty
He's Tequilaing us softly
Instantly demonetized.

SO. GOOD.
Really enjoy the professionalism and attention to detail in your videos 👍
"Now don't be salty as we're skipping the triple sec"
Salt intensifies
I typically just drink tequila on the rocks with a little hint of lime but these look dope
You can also gently tug on a leaf if it pulls easily it’s ripe
A good sipping tequila is all I need. Forget everything else, a glass of corzo anejo with one rock is a glorious drink.

I did the Paloma and Thai napple, and that last one is fabulous
Tajín IS THE BEST!! Thank you for respect that 😍😍🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽 my favorite cocktail is “El Vampirito”
We just made ourselves some tequila thai-napples with some fresh Thai basil out of our garden. Been lookin for a good use for it. These are some of the best drinks weve ever had. 👍👍

As usual, gonna go and suggest you do brandy/cognac next! Great vids!
I almost came here with a smartass comment saying that brandy is a whiskey then I realized that I was thinking of bourbon and I almost made a fool of myself

Would be fun !
I love love love a tequila old fashioned with chocolate bitters 😍😍
Nick: the history of this drink is-
Me, who found this channel through The Modern Rogue: apocryphal?
Ah, my prayers have been answered. This is a happy day.
That Thai-napple sounds like genius, Thai Basil has got amazing flavour, never thought about using it in a drink.
I wish we could get all those tequilas in Australia

I’m gonna call straws sippy cylinders from now on
I'm gonna try that fire trick at home, but I'll probably end up burning down my kitchen
Just make sure you film it!
It's super cool and works very well when you get how you have to squeeze the peel. Don't get it too thin!
I’ve been enjoying the Rocks brand of tequila Termana. Tasty and not too expensive. Gonna have to try it with these.
You had me at Take Five...
Tried the Tommy margarita with a smoked tequila. Delicious!
Add a couple drops of saline and watch the flavors really come alive! 😜
I made the Oaxaca old fashioned just now, and it was amazing! Like tequila candy!
Do vodka next please
4:55 Nick's fruit-killing skills are remarkable!
Thank you for this one I have cheap tequila and other Palomas Margaritas or mixing it with sharkleberry fin Kool aid I never really know what to do with the stuff
Also good if you wanna get funky: Tommy's Margarita with acid-adjusted orange juice!
Great video. You keep giving me idea's.
What is the best thing to mix with tequila?
I think it was Alton Brown who recommended 'juicing' a watermelon with a stick blender by cutting a round hole in the watermelon just large enough to get the blender in, putting the blender in, and blending it right inside the rind.
What is your education background? Any culinary training? Love your methods, one hobbiest to another!
Tequila slammer
I always make it when i watch Hardboiled. Maybe you could give pointers on how to make it fizz extra like in the films opening?
been a fan for quite sometime. your flavor blaster has touched Philippine soil. I also have a channel dedicated to this wondeful profession. cheers
I make my Palomas with half grapefruit juice and half Grapefruit Soda. Best of both worlds
The paloma pun was three in one breath. You should be really proud of yourself
The watermelon juice is also a great thing for a daiquiri !
Where do you get those juice containers he used for the watermelon juice
Have you tried partnering the Thai basil with other spirits? If so, how did that work? Another great video!
Whenever I encounter the word "TEQUILA" it reminds me of that music from the '50s
I have a bottle of Taramana tequila. What is a good cocktail to use this one in? I had to try it because it’s The Rock’s tequila!
Great quality videos!
The Tommy Margarita is fantastic. Next I need to find the "salt/spice" you used
You have completed the long island iced tea with rum, vodka, tequila and gin
To get a better result with the Tequila Thai-napple I guess you could nitro muddle the thai basil or at least blend it to get most of the flavour out. Dave Arnold's Liquid Intelligence has extensively covered this topic which I think would give an amazing result in this case! Cheers!

Could you do a video about Bloody Mary's? I know most Bartender's dislike making them, but please consider it. Thanks
What are those bottles with glass seal?
I've been enjoying the Black Russian a lot lately, so how about vodka cocktails next?
this episode had some of the worst puns , love it
Suffering through the puns to try a new drink or 2. Worth it? Time will tell.
how fitting. its my 20th birthday today and i bought some bourbon rum and tequila. thanks!
Any idea if mint would work instead of the Thai basil?
Yo, the pineapple one, haven't tried it yet, but doesn't it look like it would really benefit in having some peppermint?
Have you ever tried José Cuervo, Nick? 🤔
amazing drinks! I wonder, can you switch tequila in flamingo to mescal? Smoky notes with watermelon sounds grate.
definitely!
5:23~ 8:10~ #NutMilkBag
Mi Casa Tequila!!! Awesome stuff
How do I get into spokepos
Oh man, I love the channel, but that “tah-jeen” pronunciation really got to me 😂 “Tah-heen”
He once pronounced it "Tay jin"
Please, can You do vídeo about peruvian pisco
Can you make an accurate depiction of the Rosewater Ricky as mentioned in the Big Bang Theory? Or the grasshopper from The Big Bang Theory?
Where did you get that glass bottle you stored your pineapple juice in
I think a thrift shop
Am I the only one who just realised that the song in the background is "Take Five" from The Dave Burbeck Quartet, but slitghly altered?
what's your verdict on the rock's Teremana?
Oh damn he really pulled out that E-40
Do the Krusty the crown cocktail:
Champaign + Slim Fast
Here I am, slapping sunny D with the cheapest vodka I can find....
I'll never say no to more of your nut milk bag, Nick.
Can a dude tell me which song the bgm is?
