i was at that Livingston m8 jcn3 Deer Park BP Pulse chargers on Monday evening this week with my iv60 - similar charge experience to you - I was at 9% and the best I saw was 96kw when I first plugged in. Hi 👋 My Q4 is meant to charge at up to 125kW as it’s still on the original software from 2021 (though I’ve had 130kW from Fastned lol). I believe the long awaited update is imminent which should give 135kW with an improved charge curve, plus OTA updates 😮 Looked back at my trip from last year when I stopped at Porsche and Stafford- I didn’t do any better than you at Porsche- 87kW at 21% was poor. Ionity at Stafford wasn’t much better but I was at a higher state of charge. Return journey I did the same chargers and didn’t do any better. I probably could have done better with shorter charges and arriving with lower % but I wanted to get back in as few stops as possible as the weather wasn’t great. Also I built in a bit extra on the charge at Stafford on the way down as I had time and it meant less time charging on the way back as I was returning the same afternoon 🤦♂️
Hi my Enyaq IV 80 had not got the option to charge over 50 kw charging when the car was bought. Ive bought the car used with the me 3.0 software. I have tested it on a rapid charger 350kw on our trip to Oxford but the charging seemed to cap at 50kw which was a bit concerning. I suppose the question I’m asking is does the me 3.0 software give my car the ability to charge up to 135kw even though the car didn’t initially have that extra when new I have asked Skoda and they have said that my car is not eligible for an update..
i've quite enjoyed your videos and i'm thinking about buying an Enyaq myself. though i have some concerns about the size. how does it do in parking houses and smaller parking lots? we're only two people so it's quite the large car for our needs and if it's a bother to maneuver around in tighter spaces i might go for another car.
Did you pay for the higher charging rate? I've got a bog standard Enyaq 60 with a (alleged) max charge rate of 100kW charge rate. That's not an issue for me for several reasons. 1) I don't do long trips 2) Wherever I want to drive, there don't appear to be any chargers over 75kW.
