Easy Threed EasyWare K9 slicer software how to use. Impressions

- Hello everyone. This is my 3rd video on the Easy Threed K9 mini 3D printer.
Today it’s my take on the EasyWare K9 slicer software provided with the K9 printer on the SD card. I explore its features and show you how to use it. This will be useful for those new to 3D printing. I will be doing another video on the Cura slicer that’s also supplied free by Easy Threed and testing to see if there are any differences between it and EasyWare for slicing for the K9
In future videos I will be taking a look at designing a bracket to hold a 1kg reel and using the K9 printer to print it using PLA which I will anneal for added strength.

@@sagitario9295 it should be on your SD card if you do not have it on your SD card, I wouldnt bother downloading it. You would be better with Ultimaker Cura. Its s a much better software. I have tried the EasyThreed website but I get constant virus warnings. It might no longer be safe. I think Cura is the best option. You should find a configuration file on your SD card to configure Cura which you can use with all versions of Cura.
So i want to order a 3d printer but idk what is: us,AU,UK,EU,JP
Available Locations maybe ? Looks like Unites states (US), Australia au, united kingdom, europe, japan …..i ordered mine from across seas to be sent to the US….one arrived and the other is still on the way (same one purchased off Temu directly from the merchant)
I can't find the "k9" option I have downloaded the easy ware and a bunch of options are there except the k9 would you be able to give me the download link for it if there is?

Thanks for your comment and watching the video. Im sorry that you had this issue. The EasyWare Slicer that I used was from the SD card that comes with the printer. It installed for me with K9 shown in the top left. I assumed that it was created for the K9. Did you use the one from the SD card? When you say "downloaded" does that mean you got it from EasyThreed.com? I was going to suggest looking on the Website but if you didnt try the software on the SD card, that might be the way to go. Im also just doing a video on how Ulltimaker Cura 5.4.0 can be used. That will be upcoming in the next few days. I apologise for keeping your comment so long without an answer. I hope you weren't inconvenienced by the delay in getting back to you. If there are any supplemental questions I will prioritise them going forward. Kind regards and Best wishes. PS I installed this both on a Mac and a Win computer and both worked fine. I did have a few small issues with a Win 11 laptop with the SD card.
Is there a way to print directly from the pc? I dont have sd card port in my laptop
Yes, it can be done by connecting the PC to the printer and then using software such as OctoPrint (octoprint.org). I have not tried this personally because I always use and have used the SD card for the GCODE files. There is a USB cable connector on the machine and you can connect it to the computer. OctoPrint is freeware and you can of course download it. Its a topic that I have no experience of but I am definitely going to look into it after this. It looks like exciting software for what you can do with it. There is a big community for OctoPrint so I'm sure you can find support. Kind regards & Best wishes.
I increase the temperature for 200 but after slicing it goes back to 180. Is the temp saved in the gcode at 180 or 200?
yes... I have same problem with you. it still be 200. Not for 180 anymore.
I am not able to explain the reseting of the temperature. I noticed myself. It might be time to consider upgrading to Cura slicer instead. If so go to the latest version which I can testify works perfectly with the K9 and all settings will then be available to access and alter. The build volume also needs to to changed to 10x10x10, of course and you maybe able to get further help and support from the Reddit EasyThreed community. Sorry for the late reply. I cant print anymore. After my first print it refuses to print anything else
The after sale support wont respond back…..i did EXACTLY what you did in the video and it still wont print!!!!! What did i do to mess it up

Sorry you had these difficulties. Its hard to provide support but there is an EasyThreed Reddit. You can post the problem. Generally printer companies don't offer support. Premium machines maybe yes but not on the budget machines. Its normal unfortunately. If you can explain what went wrong, I can try to help but a forum would be your best bet. People are very helpful. There are also a multitude of forums on Reddit for general 3D printing and I'm sure someone will be able to help. The main thing is to carefully explain the problem and symptoms you have experienced with the machine. The config file is on the SD card. I think its hidden deeply in sub folders etc and isn't easy to find.The file is in Manual, video, software/Slicer Software, video, manual/For Mac/Cura Mac, video --- prints quality good This is as it appears on my SD card supplied with the printer. I note you've advised you are using a Mac. Cura should run on your Mac. It can be obtained from the Ultimaker Cura website: ultimaker.com/software/ultimaker-cura/

I can not change Temp on Eaythreed K9 slicer. How to change temp at it.
Ive noticed this myself. I can't explain why it resets to 180 or indeed if it does save the file at your amended temperature. This might be the point to consider upgrading to Cura. In that case go to the latest version of Cura. It works perfectly well with the K9 provided that the build volume is changed to 10x10x10cm. There is a community on Reddit for the EasyThreed printers now also and you may be able to find tips from there to help. Sorry I did not respond to your question earlier. I hope you were able to resolve it yourself but in any case, I hope this was helpful if somewhat late in the day. Kind regards & best wishes.
How do i download the software plz
EasyWare software is on the SD card which came with the printer. It would be better if you could use that version as its set up for the K9. It can also be downloaded from the EasyThreed.com website but it might not be configured for the K9. Others have made the comment that they were not able to find the configuration files for the K9. It would be very much better to use the version on the SD card if possible. Thank you for watching and thanks for your comment.
Can you use this on an ender 3
Thanks for watching the video & your comment. I would not recommend using the EasyWare slicer for an Ender 3. Your best option is Prusa Slicer which you can get free from Prusa and it will give you superb results from your Ender 3. It comes with a set up wizard. Go through it and choose the Ender 3 profile. I. will shortly be doing a video on this to help people get set up on the K9. It can be a bit daunting at first, but you will soon be flying through it. Download here:

How to download the software

I can only print the calicat that it comes with because it wont read any of my files

@@Weapons4days I really cannot imagine why that would be. Its worked fine for me. Have you tried using other .STL files from Thingiverse for example? Its really important they are all STL files which it should load no problem. You could try installing the CURA version on the SD card. Unfortunately I've yet to try the Cura as supplied. Its my next job. Also the 3D printing forum on Reddit. People are very helpful. If you post your issue etc someone may be able to help sort it out.
