How do you do a hard reset on the 12 inch uconnect system?
I have a uconnect 5 in my 22 Laramie 3500, Satt radio was not working properly from new, I held the volume button in for 10 sec, and it did a hard reset, now it works like a charm.

Yes, push and hold till it comes back on kinda like reset on your phone

Hey. Been having problems with the Uconnect 8.4 system in my 2014 Grand Cherokee. Talked to my local dealer in California and confirmed the radio unit is dying, and I'm trying to limp it along to get a replacement or just trade the vehicle in. In any respect, the radio is stuck in what seems to be an incomplete update cycle. It gives me an old school looking screen that says "install USB drive" and whether or not I insert one, it then switches to a black screen with an hourglass and a message that says "wait 2-5 minutes". Then after about 2 minutes it flashes back to the "install USB drive" screen. I've tried both the soft reset (push Mute and Tune buttons for 10-20 sec) and the hard reset (push the driver's side temp up and down buttons) but nothing breaks it out of the cycle. If I park the vehicle, exit and lock it, the radio display continues to go thru the cycle until the battery shutdown happens. But when I come back to the vehicle and unlock it, the radio goes right back to the insert USB/please wait 2-5 minutes cycle. Is there any way to break out of that cycle and get back to the normal boot cycle for the radio? Please help. Thanks.

Need to know how to reset the Jeep Compass 2018 Navigation system?
Hi, I have a 2019 Dodge Caravan, the touch screen isn’t working, i can navigate the radio with the buttons on the steering wheel but can’t do anything on the touch screen, the screen isn’t broken or cloudy so i don’t think the screen has to be replaced... but then again I’m not the expert so do you know how i can fix this or do i have to replace the whole radio??? Ty

My 2018 Navagition radio keeps asking if I want to set the time, shows yes or no when I push either it simply goes back to showing the same thing with brackets on each of the time reading ad chimes will not go of screen sometimes does then returns if it needs a reset for update how is it done I have tried to hold both radio buttons in for 30 sec in on mode stays clear for a few days then reverts back to asking if I want to reset time nThank You
Please could explane to how to reset a nip for the keysense. That key control the speed the radio and some option when it s use on pacifica limited 2017. I am the second owner on the vr. and I don't have the nip to control tah option. Chrysler said I have to contact the dealer to ahve a new pin for that key.

I have a 2015 Journey Crossroad. Says loading hands free, downloaded Uconnect update off website to usb stick, and it says file not supported. Did all the button resets too. Plz help.
Any suggestions for a 2018 Pacifica where the touch screen is unresponsive to touch? There are changes to the screen if I change the radio station or someone is calling but I cannot answer the call from the screen for example.

Have tried every suggestion made and so far NOTHING. Radio reverts back to what it was, like it was frozen. Even with a negative battery disconnect, it did not work. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. 2018 RAM LIMITED.

Hi i have issue with my charger 2019 there is no radio sound, Bluetooth or USB work just fine, if I'll pull out radio fuse to restart it, radio screen menue go to blue and I can listen to Radio but as soon as I'll turn of the ignition and turn on again menue colors go to read and there is no sound no meter how much wolumen I'll turn.

My issue is that after a little while of operation the Uconnect system will just go crazy. A couple of days ago it was switching from one song to another and switching between options and this morning it was fixated on resetting the clock and I couldn't access any controls. I mean, it was literally like an insane child, it was fixated on that one thing and wouldn't do anything else. Do you have a fix for that?
I have that same issue with my 2017 Challenger, it's like a ghost is randomly touching my screen. It's so annoying that I usually turn the radio off.

You will have to go to your local dealership to have that done. They will have to add the option and only a dealership has access to do that. (As far as I know)

It may, but to me it sounds like an issue with the screen. I would take it to your dealer. It will all be warranty covered.

Any idea on 2013 journey? 8.4 uconnect. Ive tried hot/cold climate for 10 secs. Tried hot/cold and both window defrost buttons. Tried mute/tuning knob like pacifica video. Nothing works. Just want to reset. Bluetooth wont connect. Just says loading hands free and does nothing.

Anybody help me????? My 2018 8.4 u connect radio when paired in bluetooth mode will go absolutely ape shit it will switch screens like a fuckn strobe light! It will turn on the heat seat functions. The only way I can get it to stop is if I completely unpair from the radio and let the truck set overnight off. POS
Mine does the same. It goes from radio to clock reset yes or no. Then back again nothing stops it. I’m thinking of resetting.
