Connie was always so fabulous. No matter which movie she played in or whichever song she sang, it would always be flawless!

Very underrated movie and Connie looks beautiful in it. And of course that great voice

I think that she had a natural comedic flair - the movies were kind of silly perhaps but Connie was always cute in them ~

Obviously Paul was the crucial element in this situation.

Excellent--she was very modest about her acting ability, but she was really quite a natural, hampered by poor roles and feeble story-lines. Her voice was never anything but brilliant.

Francis was born about ten years too late . She would have fared better in the old studio system of musicals . She at this time in the early 1960s was placed in female ensemble movies with non singing but taller actresses , even with fellow Italian Paula Prentiss . She basically portrayed as being the plain jane in several movies . In studio system she would been the star , the pretty one and the singer . She also would have been surrounded by shorter actors to hide her stature . Think of a Judy Garland , Jane Powell or even Lana turner .
