But you cannot poke the driver through the hole of the seat, from the backseats.
That is a minus.
You can do that in the bmw…it literally has profiles.
For those who have never driven a Tesla. You adjust the steering wheel, seat and door mirrors to you liking and then save this under your driver profile which is linked to your mobile phone. Anyone else driving the car will do the same in under their profile (which will also be linked to their mobile phone).
Then when each driver getting into the car everything will change back to their preference. Not only will the start& mirrors adjust but even the temperature and position of the heater vents. Therefore you don't need to keep using the screen to adjust anything.
Unlike the BMW where you'd have to use that manual lever on rhe steering wheel each time different drivers use the car.
I find I shrink during long road trips so I end up adjusting as I go. Spinal compression. Im old

Have a 2023 Model Y (with stalks!) and I like it. Two things which would make the car near prefect for me: 1. head-up display, 2. sun-roof retractable cover

I've grown used to the Tesla minimalism, it makes the iX2 look kind of silly. The price and efficiency make the Model Y the winner for me.
Minimalism? I call it cheapness. I have an S and a 3. After 6 years of owning the 3, (and I’ve 12 years in my Model S) I still hate the single screen nonsense of the 3,that Tesla gaslights us is ‘minimalistic’. Driving the S with a screen in front of me feels so much better. Honest opinion.

I don't understand why the center console sticks into the backseat like that on the BMW. Otherwise I like it.
There is a lot more added to the Tesla like wrapped b-pillars, the covers for the holes left and right in the trunk are added
, the seat covers make it difficult to find the easy-fix. I use a roof cover in my Tesla. The owner of the Tesla bought a lot of accessories I noticed. I did too 😊
Very nice review, In denmark the BMW ix2 with glasroof and the package shown is about 570.000dkk the tesla performance is 429.000 dkk (long range is 390.000dkk). So the BMW is 25% higher price (31% more then long range which properly a better comparison)

@@SamiHentunen to be honest, as an ix1 30driver, more power is really not useful. Cabin space upgrade for model y? Ix2 is simply smaller. Frunk is available in Aftermarket, for those who really need it. There is plenty of space.

How about heatpump lifetime? In my model Y performance have had four heatpump breaking. Under 37500km and 15months.

In terms of size and space, its only logical the Tesla would win as the segmentation competitor of the Model Y would be the iX3 or the coupe version of it which would be the electric version of the X4 called the iX4 which is not out yet as an EV. But yes in terms of MSRP they are on a level, Tesla is really pushing out a bang for your buck.

Do not use seat covers on Model Y. Doing so could restrict deployment of the seat-mounted side airbags if a collision occurs. It can also reduce the accuracy of the Occupant Classification System (OCS), if equipped.

I don't even have a Tesla yet, but its my number one, the beamer has to much shit that can fail and needs to be costly repaired out of my pocked after warranty. So to answer your question, the Tesla is the number one and the BMW is something for rich people.

Thats an easy one. The Tesla MYP is faster, more power, more efficient and has loads of space. Better entertainment and the SUC-Network. In addition to that the X2 is 30-40% more expensive.

The build quality on the Teslas is terrible, compared to a well specced BMW. We had a rental dual engine Y and one external panel had a huge gap, same for some internal furniture. And the feel of the fake leather seats and steering wheel is terrible. But it drives well, you get used to the screen, and the hi-fi was very good.

There was a time when I admired BMWs… Seems Aeons away. Fuö& that Rabbit..
Tesla is such a mix of nice and incredibly cheap design decisions. Also after having traveled in a Modle Y in bight sun, that glass roof can make you hot without a built in cover.
But the price man... the price.
The Tesla is screaming for a refresh. If it ends up with the same improvements the Model 3 got, it will be a proper car again.
