Sharp looks very good for its age and love the push button start and high performance muffler my cousin had a 1978 model new in 1978 my brother also had a 1975 model really love how these bikes ran and rode.
I have the same one. Muffler is way different, and broken because the bolts that held the heat guard on broke,. It is in rough shape with a 7500 miles on it, in the front and back fender need painted bad. Paid $1000 for it. Only bought one with such little cc so I can register it when I turned 16. Such a nice bike. Mine definitely isn’t electric start though. I’m surprised they made them that way back then
I’ve got a Lifan 200cc swapped into my ‘77 XL125. Is the exhaust on this bike the original XL exhaust or did it come from another bike like a CG? My understanding is the flange is different than the XL. Thanks in advance 🤘

@@McFixStuff thanks for all your help. Also, how do I safely remove the petcock from the gas tank? I don't see any bolts etc to remove it from the tank, it's as if it's locked from within the tank.
@@internetsurfer3000 You should buy a shop manual. There's reprints of the originals out there and some are spiral bound so you can lay them flat. I got one for my 1981 XL125. Like this: www.repairmanual.com/product/1974-1977-honda-xl125-1977-ct125-factory-service-manual-6136506/ I don't like Haynes or Clymer manuals because they're just general info but they're not bad
considering I had all the original documentation, including warranty papers, and the original bill of sell, and all the misc stuff the dealer gave the original owner at the time of purchase, and I was only the second owner, and I had the original engine with a brand new engine, I was looking to get $4000, no less than $3500. I wasn't trying to sell it, I was just seeing if I could get what I wanted for it. Probably a realistic number to sell it for would have been $3000 and let someone talk me down to $2500.

I know this is a little late but wow that’s in great condition!

Amigo espero que estés bien .. me gustaría saber cómo pusiste el motor de arranque para que prendiera así con starte ... saludos desde colombia 🇨🇴
what is the length of the rear shock in millimeter?
Will that same exhaust fit my 81 xl125. It should I'm thinking. Any idea where to score that exhaust or similar bolt up? Cheers man.
And is that original motor? It had electric start?
how much did it sell for? looks awesome
Beautiful Restauration! What exhaust did you use in your xl?
EMGO shorty megaphone with a Hooker head
Is that just a slip on cone muffler over the original pipe?
Not even the original pipe. The original owner swapped a hooker pipe on it in 76, and the internals went to shit, so I cut it at the weld, and put a slip on
Hello, I've the same year/model. Is there a way to drain the old gas without siphoning? Thank you
Just disconnected the gas line from the petcock, and let it empty, or take off the seat then the tank can come off, and dump it out
McFixStuff2 thank you and where do I drain the oil from?
@@internetsurfer3000 there's a bolt at the bottom of the engine. Like with most vehicles.

No tiene el motor original. Esto es un motor CHINO
Is it hard to start it?
What is this engine model you put on the bike?
Lifan 200cc. Didn't want to put miles on original motor
What would your price have been? I just got one too just wondering how much I should have spent!

Wowwww🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭👍🏾
Hate me because of this bike,

Lifan
