I'm 59 and Don't have any tattoos. Many people do still view it as something lower class people do. If u try to tell a younger person that it's unnecessary and can work against u in certain situations they will just say it's my body...I know a doctor covered with tattoos...I think it's a foolish thing to do. But it's a free country...

I'm 46 years old and really never took style etc any mind except functional (Chicago weather) or work appropriate (suits at one point), but 2023 was my worst year ever and I felt the desire to look better and navigating this stuff was daunting. Your videos helped tremendously. I'm already in great shape (thank you Jiu Jitsu) but the upgrades in wardrobe have definitely made me feel better and taken my first impressions to the next level. Thank you and stay motivated!

Made it to the end! Your channel has helped me so much. I got divorced back at the end of 2020. I am currently 45 years old, and felt I needed to change my life somehow. I've always been a nerdy type guy. I basically wore graphic t shirts and jeans or cargo shorts for many years. After the divorce, I found your channel and started buying nicer clothes for myself. I'm in a much better place now, and you inspired me to look better! I've gotten lots of compliments on how I dress, and that makes me feel good. So, thanks for doing what you do!

I'd like to hear a follow-up on your TRT experience. How have the last 4-5 months been on it? Talk about the any changes to your mental state / motivation / libido/ emotions etc. As well as any physical changes that you've experienced thus far. Lastly, are there any unexpected side-effects that you've experienced or aspects that have been challenging?

I did make it to the end and I think you should get a sleeve tattoo if you find one that really fits you. Personally you don't come across on your channel as a guy who would, but i do get hints here and there you're probably more mischievous than you let on. After all you were both in a band, and a race car driver. Don't go by our votes though.

Hey, love the content and have totally revamped my whole wardrobe based on your principles one thing I found the other day after just getting back into golf is…… Golf Trouser the main thing most modern golf trousers have is silicone grips on the sides of the Trousers, like nonslip socks 😮, stops your shirt pulling out I wish more companies would adopt it into normal trousers

I’m sleeved up (tats). It fits me. Ex rocker/ex punk rock, former professional musician. For you? I would go sparse classy tats. Look up male models for plenty of examples. Get more, just not convinced a sleeve works on you.
Re getting married. Dude… there are plenty of “pros” for staying single. 😂 I know this will make me sound like a douche, but I had an absolute BLAST being single after my 20 marriage ended. GOOD GOD the amazing women I’ve spent time with. My best buddy is in that phase right now and loving life! 😂🙌🏾

Trying to answer the "what would you do if you were independently wealthy" question clearly struck a chord. And I agree, the desire to do good for other people, to give back, to help, is something that defies good explanation. It just comes from within. It is so rewarding to do even the smallest thing for someone and see them react. I've gotten into things like mentoring, business coaching, all for free, and it's what makes my life complete.

I’m same age as you John and re-booted my gym workouts too. I love going and love the feeling. I go around 4-5 times per week.
I required HRT due to being emasculated (mental health) by my ex. It came as a surprise that I had osteoporosis, since I lifted heavy and took a lot of calcium and Vitamin D. What I didn't realize was that T was required, also. After a few years of the therapy, my bones are better than average, and my moods have evened out. HRT is only meant to bring levels up to normal, not to make someone a superman.

A color combo I have wore recently and have gotten compliments is light blue collars and co polo under navy blue v-neck with my honey suede Chelsea boots from Thursday’s with dark jeans. As always thanks for all you do!

I'd say that they do pay attention to your nails. Since they themselves put so much time and effort into theirs. But like you said, if you simply keep them trimmed and clean you're good to go.

Love your channel, John! I’m a 53 year recent old widower. I felt I was sinking from the loss, so I decided I needed to get moving on with life. Pickleball did it for me. Probably something to do with endorphins and dopamine from playing sports, was my blessing. For that reason I highly recommend pickleball. Let me know if you’re ever in Corona, there’s a court by my place we can play as beginners.

Yes, take care of feet. In my mind, it's a little thing, but a detail. Guys aren't always so detailed, but I do like to see good health. No need for pedicure, just take care of the nails. Plus, as a nurse, it's important to maintain good foot health.

John, thanks for your personal stories. With regards to the question on applying the color wheel, let me provide a practical application. I’ve bought some clothes based on your recommendations. For example, I might go into the Express store to try on some pants to get the correct size. If I like the color, I might buy the pants. If not, I’ll jot down the style and order the color I want online.
The challenge to me comes in matching the shirt. If I buy the pants in the store I can look for the matching shirt. But if I’m buying the pants online, then I end up buying the shirts later. I’m finding that I might think that the shirt would go with one color of pants but when I have both hand-in-hand, they don’t quite match up.
What I’m finding works for me is that there are only a few color pants that I like (black, blue, brown, tan, gray). I look for shirts that match one or two of those pants. How do you go about buying and matching your clothes?

Jay Leno and I are the same age, so you already know that I'm really young! Had a Dr of Urology put me on TRT about 3 years ago so I would stay young! How did I become a "car guy?" My ex wife made the snide remark that my car wasn't sporty enough! Ok, dumped for a 300Z. Then 6 Corvettes. BMW M4 ...M5. Such remarks can be used for fuel...During 69 thru 71, was fortunate enough to work on the fastest fighter jets in the world. The proper question in LIFE is always, what's NEXT. While enjoying and valuing ourselves. AND others. Daily. Like YOU DO. THANKS!!

Great video on the Q&A. I'm definitely all ears on listening to anything you have to discuss regarding the dieting/supplements/exercising regiment as well as self-improvement. I lost about 25lbs last year, but I've been knocked off course since roughly the holidays. I'm hoping to start getting back into the groove of things after the super bowl. Also, I recently ordered the Tiege Hanley level 1 kit and I've been starting to use it. Keep up the great work and hopefully I will be back into the groove of things again.

If you do decide to buy some luxury clothing, I have some recommendations, in my order of opinion for each type (mostly bespoke and mostly English).
For braces (commonly known as suspenders and not bespoke): Suspenders In Stock.
For hosiery (not bespoke): Kirby Allison (somewhere in Texas) and Gentlemen’s Gazette (near Minneapolis, Minnesota). Their products can be ordered online.
For shirts: Emma Willis, Budd Shirts and Wil Whiting.
For shoes: Nicholas Templeman, John Lobb London (also for all other leather goods) and Gaziano & Girling.

John, have you ever thought about physically relocating to a place that is less expensive to live? Or, is your proximity to wineries too important to you?
It’s not so much the wineries, but the climate. I didn’t grow up in a sunny climate, so living here has been a complete game changer for my mood. The people here are also very cool.
Forgot you were from the Seattle area. The weather in the Pacific Northwest is pretty miserable, and also expensive.
I try to appear jacked from the gym, and not have my nails all jacked up.
