What I liked most about this video is the enthusiasm. The kid in a sweet shop look on your face. In an age where phones are much of a muchness and year on year minute upgrades it's good to see genuine excitement for a phone. Great video.
I bought this because it's the only Snapdragon 8 Elite Phone with a Stock-Android option. And of course, the amazing haptics and speakers are also great.
You really shot your load over this one! Fair play, it sounds like a fantastic phone, I do feel like the foldables you usually cover are just a little bit more exciting because of the extra screen real estate they offer.
Damn, seeing your excitement almost makes me want to buy it myself.😅 Great video, great to see that someone who has almost had every phone released in his hands this year can still get so excited about a phone.
Love how exited You sound. Make the review so Much better. Wish there was a longer version if im honest 😂 just subbed. If You make a longer video - Can You test the Sound with the subwoofer in the cooler :). Thanks
There is more, despite the fact that it has 3.5 jack, this phone is rated ip68 dust and water resistant, so yeah they lied when they say theu removed it to protect the phones
In value I think you get more with the redmagic. I suggest try that out if you can. I had a rog phone before, and agree that its a premium device. Having the redmagic 9 pro is a better value. The only sacrifice is the lack of software update. But the price is a lot cheaper.
Love how no one wants to spoil the AR box game and explain it. Having a hard time with choosing in between a redmagic 9s pro or Rog 9 Pro but really want the rog 9 for moral reasons.and I'm not a huge mobile gamer.. Was hoping it would drop a bit more for Black Friday in price. Good video
Haha I had the same question, this video is good but I would recommend you watch some comparison videos too. I did a lot of research and time judged when I finally chose the redmagic 9 pro over Asus ROG phone 8. If I had to choose again, I would choose redmagic 10 over the phone 9. Better battery, better display, over all, Asus was a good brand, until they went for full fledged money sucking. I got the same performance of the rog phone 8 for half the price with the redmagic 9 and I will gladly do it again. If Asus brought the price down, then we could talk but for now I would recommend the redmagic
whats the difference between this and the asus rog phone 9 pro ? i want the rear screen but not the cooler thing that clips on . Also i dont mind less ram. Your help would be appreciated Av Dad. The diff in price between the edition and the 9 pro is a fair bit. Sell me the review unit - im down .
ROG phones usually have 6000 batteries. I've had once since the 2. Excellent phones. Maybe you should examine the redmagic and black shark phones. If you haven't. BTW the audio has DTS which is the only phone I've used with it.
I would be super skeptical about those battery claims. Before I bought my OP12 (only 1.5 months ago) I saw 2-3 reviewers gushing about how it was a 2 day phone... It's not... I suspect your experience with the ROG will be similar. If you actually push it with games for a couple hours, then spend the rest of the time on social media and RUclips, I suspect you'll be ending the day on like 35-40% (assuming a 7-8 hour SoT). Once you factor in the standby drain overnight that becomes 30-35% instead. I'll defo be checking out what reviewers and tests say on this battery, maybe I'm wrong
Yes. I already told you about review Asus ROG 9 Phone if u are gaming smartphone lovers, and guess what, my request is right, you grab it. That Asus ROG 9 Phone is very cool smartphone with lots of feature with AI gaming for those who familiar playing like Genshin Impact, Mobile PUBG etc. Thank you for that review. Hope Average Dad review about Huawei Mate 70 Series and Huawei Mate X6 if already grab that two phone.
What is the Android update policy? If it is not very good, I would buy a Samsung or Google phone. Seriously, nowadays, the software is more important than the hardware. Anyway, it is a sick phone!
Android versions are basically the same nowadays. 1 or 2 super tiny new features, animations might get a slight bump, but I don't see why people care so much about updates. If the phone is good out of the box I wouldn't mind if it had 0 android updates
@@Rizwaan122you’re saving companies money with no updates, means they don’t have to pay the license for the updates. I’m not in the business of saving companies money.
Just saw the display brightness values on gsmarena's tests and... That can't be right can it? If the numbers are right it's like 20% brighter than an s24 ultra. Clocks in just marginally below the vivo x200 pro. Certainly didn't expect that!
@MemenReviews peak brightness is a useless stat. I'm talking about GSMarena's tests of brightness with manual slider and auto-brightness. Peak brightness is just what can be achieved specifically in about 10 pixels in hdr content when in direct sunlight
@@Rizwaan122 So this is the stat for the asus phone 9: 936 nits of brightness on the slider with an incredibly impressive max auto figure of 1958 nits. And this is redmagic 9 pro: 611 nits in manual mode, while in auto mode, the panel peaked at 1,058 nits wow yeah thats deff a lot brighter...one of the brightest on the market, more than the s24 ultra. I think currently the brightest one is google pixel 9 (so many 9s XD)
owned ROG2, never gonna buy ROG phones again, IT DIED for no reason, apparently the snapdragon chip in the phone died after i tried getting it fixed by a technician. The technician mentioned that it's a common issue for ROG2 phones. NEVER again.

The fan is also a subwoofer, the sound is much better with the fan active on the back.

@MemenReviews I thought the dog had a better screen. Yea they both are ideal but the security updates for 1 year only is what is killing me
If you're not a huge gamer it's pointless to get something like this.
I would buy the review unit from you at this price let me know if your selling it mate @AverageDadOfficial

The 9 Pro Edition comes with the Aeroactive Cooler X Pro with Subwoofer. The regular 9 and 9 Pro do not come with a cooler.
