  • I loved competing in London and especially at Crystal Palace. The british public would turn out in their thousands to support all the athletes that attended.
    Man I miss those days!

    I remember I was at this with my parents. You threw your Adidas sweatband in to the crowd from your wrist and it landed in my hands! I would have been 14 years old.
    All the best Dwain, great career.

    Please do more of these re-cap videos. I spend hours watching videos from 2000's - 2010 era. Really interesting to hear what your thought process was at the time!

    How do you breathe while sprinting or stay relax?

    • @DwainChambers
      @DwainChambers  3 года назад +2

      The art of relaxation starts from within.
      Whenever you walk, skip, jog, run, jump or climb the key is to not think about the action you are performing.
      The time is takes to think about moving your arms back and forth or lifting your leg to climb is a voluntary response (you've thought about it and made a conscious decision to perform that action)
      Relaxation is an involuntary action and is further improved with your coach giving you one instruction to focus on. If your coach gives you more than 1 instruction per session, any ability to practice relaxation is compromised as you now have to think about to many things.

    I remember watching this race and thinking it was a work record because the clock read 9:69... They said the clocks were faulty due to all the false starts but I wonder what the real time was... Anyone know?

    Just purely out of interest, I know there was no clock for this race, but do you think your winning time was close to a PB? was quite a competitive race after all
