I am going to make one for my mom. She lost her son(my brother) so I hope she likes it. If I remember I will add her reaction too! Edit: Sorry it took long kinda forgot but she ended up loving it and put it on the Christmas tree right away

thank you so much for sharing your video and pattern : ) I have loss 4 siblings in 4 years. In May 2022 we loss our 7yr old dog Samson to bone cancer he was a Great Pyrenees. I made a drawing of him with wings and a red heart I'm going to try to make in clay

I made several last year for Christmas gift tags and ornaments. Everyone who recieved 1 absolutely loved it. After drying completely, I used colored chalks to color. They were beautiful. I was surprised at how easy they were to make. I made my own clay too with white glue and cornstarch. 😊 I was trying to find a way to post pics of the ones I made, but can't find anyway to do it :(

Mod Podge has a waterproof sealer out now. I haven't tried it but from what I've seen online, it seems to really be waterproof.

I am so glad that I found you on here, I love everything you make, it is superb. I've been watching people using oven baking clay, but air-dry clay is much more fun. I'll definitely be making these for friends and family for Christmas decorations, plus a pal has recently been through breast cancer, so the angel wings will be perfect to send her as a small gift. Thanks, loop and tie a bow with a shorts piece and then attach this the the ribbon that is looped through the clay

Do you know Sarah watching the other videos (waterproofing etc) I honestly thought that you must have used a silicone mould to make this piece. I never imagined that it had been created from scratch. less than a quarter, any ribbon is good, I use anything from quarter inch to an inch depending on the look you are after

So you don't seal with Mod Podge or anything before painting, like you did the pots?
You can do, with gesso or acrylic primer, but here I didn’t no, I often do a couple of base coats of white acrylic paint then add a good final sealer over the top. I added varnish to this one to make it suitable to go outside in my waterproof video.
Do you write freehand with the sharpe It looks so perfect

Here's a tip from me: make sure that your wings' feathers aren't too small. I made mine twice as small and it's taking forever to put on :(
Sure it will look great though, small or large work well, but yes depends how long you would like the project to take 😊

Can you make this with your diy air dry clay?
I prefer it with regular air dry clay as the consistency is easier to smooth and attach together

Can u tell the price of verathine (polyurethane)?
Varies but I can get a small tin for around £4
I can't seem to see on the tin if my Ronseal is oil or water based 🤔
Without seeing the tin, if it asks you to wash your brushes in water it is water based if it asks you to wash in white spirits or similar it will be oil based. Varathane can be water based but apparently still works, but mine is oil based ❤️
