    I didn't use Follow and Relay enough in PCM 2022, so an interesting thing I saw was: When I still have my team together, after the water duties are done, he would slot in the second spot, behind the person on Infinite Relat.

    I'm also wondering what PCM 2023 considers a Medium Mountain and a Mountain? I'm assuming the Hill stat is for uncategorized climbs but is Medium Mountain cat 3 & 2 and Mountain is 1 & HC? I don't know. Also, how did you zoom in on the profile, and is it possible to see what kilometre you're at in the race instead of having to do the math based on how far away the next climb/sprints are? And is there a way to keep your rider out of the wind? sometimes my rider is on the left side of road when i want him in the middle of the pack.....thanks again for all the content

      The 3 Climbing ratings are used anytime you're above a 3% gradient. Mtn/MM/Hills are used based on effort. 85 and below effort you're using Mtn. Hills is 95 plus. MM is new this year, the assumption is 90 with a combination/average if you're in between. I haven't tested it yet to confirm, but some believe MM is fully at 88. Therefore if you're riding a 92, you're roughly riding an even mix of your MM and Hills rating.

    Great work 👍
    What is the difference between the effort and relay buttons?

    • @DecathlonGamer
      @DecathlonGamer  6 месяцев назад +1

      Relay tasks the rider with riding at the front of the group to set tempo. Effort means to ride at that literal effort percentage regardless of other's actions.

  • @The_Crazy_Engineer

    Amazing work, mate! Only one doubt: If I put a rider behind a mate save energy too like doing a protection or not? I usually climb with my best climber and a protection and the second best climber following behind to the best one. For me is easier to control. For example: Protection to Vinegard < Kuss

    • @DecathlonGamer
      @DecathlonGamer  7 месяцев назад +2

      Follow saves energy, though less than protection. However, unlike protection, follow can be used repeatedly and it stacks. So the further down the line a rider is the less energy they burn. In general, you want to protect, the group as a whole will last longer. But if you're going to push tempo - final climb or want to destroy the peleton - a train can do some rapid damage to others while limiting the damage to your tail end riders.

      @@DecathlonGamer Perfect explanation. Thanks so much! Last one: If you have two cyclists left on the last climb, for example Vingegaard and Kuss: Is it better to climb with Vingo at a certain effort and protect with Kus or make a train Kus < Vingo?

    • @DecathlonGamer
      @DecathlonGamer  7 месяцев назад +1

      Protect is stronger when you're down to the last two. You need the stacking effect for it to help. However, if you're close to the line you want the lead-out so follow.

    • @DecathlonGamer

      Shift and click will select a range. Control and click and you can select/deselect one at a time. Zero key to quick select all.

    I appreciate you doing this video but i don't have 43mins to watch it all - i was hoping you could answer two questions: 1. the 3 vertical bars to the right of the water bottle - what does this indicate? 2. When you "Protect" a rider, a shield comes up on the protecting and protected riders, but sometimes the shield is green, orange, or red - what do the different colors indicate? Thank you for your time

    • @DecathlonGamer
      @DecathlonGamer  9 месяцев назад +1

      The 3 vertical bars is rider's position in peleton, front-middle-rear. The colors indicate pairings, so the two greens are riders paired together, etc.

    Hi @Decathlon Gamer: First of all thanks for your tutorial, it helped a lot.
    I got one question: whats the difference between protectinga driver and let the driver ride behind a teammate?
    e.g. i protect driver A with driver B or i let driver A ride behind driver B?
    is there any difference, as for instance more wind protection or sth like that?

    • @DecathlonGamer
      @DecathlonGamer  Год назад

      Protect will use more energy from driver B to conserve more for driver A. With follow the protection is minimal, though the longer the line the better the protection bonus gets as you go down the line. In general protect does more to conserve energy for your leader than follow will unless you've got the whole team in front of them.

    Im at the giro di italia right now. But it seems the overal energy of the riders is depleting way to fast. Any tips?

    • @charlesleeray1784
      @charlesleeray1784 Год назад +1

      AI waste a lot of energy on automatic mode. You don't always have to be at the front for the whole race. A good way to preserve your stamina is to limit your effort (even if the number blinks) while using the maintain position option. You will drop places but you can get back when the pace slows down. You just have to be at the front during important moments and at the end of the race. Also, always protect your leaders.
      Gone are the days when your leader can try to win every stage in a grand tour. If you're a sprint team, there is no point in trying to hold into the peloton during mountain stages. Sprint stages are the recovery stages for a GC team. Energy preservation is vital now, so is the recovery stat. Makes the game so much more realistic.

    • @DecathlonGamer
      @DecathlonGamer  Год назад

      There's a learning curve to the game. It'll get far easier once you figure things out. Protect your leaders, that's the biggest thing that will help.

      Have you seen me play? I'm not very good at TDF. I don't feel confident doing tutorials on that game yet. Maybe in a few more weeks I can feel confident to a basics tutorial. Reset the tutorial and run it again if you're having a hard time with the basics though, that should help.

    Game is litterally unplayable imo. I've been decent at PCM games since 2013, but I have yet to win my first stage. Playing as TJV, my Vingegaard in excellent form gets dropped by random puncheurs on Tourmalet. This game is so broken and I can't get it refunded. I'm fuming.
