- Nice scenic flight from Airfield Albstadt-Degerfeld to the castle of Hohenzollern (10:35) and back. Whole flight takeoff and landing from the cockpit.

Not many people know this - That big fan in front is actually only used to keep the passengers cool.. The small prop in the cockpit is the thing that makes all that racket and maintains the thrust. The Russians really know how to design a fun airplane.
Got to love the Annie. AN2 is a respectable aircraft gracing the skies for over 75 years. Well engineered, simple, sturdy, strong albeit a bit slow it has given reliable service all this time, all over the world. A true legend!
Glad I found this! Beautiful aircraft over stunning countryside. Would love to be able to fly an AN2 someday.
Surprinsingly low vibrations, and the engine sound is ...pleasant to me.

Amazingly the Chico (California) Air Museum has one of these at the airport. It is not flying, just sitting outside. It is complete; but the canvas needs work. Really big, in Aeroflot colors.
