I've aldeady read a few times until 7:00am, because I just couldn't stop reading and my body also never told me it was tired... so yeah... who needs sleep... I don't want to stop reading, but I'm also basically torturing myself with sleep deprivation... I hate myself sometimes xD
I'm so glad I have a friend who reads fanfiction (I have more than one but this friend is the one I talk to the most about ffs and she's my beta reader as well) because I'd actually die if I couldn't talk about ffs with anyone
I'm using this comment section as my venting hole- I found this one slowburn PKM Piers x reader fanfic and I WAS SUPER HYPED. But then as I read it, I FOUND THAT THE SLOWBURN IS A LIE! But also not really? Like, it did take forever, but that was because most of the writing that leads towards their meeting was a bunch of fluff about unnecessary details! (Food, how (Y/N) gets ready for each morning, describing unrelated pains or scenery) Towards the middle, the author made (Y/N) more embarrassing and a do-gooder that is always right who gets herself hurt for no reasons... But then the two characters meet!! And then Piers admits feelings for (Y/N) mentally by the 3rd chapter? And also says Marnie (Piers' sister) views her as family after knowing her for one chapter???!!! It wasn't a slowburn! It was vocab vomit for the sake of inflating word count! The writing was okay, but I only ended up reading another of their fanfictions by accident and could notice only because THEY COPY AND PASTED THE PIERS ONE AND JUST REPLACED HIS NAME WITH ANOTHER PKM CHARACTER???? I did my best to compare them side by side and got until chapter 50 where the chapter was finally different just because it was a chapter dedicated to (Y/N) and Piers/Leon getting to know eachother more.
For people worried that they will have to give up fanfiction whenever they get with the person they are meant to be with, fanfiction was literally how I met my future spouse. I was talking about fanfic and she over head. That is how we met and from that day forward, we would cuddle and both read fanfic together.
