I think what sets John Wick 4 apart from the other "Fourquels" is that, to me, the series is actually a Trilogy, beggining with chapter 2 and with the first one being more like a pitch or a pilot for the true series to come. The second chapter could easily be refited to be the first movie with just a few tweeks and the other movies are escalations of the consequences from this film, not the first.
That’s how I saw the first one. It was a showcase of the world, the characters, and it’s rules, but the actual long term plot truly started in the second one.
Or that he has become a legendary Househusband dedicated to a new life... Keep him out of the underworld and fully committed to enjoying retirement... I agree. 1 and 2 feel like one story, and feel more intimate in scale. While 3 and 4 are the second story borne out of the events of the first one, and are more grand and outward facing in scale.
What i loved about Caine’s character is in the kitchen scene he looks like he’s incapacitating his enemies with his cane instead of killing cuz he’s there by force not cuz he wants to

It’s so weird to say “I don’t want a John Wick 5”, because I just LOVE the saga But that’s why I don’t want an other sequel: I don’t want them to ruin it, and John deserves peace after all he’s gone through.
As much as I liked Mr. Nobody he’s the only one I thought could’ve been more fleshed out. It makes me wonder if he’s gonna appear in The Ballerina since it’s said to take place between 3 and 4. I want to know what exactly brought him into the fold.
If u analyse the movie you’ll realise that he’s after John because he wants retirement, he wants to buy a 48.3 million pound villa and settle down with his dog. If ur asking where I found that in the movie, it’s where he looks through his book in Osaka Continental. There’s a page with the house and it’s price.
I’m just really glad that this franchise right now is showing that great choreography, a simple story, and cool characters are what people want to see more of, rather than cgi fests, and quippy comedy. In the future, I hope there’s more franchises like John Wick made. I never thought that we’d get something on a mainstream level in the same vein as The Raid and other classics doing so well. Really hoped a company as big as Marvel would’ve done things like this with a character like Shang-chi. But, leave it to Wick to amaze us more. Love to see it. Seriously. EDIT: I also really hope this is where they end it. Just continue with your spin-offs, fleshing out this world that people want more of. But let John’s story end on a high, satisfying note please. Hollywoods gonna Hollywood, and would Rob a grave for money, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it continues with another director or something. But if it stops here, it’ll be one of the greatest action sagas ever.
They intended to make part 5 from from the beginning, and wanted to shoot 4 and 5 back to back. While the ending is a logical end to his story, the build up to it was a little underwhelming, and maybe could be done better. So I'm hoping for sequel

A beautiful review. I do, however, disagree with your assessment of Chapter 2. The scene where John surprises Gianna D’Antonio in her opulent dressing room/bath is visually lush, and feels deeply intimate. I love the moment when he walks around the tub to comfortingly hold her hand before she slowly slips away. It melted my heart. Especially because the audience got to see what a b_tch she could be when she spoke to Mr. Arkoni. I believe John knew that side of her yet offered his compassion to her in her final moments. I believe John is always aware of his own imperfections, especially because he is constantly reliving his memories of Helen as often as he can. Those memories are his happy place. Gianna evoked the name of Helen, and questioned whether or not Helen would still love John is she knew of his assassin persona. Just my two cents. Subscribed.
This is the most perfect john Wick Movie, and Keanu Reeves Magnum Opus in the Action film Genre. The actions scenes are the greatest in the entire franchise and eclipse nearly everything we've seen Keanu do in the Matrix Movies. Donnie Yen and Hiroyuki Sanada's Duel was the most emotional moment in the film for me and I cant wait to see what Chad Stalhelski does with the Ghost of Tsushima movie. My favorite character in this film was Mr. NOBODY due to how he compared to Caine and John wick on a thematic Level in this world of assassins. This was the most Beautiful film in the series with the music, the Score, and the way they blend this opulent sense of Grand Beauty and color into each film.
Kinda agree, only part that made if from perfect was him getting hit by a car like a million times and falling down 200 flights of stairs. Getting up like it was nothing 😂

This line summed how he related to John and Caine in this world. John,Caine and Mr NOBODY each had an individual desire to leave this life behind them but couldn't. John was pulled back into the world after the death of his wife,Caine is what John wick couldve been if he accepted The High table's Faustian Offer and turned into the High Table's personal Assassin and lose his soul over time. Mr NOBODY was a Younger,Hungrier, and Motivated tracker who just wanted to pull off one last Job big enough to leave the life forever but as soon as he made himself available to High table they would've found a way to keep him working for them forever and that's what Caine Warned him about when he said not to take the deal.

It's insane that possibly the best action series in a long while has also top tier lighting, camerawork and design as well as subtle acting, lots of show don't tell, doesn't treat its audience like idiots and manages to top itself with every installment. All the while being headed by stuntmen.
Never seen a thumbnail spit facts as much as this has. All around one of the best films I've seen in the action genre with how well it integrates the action with the narrative. And every flaw I do have with JW 4 are basically small nitpicks. It makes really hyped for M:I 7 & to see how ppl can top this.
i cant believe the soundtrack didnt get a callout in this video! ch4 (really all of them) had some absolutely stunning tunes that got the adrenalin pumping or set the mood perfectly.
I think one of the reasons why the series is good at 4 is chapters 2 to 4 feel like a 3 act story that kept elevating. While the first was a perfect self-contained story
Regarding the visuals: the camerawork is pretty slick as well, and I'm not just talking about a lack of shaky cam. Like, there's a scene where John, driving a car, does an extended circular drift around a cluster of baddies, shooting them down the whole time. That's a cool idea in itself, but when it happens, the camera also swings around the bad guys on the opposite side as John, keeping his car in frame so well it's practically not moving at all. And the shot lasts nearly ten whole seconds! I was giggling like a loon the whole time. And then there's the top-down shotgun sequence, which... Wow.
Not to mention the spectacular music in the shotgun scene and the club scene had some of the best music I've ever heard, they combined it perfectly with the fighting.
I love the theater, I remember so many people I knew and online saying they hate the theater and “why not watch movies at home?” Like sure ya, but there’s just such a different feeling when watching big movies like this with so many other people who you don’t know, but you know you’re all there for a good time
When I heard there would be a Chaptet 5, I wasn't expecting John to die in Chapter 4 I was really expecting him to fake his death or something Now I don't know what to expect from Chapter 5
When Chapter 5 was originally announced, it was going to be filmed back-to-back with Chapter 4 but the plans for Chapter 5 were scrapped during the Covid Pandemic, resulting in the version of Chapter 4 that we got. Stahelski's recent interviews paint a pretty clear picture that John Wick Chapter 5 doesn't really exist anymore with the head of Lionsgate's comments about Chapter 5 being "back on the table" reinforcing the notion that at some point between Chapter 4 & 5's initial announcement and the release of Chapter 4, that Chapter 5 was indeed scrapped entirely. The only way to do a John Wick Chapter 5 is to reveal that he faked his death at the end of Chapter 4, or to make it a prequel (at which point it wouldn't take place after Chapter 4, and thus wouldn't really be Chapter 5). It's much more likely, imo, that the IP will try to move on from the character of John Wick and live on in the Ballerina and Continental spin-offs (with Keanu only making subsequent appearances in spin-offs that take place before Chapter 4).
Chad Stahelski (Director) said that it's meant to be ambiguous and up to the viewer if John (himself) died or if the Baba Yaga died, that day. I really like this aspect and I'm really hoping they don't do Chapter 5. Chad - "Let's just say John Wick has found a way to be at peace. What's the only way John could have gotten out? He's got to make everyone think he's dead, or he has to be dead, or he has to kill off a part of his persona. However you want to take that, that's cool with us."
@@braytonwright6011 > Chad Stahelski (Director) said that it's meant to be ambiguous If that was their intent, having the final scene be his two closest allies mourning his death at his gravestone (properly placed alongside Helen, and showing Winston fullfilled John's wishes about his gravestone). Any "John actually faked his death" crap is going to feel like just as much of a sucker-punch to the fans as what the writers of BBC's Sherlock pulled in Season 3 when they handwaved the fact that they couldn't reasonably explain how Sherlock survived committing suicide by pavement swan-dive off St Bartholomew's Hospital on screen.
@Low Class Saiyan they set up a return in this though. They made a point to not show his body at a point that your sure he is dead. Also in the final scene the dog has a reaction like he just noticed John was nearby. Would not be surprised if that is shown in Ballarina to set up John Wick 5. Would motivate people to watch that movie.
The producers and the rest of the team already confirmed that they’re “taking a break” from the main John Wick line, as they are focusing on the two confirmed spin-offs: Ballerina (starring Ana de Armas, which was very briefly hinted at in John Wick 2) and a prequel tv show focusing on the New York Continental. There’s also a possibility for one movie focusing on Caine. It’s why John Wick 4 ended the way it did, both the main movie and the post credits scene.
I thought the choreography and cinematography was fantastic! But honestly John has to be superhuman. Like seriously how does he get up after falling down three stories onto a car and down all those stairs
@@ting4758 yeah that fall down the stairs and out of the building would’ve been at least 18 months recovery if not permanent damage. Either way I had fun
The theater I was on all laughted histerically when John yoloed and threw himself out of a window of a 4 storie building, also when he was falling nonstop from the long stairs it was top tier comedy. This movie had everything, top tier action, comedy, interesting characters, beautiful cinematography and a story that served the purpose of pushing the plot forward. Perfect movie to end the series and cement it as one of the best action franquises of all time.
I mean they really could've just had him fall out of a building half that size and it would be actually believable, same with the cars hitting him just have fewer cars hit him and it'd be more believable. 5 story building was a bit much
Thanks for reminding me of that Key & Peele sketch, it's one of my personal favorites and I'll be sure to quote it to exhaustion to all of my friends in the coming weeks and possibly months.
Absolutely. That and the "Prepared for Terries" sketches are my favorite. The continental breakfast one is just so absurd and ridiculous. It's hard to describe why I love it so much. I must've watched it 5 times in a row the first time, dying laughing every time. I've shown it to people who just look at me weird and say "I don't get it, it's just stupid". Yeah...duh...that's why it's hilarious!
I think the big difference between John wick and all those other sequels is that they are usually made around 10 years after the first trilogy while the John wick movies all come out a few weeks apart
I love how every time the Ballerina is mentioned it shows No Time To Die Ana De Armas 🤣 Spot on vid!! So many details mentioned are why I loved watching JW4 multiple times!
I do like that they left the main series an open book. We saw his lay down, we saw his grave, but Winston's wording makes it seem like John faked it to live in peace.
I agree with just about everything you said with the only major difference being our rankings. Mine is: 1) Chapter 2 2) Chapter 4 3) John Wick 4) Parabellum

they give us a hint in the post credits scene how caine gets away from akira at that moment by adding the sound of her blade coming out, caine would hear that and react
I’ve heard from so many people that they didn’t like Chapter 3… I think that’s crazy since it’s literally just more John Wick, in the best way possible. The whole world building was done amazingly
@@FullFatVideos indirectly I think Hotline Miami is to be thanked for the top down sequence as that fast paced top town got resparked when Hotline Miami came out and several games have attempted to mimic it's tone and pacing. I would sadly say none have hit it for me. Even the sequel (Hotline Miami 2) didn't feel as well tuned as Hotline Miami 1.
I just love the fact that in every movie, there´s a scene where John throws his gun at someone. It´s a move I´d love to do in shooter games, and it always gets a laugh out of me when he does it.
Chapter 2 is actually my favourite of the series by far, it perfectly elevates the action while heavily expanding the world/lore for the rest of the films, and still manages to have a gripping story that seamlessly continues from the 1st film. For me, the series started to drop after Chapter 3, not because of the action, but because the story became more and more nonsensical, and John’s motivations become pretty much arbitrary. Why does he pledge allegiance to the high table, only to betray them the next minute??? Why do “high table duels” suddenly exist with no buildup or reason, other than convenience? Worst of all, John Wick 3 feels like it ends pretty much where it starts, losing the sense of progression that made the first 2 so enjoyable, and honestly I feel like you could skip 3 and not miss much story. I never felt like the first 2 films suffered from the half-baked storytelling of 3 (and 4). I’m really glad John Wick 4 exists, as I like it a lot, but storywise I really think John Wick would’ve benefitted from being a trilogy. This would’ve focused the story more and avoided any directionless entries.
Personally, Chapter 5 shouldn't come to fruition. 'Chapter 4' ended with John's victory guaranteeing the High Table will be rocked and destabilized, John finally was free of his obligations, and 'died' a free man as he was when he was with Helen. It's poetic, bittersweet - but as good of an ending for this character as there could be. And the fact that the director let it be ambiguous on purpose so that the viewer can decide if John himself died or just the Baba Yaga - is also a smart and fitting thing to do for its dedicated The director and Keanu left the ending ambiguous so that the viewer can decide if John Wick found peace in death, or if he found peace in 'burying' Baba Yaga and letting others think he's dead.
I think that's such a nice callback to Winston's line in 3 about you have to die at some point so you can either die a murderer or die as the man you were when you were married and at peace so it just fit him perfect. What else is john gonna do if he's not working with or against the high table. He doesn't have anything else to live for and there's so much in the movie prepping john for a good death that it would cheapen it to try and bring him back somehow. "You saying goodbyes? No, just saying hello." "a good death does not come without living a good life" "I want it to say loving husband"
I was initially confused as to why The Bowry King didn't drop Wick off closer to Sacre Coeur and then I watched the next 45 minutes of the film and was immensely glad that he hadn't
I was excited with wide eyes walking into the theater. Throughout the whole movie I had the biggest smile on my face. The only thing I felt unfinished was his car. But I felt a sense of finish after it. But I got to tell you, at the end, the dog reacted to something far away, he wouldn't reacted like to just anyone. 😳😳😳
Something that i like from John Wick and most action movies doesn't have is how clear we can see the fighting scenes, is not a weird all moving camera without no one knowing what the heck is going on... No, is most of the time so clean images, you see clearly all kicks, all throws, all punches, even bullets shooted, we know every move they made... That was so satisfactory to watch in the 3 movies (i need to see the 4 still), and that's one thing that action movies should do more instead of being the next "The Transporter" where you have a badass where most of the movie doesn't get hurt
I don't think Keanu is in a position to do another John Wick. He is quite old. Also I don't think the audiences would want to see anyone else in the role
I kinda like the mystery of his last mission as it is. However, I do think a prequel showing the histories of some of the characters in the height of their assassining would be pretty cool.
@@shyguy5473 keanu does have a Stuntman, but most of the shooting he does, since he trained with Taran Tactical,Keanu is also enthusiastic to reprise a role, so don't get your hopes down yet friend! Aha
Honestly, Wick 4 would be at the top of my personal list because it finally adds characters that I really start to care for. Of course Wick is great, but I always felt like I wanted more story-wise, since he's not much of a talker (which isn't that big of a problem!). I really enjoyed Caine and Mr. Nobody and they truly added that little bit of extra I've wanted for all the Wick stories. Truly a great capstone and my favorite of the movies.
Not only do they risk diminishing returns (eventually, there will be a quality dip and this style of action will start to feel stale) by doing 'Chapter 5', but the world of John Wick can only be stretched so far and so much - it WILL lose its luster if it keeps going on and on. Mystique in art is good. Over-explaining harms intrigue. The world of John Wick still has its shine and mystique. Don't cheapen it. Plus, a 5th film would harm the ambiguously poignant ending of 'Chapter 4' to justify its existence.
To think I was the only one in the theatre watching the first John Wick, had to come back with my mates to let them witness the best action movie of 2014. And it's been an amazing ride with the colours and set design being out of this world since the first one with such colourful world.
There's definitely more story to be told in terms of taking down the very top of the High Table. If they do intend to go down that route, it's strange how the made this one feel very final.
I really hope we get a Wick 5 but it's a collection of characters we've already met inspired by John Wick to destroy the High Table for good and that would also show us why John couldn't win. Because he only had himself.
@@tylerrice1352 Same. John now has had a satisfying journey, so I don't like the idea of bringing him back again. There are a lot of cool side characters they've introduced though, so I think a movie about them might be pretty cool. It makes me think having John as a mentor to one might have been interesting, but again I think leaving his death intact is better now that they've committed to it.
This. The action was great in JW4 and it has Donnie Yen. The action, writing and acting are superb in JW2. The subtleties of Santino make him the most memorable bad guy boss.
The first movie has a heart. All other chapters are a love letter to the action movies and stunt work, but there is very little emotional involvement from the main character. In the first movie he kills for revenge, second cause he is made to, third same, but by the fourth he killed just to mess with the high table or whatever, he doesn't take them down, just causes trouble for them
I disagree. Second movie sets up a change in motivation when Santino says he thinks Wick is addicted to revenge. Having tasted it in the first movie, it has unkowingly become his new motivation. Chapter 3 is Wick fighting for survival but deep down without a clear goal in sight, something which is pointed down at the start of chapter 4. Chapter 4 forces Wick to rethink goal of survival at any cost, and he ends his arc by choosing to die so his friend Caine can be free of the High Table, because Caine actually has something to live for.
If we do get another movie in the franchise I hope it's a cat and mouse movie with Akira hunting Caine. That's all I want. I won't be mad if John Wick somehow didn't die, but I'll be happier if he stays dead. Also my headcanon of why John Leguizamo isn't in the 3rd or 4th movie is that he got killed by Santa Clause between movies.
2:50 John Wick Chapter 4 is actually subtitled in its Brazilian release! It's called John Wick 4: Baba Yaga. Yep, no "Chapter" in its title, but an actual subtitle! Took me a while to realize it wasn't called Baba Yaga in its American release.

Great villains with great motivations, awesome action with music. And the best ending having john surrounded by assasins on the run. I remember being stunned by the ending thinking holy shit how will they handle this in the next film? JW2 is best with action. JW1 sets up everything for the series and holds a deeper story. JW1 for story. And JW3 for worldbuilding. JW4 by far carries EVERYTHING the past films have and expand it even bigger with the runtime. JW4 being my absolute favourite film. Great video!!

I think what sets John Wick 4 apart from the other "Fourquels" is that, to me, the series is actually a Trilogy, beggining with chapter 2 and with the first one being more like a pitch or a pilot for the true series to come. The second chapter could easily be refited to be the first movie with just a few tweeks and the other movies are escalations of the consequences from this film, not the first.
love this take!
I think you've hit the nail on the head with this one! The first movie is definitely its own standalone thing, and 2, 3, and 4 are the second story.
That’s how I saw the first one. It was a showcase of the world, the characters, and it’s rules, but the actual long term plot truly started in the second one.
Absolutely correct. This is what I’ve been saying for a while.
Precisely this, John Wick 1 is essentially a “proof of concept”.
John wick- He grieved
John wick 2- He Raged
John wick 3- He bargained
John wick 4- He Accepted
John wick 5- He Resurrected
They better not let Keanu turn into a grasp without at least 3 more John Wick movies
Jesus Wick.
Resurrection? Gives me Matrix 4 vibes, let's not do that...
Yeah last time Keanu Reeves resurrected things didn't go that well in the movie reviews, if you know what I mean.
We don’t need 5. That’s very risky and would probably be bad considering 4 is already the perfect ending
I’m all for a chapter 5 If the movie makes itself necessary and a worthy addition, otherwise they should just leave it open ended like it is currently
I'm hoping chapter 5 reveals John is Doomguy... just killing demons in hell lmao.
Or that he has become a legendary Househusband dedicated to a new life... Keep him out of the underworld and fully committed to enjoying retirement... Like FULLY committed to where normies are like, did he just hop an overpass for a coupon? Kool aid man his neighbors fence to catch a steak he launched? Something crazy with more pedestrian stunts.
@@trasen5626 and then john was the zombies...
how is it open ended lol
@@cameronclaypool9133, Coz John and Caine (I can't remember who shot where 1st?) Shot each other the same way as The Dr (who's The Key Maker in The Matrix) told John to shoot him! Basically a Non Fatal Shot! And then you've got the Dog at the End looking the other Way n one of LF or IMcH saying is John in Heaven Or Hell?
John Wick is Not a Boogeman He is the one you send to kill a fucking Boogeman
John's friendship and dynamic with Caine was so great. You could easily feel the bond their history carried and wasn't forced with flashbacks or long expositions
I feel the subtitle for John Wick 3 actually makes sense, Parabellum means: prepare for war, and being the penultimate film before John Wick 4, where they go to war with the high table, it makes sense
Perfectly said
I agree. 1 and 2 feel like one story, and feel more intimate in scale. While 3 and 4 are the second story borne out of the events of the first one, and are more grand and outward facing in scale.
Plus it’s a good pun, with it also referring to 9mm Parabellum.

THE bar in modern action movies. So much style dripping from beautiful and unique action setpieces, the perfect blend
John Wich Chapter 4 is this year's Top Gun: Maverick. It's not a perfect movie, but it's an undeniable masterclass of the genre.
Also thought of Maverick while watching JW4 - dying genre of classic action flicks just got another masterpiece
Nah not at all.
What i loved about Caine’s character is in the kitchen scene he looks like he’s incapacitating his enemies with his cane instead of killing cuz he’s there by force not cuz he wants to
I completely lost my mind when he was ripping that sick drift in the ‘Cuda around that island of enemies while shooting at them during the arc d’triumph sequence. So goddamn cool!
It’s so weird to say “I don’t want a John Wick 5”, because I just LOVE the saga
But that’s why I don’t want an other sequel: I don’t want them to ruin it, and John deserves peace after all he’s gone through.
Only if it has Donnie Yen.
How about a prequel
As much as I liked Mr. Nobody he’s the only one I thought could’ve been more fleshed out. It makes me wonder if he’s gonna appear in The Ballerina since it’s said to take place between 3 and 4. I want to know what exactly brought him into the fold.
The watch cap makes me think ex-military.
Ana de Armas has confirmed that she's shot scenes wih Keanu. So Wick does make a cameo.
A spin-off movie with Caine and Akira would be the perfect continuation to this new potential WCU (Wick Cinematic Universe)
@@gilbertoflores7397 I remember. Chad spoke on how he scrapped 5 in favor of ending it here though recently. So I’d be ok with it ending here. It doesn’t need to become another Fast and Furious. Continues past when it should’ve ended, and just becomes so outrageous you don’t ask “how’d they do that?” Anymore, but “why are they doing this”. I don’t want this for Wick.
@@NoirNameless I think because of all the delays, the studio said just shoot 4, and don't do 5. But after the success of 4, 5 is back on the table. It would be hard to do a sequel off of this ending. But this definitely felt like 2 movies mashed into one, we should see more of the high table or their interactions at leat once. So I would love to see more, be it prequels or spin offs. But this would shouldn't end.
this franchise peed on M She U by showing the incredible locations with beautiful colors and lighting effects ....where those disney retards only use greenscreen
Thankfully if Keanu doesn't think the movies worth it he won't do it so short of recasting John wick it won't happen unless Keanu thinks it makes sense
The Lore of High Table is fascinating, and we keep finding new things about this war. And I agree, Aurelio should have come back.
Not only are they great films, it inspires me that so many people love what they do.
Seeing Charon fight next to Wick in 3 is a top 5 moment of the franchise fr
Yeah it’s so sweet when they walk out with the shottys
@Full Fat Videos no offense but why do you pronounce baba yaga so wierd?
Subscribed.
Beautiful scene with a truly beautiful woman.

What a beautiful video. I loved John Wick so much.shout out to you for acknowledging Lance Reddick.
It's insane that possibly the best action series in a long while has also top tier lighting, camerawork and design as well as subtle acting, lots of show don't tell, doesn't treat its audience like idiots and manages to top itself with every installment. All the while being headed by stuntmen.
The John Wick movies are how you make movies and do them well.
this shit singlehandedly resurrected my love for movies. I can't sit through a whole movie especially 3 hours long. yes im talking about avatar
The ending of Chapter 2 gave me so many chills
I love the theater, I remember so many people I knew and online saying they hate the theater and “why not watch movies at home?” Like sure ya, but there’s just such a different feeling when watching big movies like this with so many other people who you don’t know, but you know you’re all there for a good time
When I heard there would be a Chaptet 5, I wasn't expecting John to die in Chapter 4
I was really expecting him to fake his death or something
Now I don't know what to expect from Chapter 5
@@braytonwright6011 I really hope he doesn't come back. a 5th movie would feel like just a cash grab.
@@braytonwright6011 > Chad Stahelski (Director) said that it's meant to be ambiguous
If that was their intent, having the final scene be his two closest allies mourning his death at his gravestone (properly placed alongside Helen, and showing Winston fullfilled John's wishes about his gravestone).
After chapter 3 I had huge expectations. I was worried it won't live up to my expectations but it actually somehow exceeded them
The producers and the rest of the team already confirmed that they’re “taking a break” from the main John Wick line, as they are focusing on the two confirmed spin-offs: Ballerina (starring Ana de Armas, which was very briefly hinted at in John Wick 2) and a prequel tv show focusing on the New York Continental. There’s also a possibility for one movie focusing on Caine. It’s why John Wick 4 ended the way it did, both the main movie and the post credits scene.
I would love to see a film about Caine and just let Donnie do everything he has always wanted to do.
I thought the choreography and cinematography was fantastic! But honestly John has to be superhuman. Like seriously how does he get up after falling down three stories onto a car and down all those stairs
Yeah, any one of those hits is about 3-6 months in the hospital
@@ting4758 yeah that fall down the stairs and out of the building would’ve been at least 18 months recovery if not permanent damage. Either way I had fun
The theater I was on all laughted histerically when John yoloed and threw himself out of a window of a 4 storie building, also when he was falling nonstop from the long stairs it was top tier comedy. This movie had everything, top tier action, comedy, interesting characters, beautiful cinematography and a story that served the purpose of pushing the plot forward. I’ve heard from so many people that they didn’t like Chapter 3… I think that’s crazy since it’s literally just more John Wick, in the best way possible. The whole world building was done amazingly
I always thought the top down scene was a reference to Hotline Miami
No they specifically said they had never heard of hotline Miami lol. But HK massacre is similar in style
Getting 3 good ones is almost impossible. 4 is incredible
And the fact that the director let it be ambiguous on purpose so that the viewer can decide if John himself died or just the Baba Yaga - is also a smart and fitting thing to do for its dedicated
The director and Keanu left the ending ambiguous so that the viewer can decide if John Wick found peace in death, or if he found peace in 'burying' Baba Yaga and letting others think he's dead.
Can we talk about Clancy Brown as The Harbinger? Easily my favorite side character introduced by this movie
God damn great movie! Keanu is the man! And rip to Lance Reddick 😢 he will be missed.
Pretty good video but surprised you didn't talk about the INSANE theme songs especially those by Le Castle Vania who got me vibing the whole movie
I’ve always seen the first movie as a sort of prologue, and the rest of the movies as the true trilogy.
That’s interesting, wonder how that would play as a marathon…
Chapter 2 is great because it's non stop action.
8:02 thats my background rn that shot for me was one of the most stunning in the film
If there’s a “Chapter 5”, it should be about the impossible task that Viggo gave to John Wick before the first movie

You should watch them. They’re great
Watch them so you have something to bond with them over
i really loved how effortlessly stylish caine was
Something that i like from John Wick and most action movies doesn't have is how clear we can see the fighting scenes, is not a weird all moving camera without no one knowing what the heck is going on...
I think a prequel to John Wick when he was an active assassin would be too great to pass up. I'd love to see his last mission that gained his freedom.
I'd also like to see some of that John/Caine/Koji brotherhood.
I think the current storyline could leave it there, but I would love to see a movie about "the impossible task" that he had to do to get out

I thank John Wick dog. Cuz of him we have unthinkable action move to watch 😂
GREAT!
Watching this man go on a rampage is a work of art.
Best action, in any action series ever. Hands down.
If you want action, you want John wick.
Plus, a 5th film would harm the ambiguously poignant ending of 'Chapter 4' to justify its existence.
yes. if they wanna do another one, it could be a prequel. Maybe even someone younger that resembles Keanu
In a sense, I know he had a lot of help from others throughout the movies
@@tylerrice1352 Same. John now has had a satisfying journey, so I don't like the idea of bringing him back again. There are a lot of cool side characters they've introduced though, so I think a movie about them might be pretty cool. It makes me think having John as a mentor to one might have been interesting, but again I think leaving his death intact is better now that they've committed to it.

I won't be cuz it's not the same without wick could care less for Akira without fuckin wick
My john wick ranking (please note, this is my opinion and i still love every one of these movies)
1: John Wick 4
2: John Wick 2
3: John Wick
4: John Wick 3
Reason being is that i binged these movies recently and honestly i had so much fun with 2.
I wouldn’t mind John Wick being this character that kinda just shows up every few years for another movie, because he’s just that awesome.
You know, there was no funereal for John wick and the ground was not freshly buried. They could have just purchased a tomb stone for him and made it appear like he died. Love this movie
