The fact that ryan reynolds, the man who fought tooth & nail to play Deadpool, also helped channing tatum after his long struggle trying to play gambit, is so cool.
Now the suits just need to work out how to get Channing Tatum's Gambit onto any sort of screen now. Deadpool & Wolverine & X-Men 97 obviously reignited interest in the character now despite being a fan favorite for nearly three decades.
@@cwj157 iirc he's been in talks with Marvel for a hot minute about something for Blade. While logically one would think it would be about Blade 4, but my thought is that Feige/someone up the chain really wants him for Jamal Afari, Blade's mentor from the comics. Which would be hype af to be honest.
@@charleskuss8428the fact you think this accent is wrong shows you’ve never been to rural Louisiana 😂 it’s the most accurate movie one I’ve heard in years
I freaked the freak out when I saw Channing play Gambit in his 90s X-Men costume. Him and (Spoiler alert) Blade was such a nice surprise. My inner child squealed 😊
I was never fully convinced that the "MynameJeff" guy could pull off being Gambit but my god I was so wrong. I am fully on board with a Gambit movie with Tatum as the lead now. MAKE IT HAPPEN, DISNEY!
bro Channing is so fat for this role cmon, his face in that cap is ridicilous, you need a man with much slimmer physique. Also the way he tossed those cards is so heavy... i mean Gambit is a slick thief not a brawler, he throws cards like a ninja throws shurikens. Channing's entire move set was so heavy and "tank like". I don't understand how people are cheering so hard for him. Its the same as fans whos asking Keanu Reeves to become the next Wolverine...
If you've ever thrown shurikens and things similar, if you actually wanna do anything you throw them hard and with skill. Damn throwing normal playing cards properly takes some power.@@MrAngerius
Gambit is the type of guy who managed to pull out an Uno Reverse Card on a Yu-Gi-Oh battle and still won. He's just as good at playing cards as spitting straight facts.
Finally somebody giving Tatum credit for his accurate portrayal and actual comic accurate costume as I can’t handle these takes of people saying they wanted a more comic accurate version, like how is that even possible? Outside of not having his red eyes everything else was perfect.
Well he could be accurate if it wasn't Tatum. He's too chunky, making his action scenes look really slow and sloppy. He's also too old, making him look like an adult trying to act like he's a teenager. He's also not a good actor, his face has almost zero expression while he keeps yapping in an accent that makes him look even more ridiculous than the tight rubber on his neck. There's a reason why Deadpool mocked him so much and it shows.
@@radrno7 and Wolverine is 5'3" making Hugh's portrayal of Wolverine inaccurate. i too thought his cheeks/neck was a bit fat, but in comics, a character's body also changes, sometimes Wolverine is too bulky and muscular as well as Deadpool, like they've been overdosing on steroids and looking like a Hulk build, sometimes they have more muscular athletic builds, where their body is more believable. their body builds changes constantly in comics as they constantly have different artists. it's just one of those things you have to get over in order to enjoy the actor's portrayal of the character, and the portrayal of the character was enjoyable. i feel like a lot of people are basing their interpretation of Gambit's build to X-Men's 90's cartoon and X-Men's 97 cartoon build in where he's not so chubby and they just can't get over it. also from what i've heard, his accent is on point with lore accurate Gambit as it is a thick Louisiana accent. as for facial expressions, i saw no reason why he needed to have much facial expressions. the only non-accurate thing about him that's a legitimate argument yet you're not complaining about is the eyes as it's not black and red. which shows that you don't really care about accuracy nor how enjoyable the character was in Tatum's portrayal, you just don't want that actor specifically.
@@edwinplayer Wolverine's portrayal is done amazingly by Hugh Jackman, who is a GREAT actor, which Channing Tatum is NOT, and nothing in Hugh's body keeps him from playing the character (except for his health, of course), where as Channing's body does, because Wolverine looks old where as Gambit does not. You would be better off comparing him to someone like Tobey as Spidey, but even then he also has aged with the character so it's really just Channing that is the problem. And yeah, you're right, my problem is with Tatum, I don't consider him good enough for the role and it's simple as that. He was fun to watch for a couple of scenes as a parody of Gambit and that's it. The black eyes are just one of the missing elements, which isn't ALL there is to the character, hence why I didn't put them as a dealbreaker. If all you care about are looks, then you're better off looking for a cosplayer than a real actor in the character.
Bro, Marvel should hire you. Screw Iron Heart and Agatha, why making series about characters almost nobody cares about ? Cable and Gambit are beloved mutants in Marvel comic fan base, and they have good actors that can handle comedy and drama perfectly
The Gambit was only supposed to be a cameo, but I think that because the audience responded so well to this cameo that we'll likely see a film spun off of this as a sequel.
If this were any Other studio, yes. But its Woke Disney. They probably wont give Gambit his own movie unless he is LGBTQ, DEI, or non white hetero male. Ryan Reynolds had to fight tooth and nail for Deadpool & Wolverine. IF Disney makes a Gambit Movie it will be completely woke with an agenda driven storyline.

Once I knew it was actually Channing doing the badass breakdance sequence I got totally sold on him as Gambit. The accent, the charm and mannerisms are there too, give this man his solo Gambit movie or at the very least more supporting roles as him in the upcoming Marvel movies.
Can we take a moment to acknowledge that this film respected both movie and comic lore, the ONLY project to use the TVA in a multiverse outside of Loki. The marvel studios writers need to be fired.
For real. We had Dr. Strange and Spiderman doing some heavy multiverse stuff and the TVA was nowhere to be seen! That lack of continuity has bothered me ever since.
@@lizg235I might be wrong but I think multiverse of madness was doomed to be failed the script or the shoot (not sure) has been finalized even before wanda and loki series so there was no way they could connect continuity
the movie still has holes, like how movie takes place in 2024 and Wolverine died in 2029 yet the TVA wants to erase the timeline even though Wolverine the Anchor Being is still alive in 2024
@@theamazingspooderman2697that bugs me a little too- but, part of the point of the TVA is that they operate outside of normal time, and erasing the universe earlier than it would happen naturally is somewhat part of the rogue TVA guy’s point. Prune it early, “humanely”, etc.
My only complaint about Gambit is that his costume being accurate puts every other superhero costume to shame, even Deadpool and Wolverine, and their costumes are incredible. My main issue is I wish ALL superhero costumes were held to the same standard as Gambit’s. Imagine if the cohesion of comic accuracy allowed for vibrant colors, no padded suits or armor, and more zany looking comic designs. We’re so far removed from Batman and Robin from the 90s that I think we can handle genuine comic accurate costume designs. Gambit should be the gold standard going forward.
That costume, while accurate, looked corny and the headpiece looked really odd. Did you notice how deadpool had a squeaky clean costume, that got dirty throughout the film? Yet Gambit has a glossy perfect look, despite living in the void. Where everyone else is dirty and grungy. The clothes may have been accurate, but the character was not.
@@tonyw6451 yeah I felt a weird disconnect with his flamboyant outfit against the other voiders more run down mad max post apocalypse clothes thrown together look of the others, minus blade who never really had an over the top outfit it was just Wesley looking cool, and elektra got her accurate costume pretty much to I imagine as she looked stunning as always in the movie. I liked seeing them two, channing was wierd though, he felt like he didn't belong there, not at that time anyway.. It was the squeaky clean armour. Not a scratch kr a drop of blood or dirt.. It was accurate to the OG comic design, but not the movie itself I get you man, even Jonnys outfit was a bit thrown together.

The best part about his Cajun accent is that as a Cajun. You can hear the 337 influence of it more then the 985 area. He says cher not sha, and other words that he uses their inflections more so. However, if you are not from this area you wouldn't hear some of the differences. Because each bayou and city had it's own dialect.
This was all could think of while watching movie. It felt like they truly captured this flavour and magic of the epic Marvel team-up even better than Avengers movies ever could.
@@theamazingspooderman2697 I know, but it’s a similar problem to the one I have with overly designed suits that always end up looking like they belong in the same universe too much. Same tired unnecessary texture lines, same design philosophies over and over again. My point is that MCU is usually too homogeneous when it comes to building the playground and the characters so that they all fit together like puzzle pieces when needed. Here Blade, Electra and Gambit and Cassandra Nova (as she is I can easily imagine her one of the bosses in the Ultimate Alliance) truly felt like something straight from that era of Marvel because of how visually and characterisation-wise different they all were and yet the chemistry naturally was there, it wasn’t forced and polished by cliche-bickering or any other tired Whedonisms that at this point became so synonymous with writing a superhero team-up movie. This took me back to childhood memories of old-school diverse pre-MCU Marvel that I grew up with.

I didn’t know anything about gambit beyond the fact that he was fun to play in the Marvel mobile fighting game. You know the one that’s like Mortal Kombat, and I was still Hella excited to see him pop up in this movie, especially during his fight scenes that character has potential fr
Tatum is a bit too muscular/broad to fit Gambit arguably; as hes always been a more sleek acrobatic kind of guy. A thief or a trickster. Although if you can accept a tall Wolverine it isnt too big of a deal (also he’s 1.60 or 5,3; not an actual midget like the movie portrayed)
X-Men 97 was a big time miss for me. The main reason X-Men TAS was as big as it was is because the comics of the time reflected the comic characters in the show, with none of the modern nonsense we have today to hold it back, although it was held back by the ways of its own time. Continuing on over 20 years later just made it seem disjointed, and really, the Rogue and Gambit storyline was fast tracked and messed with for what reason? Honestly, the only one to voice Gambit for me is Chris Potter. If Channing Tatum can imitate, or learn to slow his speech down a little bit and speak clearly, he'd have 100% won me over. This isn't to bash his portrayal, not by any means at all! He did a great job as Gambit, and the fact he's a fan of the character and has fought for the character makes me think he'd do his utmost best to portray him in the best way possible. Just needs to tweak it a little bit to make it work better. Constructive criticism.
X-Men 97 was a big time miss for me as well, but I saw that coming before it even aired. I don't want a 40 some year old playing the character, Gambit is supposed to be in his early or mid-20s and Tatum looks his age, there are plenty of younger and better actors out there who could play this role. The person who got fired from the show said that he was going to develop their relationship, but we now know that was a lie. As for the reasons, well the people who work at Disney are pretty sick and that's been proven several times. But then again, I never liked them being together, they're relationship in the comics for the past 30 years has been nothing but horrible and Gambit's character has been destroyed because of it.
@@T-800I Yeah, I went into X-Men 97 expecting it to be a bit off due to the many years since the last real season. So I didn't have high expectations. As for Gambit's age, that can be kinda debated. He had quite a full life before he became an adult, and then you got time travelling shenanigans, it may be hard to pin down his actual age in comics. I tend to think of him in his late 20s, but more like early 30s. Also, different writers and artists tend to have different ideas on his age, and that confuses it more. Beau DeMayo is getting lauded for X-Men 97, despite getting fired, and well... he did alright-ish, but they could have done so much better. Supposedly, Disney was/is getting rid of the activists and all, which would be good if I believed them every time they said things along those lines in the past. So, no faith in Disney. Personally, I liked Rogue and Gambit's relationship. You have a guy who has, among his list of powers, an ability to literally charm the pants off anyone, can have anyone at any time, and yet he wants someone he can't have. So he's had to learn patience, he's had to learn to slow things down, and he's had to learn loyalty because of that. If it weren't initially for Storm, and then Rogue, Gambit likely would have split from the X-Men. I think what destroyed his character was opening the curtain on everything "mysterious" about him. Same goes for Logan. They built two characters who's main draw was their mysteriousness, and then just revealed everything making their characters less special or interesting. I would rather have a cloud over certain aspects, where you aren't sure 100% where his loyalties lie until he proves it through actions, and yet keep his motivations a mystery or have him just shrug it off as "Ah well, just part of the hero schtick" with a wink and nod.
Gambit was already one of my fave X-Men, and I got a new appreciation for his powers from invincible rexplode, then '97, and then in Deadpool, if only his appearance wasn't spoiled for my by the internet
I remember Gambit being the most popular of the X-Men at school when I was watching the original show in the 90's. Maybe it was Wolverine and Cyclops in other places but not here and the funny thing is where I live is where Cyclops was born.
Do people just comment before they watch the video 😮 loved my boy Tatum seriously the taste of what we got is more than a well deserved reason to bring him back into a new X-men continuity in the MCU !!!also MY NAME JEFF 😂
People who think this must operate in such a strange way. You comment multiple times WHILE watching the video, the first is a response to the title, and you go from there. How ekse do you get out all of your thoughts on the video, allowing FullFat to get a better idea of our thoughts per topic. Like, if it was a 30 second vid, sure, watch and then comment, but it's a bit longer than 30 seconds, and covers many points, each needing to be addressed in their own comment. Otherwise, are you even interacting with the creator?
This is the most I’ve ever understood commenting during the video, actually makes sense. It can be frustrating when you get a comment about something shortly answered in the video though
When I found out about him, my reaction towards him was "And I got to tell you, it was perfect. Perfect. Everything, down to the last minute details." Really loving Tatum takes on Gambit so far. Hope he get a solo movies.
My favourite Gambit memory is from the animated series where the X-men are getting trounced by Apocalypse and Gambit appears out of nowhere and flies a single seater jet into Apocalypse’s face flipping out the cockpit just before impact and announcing, “ The names Gambit, remember it.” As the jet explodes it Apocalypse’s face and turns the tide of battle. Iconic.
I’m really glad I wasn’t the only one who walked away from that movie specifically fascinated by Gambit, I was passively aware of his existence but actually seeing him on screen really opened my eyes to him and the near-limitless potential he holds as a character
You need to watch x-men 97 to see why this gambit still doesn't do the character justice. It's ok, Tatum is cool, but that accent... they just made it a joke cuz they knew it was bad.
I really like the fact that dedpool is R rated movie, it gives the Gambit a true chance to showcase his powers; He touches stuff, and it goes boom! People often are okay with the fact that in holiwood, humans are made of rubber or some other shit and never rip apart with explosions.
he cant make organic stuff blow up so there's that, why would the villains be dumb enough to touch him when they know what his powers are? and he doesnt normally spam his explosions everywhere, only when required
@@theamazingspooderman2697 You *DO* realize that playing cards are made of paper which is intrinsically organic... there are also many other instances where that statement is proven false... it is just a lot easier for Gambit to blow up "dead" or dormant things then living tissue.
Honestly Channing Tatum's long background in dancing makes his part as Gambit even better. There's this acrobatic and almost dance-like nature to the way he fights, very theatrical, which lends itself so well to someone who has been learning choreography for years

I'd honestly love just a Gambit story with Tatum that's just about him doing thieving stuff. Hell, his 2012 solo book was him going across the globe stealing things and it was a great run.
Gambit is my 2nd favorite X-Men. While I've never read the comic books, I grew up watching the cartoon, and I loved his rebellious, wise cracking personality.
In a world of latex costumes, the idea that Rogue and Gambit could never be intimate with each other never made sense. As Willy Wonka once said, "just use your imagination".
I’ve been saying for the longest that they need to do a live action Avengers vs. X-Men movie. I’ve also said that the only way for the X-Men, and mutants in general, to be introduced into the MCU at this point, is by saying that they came from another Earth. Mutants don’t have the luxury of keeping their existence hidden from the rest of the world like the Inhumans, Eternals, and vampires do. So if the people in the MCU haven’t learned about them yet, it’s because they don’t exist in their world, despite what they tried to sneak by with Ms. Marvel, and Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Mutants getting a fresh start on a whole new world, but getting into conflict with the Avengers trying to keep the peace. And everything becoming undone by the Rogue and Carol Danvers conflict. Rogue touching Carol for too long, knocking her unconscious, and getting her powers, and it’s seen on live television, which makes people worried that if one mutant is capable of taking down their most powerful hero, then all mutants must be just as dangerous. And that’s what puts mutants and the X-Men back at square one in the MCU. All because of the actions of one "Rogue" mutant.
I didn’t know Josh Holloway was set to play Gambit and I’ve personally thought how incredible he would be for the part if he were younger, learning that it was a plan at one point actually makes me super bummed about what could’ve been
I didn't remember who gambit was until he pulled out his cards and started blowing people up with it, I then realised he was that magician dude from X-Man origin: Wolverine (uncaged edition) which i played as a kid. Yes, i remember him from a video game. And in that, the most iconic thing about the character was his fighting style which was cool and felt nice to look at.
As a big Gambit fan who was super sad Channing Tatum’s Gambit movie was cancelled back in the day, I was hyped when he showed up in Deadpool and Wolverine. Channing Tatum has so much passion for the character and it shows through in his performance. I was so happy to see Gambit and so happy to see Channing finally in that role.
I feel like despite looking 10-15 years younger than he actually is, Tatum isnt likely to play Gambit long term, that being said he definitely should be in Secret Wars
I think Marvel is bringing back the original X-Men cast for Secret Wars. They already brought back Wolverine, Beast and Xavier. After that, full reboot
God I love it when actors get to play characters they really love. Its easy to think of actors being just puppets for the Hollywood machine, but its nice to be reminded that they are people that sometimes just wanna play goofy guys
As a fan of X-Men for as long as I can remember, Gambit has been one of my favorite characters. I also love Nightcrawler and Cyclops. I played the hell outta the X-Men SEGA game as a kid and yes, I mostly played as Gambit. I love that Channing wanted to make one really great and impactful movie rather than 40 mediocre Movies with Fox. I hope that he will be the main MCU Gambit.
Given how the MCU likes changing things around with teams, Deadpool, Wolverine, Elektra, Blade, X-23 & Gambit as the MCU’s version of The Exiles would be perfect.
Gambit was/is my favorite X-MEN character. And I was equally heartbroken when we found out his solo Fox film was no longer happening. Plus, I have a very personal story with this character and my mom that I don't feel like sharing in the comments, and she unfortunately just passed away in May 2022. So, I literally almost teared up as I saw that floating card come around the corner and him catching it. The comic book accuracy of his suit is just something beautiful to behold. I honestly don.t see how they could've done it any better. And Channing's portrayal of him with the accent and the agile movements and fighting abilities were just insane. I honestly still can't believe that it actually happened, lol. We're going to see it again tomorrow, and my personal main reason is Gambit, and seeing the cowl on Wolverine after ALL THESE YEARS of waiting!! Bravo to everyone involved with the film. You guys absolutely killed it!! But a special thank you to Ryan Reynolds for talking Marvel into bringing in Gambit and making not only ours, but Channing's dream come true as well. It was genuinely perfect. And that's a RARE thing! THANK YOU!!
When I was a kid, Gambit has always been a badass. Live action movies just never gave a shit a bout him unfortunately. I mean we got Psylocke waaaayyy before Gambit Tatum.
Tatum's Cajun accent was really thick, but as accurate as it gets. He grew up in the bayou of Mississippi, so he's quite familiar with it. Also just a side note, I haven't heard any of the Gambit voice actors get the Cajun "cher" right. It's pronounced more like a "sha"
I was telling a friend (who had seen Deadpool and Wolverine) that this year was probably one of my favorite years ever in comic book movies/shows because we finally got a GREAT Gambit in '97. Him and Nightcrawler have always been my two favorite Xmen so obviously '97 was just so AWESOME to me. She just smiled and nodded along and moved on from the subject. Two days later I saw Deadpool and Wolverine and lost my god damn mind. We ACTUALLY got a live action Gambit that wasn't shit. Hell that's not fair to say because Channing was fucking amazing. I could NOT stop gushing about it. I had rolled my eyes years ago when I heard him talk about Gambit, but man I was wrong. The dude LOVES the character and it shows. The year of Gambit is my favorite. Damn this was great.
For me the Deadpool x Wolverine has became an ultimate kaleidoscope of ultimate cameos we were waiting for so long and Gambit was a cherry on top of all
Tatum deserves a second chance. Gambit was one of the best things on the Movie, his action scenes and his powers are just amazing, and Tatum is exactly what you would expect on a Live Action version of the Character. Besides as Ryan has said on his social media Tatum has tryed everything to make the Gambit Movie to give us the most comic accurate version of the French so just one more thing #BringBackTheGambitMovie
Ryan Reynolds gave us a proper Colossus, a proper Juggernaut, and a proper fight between those two. If that's not enough, he let Channing Tatum live his dream that he thought he had lost of being Gambit in a movie , and gave Elektra and Blade the love they deserved. He did more in three movies than Fox did in 20 years. He honestly should be in charge of whatever Marvel is planning on doing with the X-Men for the MCU, cause nobody knows them the way he does.
Being that Gambit has always been my favorite mutant since the 90's I absolutely geeked when he came around the corner and I yelled omg gambit in the theater louder than I actually wanted to because I was already excited about Blade. Gambit 100% needs to return for another movie Channing Tatum played it perfectly and I will equate him to the character as much as hugh and wolvie or ryan and deadpool.
There is a significant implication behind Gambit's presence in The Void, which is that properties from any canceled marvel movie could be there. Like John Malkovich's Vulture from the unmade Sam Raimi Spider Man 4
When you have a movie that entertains you, you talk about the future possibilities. When a movie puts other things before entertaining you, you mainly see the flaws.

Finally somebody giving Tatum credit for his accurate portrayal and actual comic accurate costume as I can’t handle these takes of people saying they wanted a more comic accurate version, like how is that even possible? Outside of not having his red eyes everything else was perfect.
which he did have for a breif moment while using his powers
Well he could be accurate if it wasn't Tatum. He's too chunky, making his action scenes look really slow and sloppy. He's also too old, making him look like an adult trying to act like he's a teenager. He's also not a good actor, his face has almost zero expression while he keeps yapping in an accent that makes him look even more ridiculous than the tight rubber on his neck. There's a reason why Deadpool mocked him so much and it shows.
@@radrno7are you retarded on purpose
@@edwinplayer
Wolverine's portrayal is done amazingly by Hugh Jackman, who is a GREAT actor, which Channing Tatum is NOT, and nothing in Hugh's body keeps him from playing the character (except for his health, of course), where as Channing's body does, because Wolverine looks old where as Gambit does not.
Need a live action version of gambit with cable where over the course of the movie cable goes slowly mad over trying to comprehend what he is saying
Ahha

I would watch that.

The accent with him say him saying "Liqua" was gold
We love our favorite card throwing mutant!
Wolverine and Deadpool will always be some of my favorites.
Gambit deserves just as much love, if not more.
I remember Gambit being the most popular of the X-Men at school when I was watching the original show in the 90's. Maybe it was Wolverine and Cyclops in other places but not here and the funny thing is where I live is where Cyclops was born.
@@TyyTheFlyGuy Cyclops is just kind of a bummer sometimes. Not as fun as the other X-men.
Do people just comment before they watch the video 😮 loved my boy Tatum seriously the taste of what we got is more than a well deserved reason to bring him back into a new X-men continuity in the MCU !!!also MY NAME JEFF 😂
Half the time no 😂
People who think this must operate in such a strange way.
@@FullFatVideos should make a video about this exact topic applies to so many things 😎
When I found out about him, my reaction towards him was "And I got to tell you, it was perfect. Perfect. Everything, down to the last minute details." Really loving Tatum takes on Gambit so far. Hope he get a solo movies.
That into damn nearly killed me 😂😂 was expecting the actual dialogue and started saying it 😅😂😂

My favourite Gambit memory is from the animated series where the X-men are getting trounced by Apocalypse and Gambit appears out of nowhere and flies a single seater jet into Apocalypse’s face flipping out the cockpit just before impact and announcing,
“ The names Gambit, remember it.” As the jet explodes it Apocalypse’s face and turns the tide of battle.
That's why I liked the Fallout show so much. It's like they had the Bloody Mess perk for the entire season. 😂
he cant make organic stuff blow up so there's that, why would the villains be dumb enough to touch him when they know what his powers are? and he doesnt normally spam his explosions everywhere, only when required
@@theamazingspooderman2697 You *DO* realize that playing cards are made of paper which is intrinsically organic... there are also many other instances where that statement is proven false... it is just a lot easier for Gambit to blow up "dead" or dormant things then living tissue.
“What’s up, Doc!?” 😂😂
Honestly Channing Tatum's long background in dancing makes his part as Gambit even better. There's this acrobatic and almost dance-like nature to the way he fights, very theatrical, which lends itself so well to someone who has been learning choreography for years
03:05 To be fair, Gambit is an anti-hero like the Wolverine, he's not a superhero. Anti-heroes are very different. In fact, he's now in a Deadpool film and Deadpool is also an anti-hero rather than a hero.
Gambit was always trying to make up for his shady roots and dealings with Mr. Sinister and the morlocks
he is more of a hero than anti-hero tbh, earlier in his stories he was anti-hero doing bad stuff for money but not afterwards
@@theamazingspooderman2697 I always viewed him and Wolverine being obvious heroes with good intentions but also both members that had the edge to “do what you gotta do” to take down an enemy
He is on an official super hero team, he may have started as an anti-hero.
Ryan Reynolds got the deadpool role. Finally got Tatum's Gambit on screen and it just makes the fact those movies were snubbed sting even more. Cause he is an awesome gambit. As well as brought back Blade. Bro cooked with this movie.
Love ya buddy, but AJ didn't voice Gambit a second time. Chris Potter played him the original series.
only thing i was dissapointed about was lack of red lenses on black eyes
Its like a clean-shaven wolverine.
Who was your dialect coach? The Minions lol
I almost fergot about gambit and thay absolutely killed it he was amazing
I'd honestly love just a Gambit story with Tatum that's just about him doing thieving stuff. Hell, his 2012 solo book was him going across the globe stealing things and it was a great run.
Gambit is my 2nd favorite X-Men. While I've never read the comic books, I grew up watching the cartoon, and I loved his rebellious, wise cracking personality.
out of all the x-men to be in deadpool i’m glad it was my favourite. cheers ryan
In a world of latex costumes, the idea that Rogue and Gambit could never be intimate with each other never made sense.
As Willy Wonka once said, "just use your imagination".
I’d watch a movie that was just two hours of them tryna figure it out
I mean, they managed it in Pushing Daisies
Cue the Naked Gun body condom scene.

We need him in a live action Avengers VS X-Men movie
Gambit is my favorite comic book character, I'm glad I see him in a live action movie.
I didn’t know Josh Holloway was set to play Gambit and I’ve personally thought how incredible he would be for the part if he were younger, learning that it was a plan at one point actually makes me super bummed about what could’ve been
I adore Gambit! Tatum’s accent was spot on! He sounded just like some of the old men from the bayou! i loved him portrayal
I don't think Gambit could be played long term, period
@@jase276 how come?
@@jase276What?
But Wolverine can? Just recast everyone to play younger characters@@jase276
God I love it when actors get to play characters they really love. Its easy to think of actors being just puppets for the Hollywood machine, but its nice to be reminded that they are people that sometimes just wanna play goofy guys
But gambit is not a goofy guy. He's smooth and charismatic.
As a fan of X-Men for as long as I can remember, Gambit has been one of my favorite characters. I also love Nightcrawler and Cyclops. I played the hell outta the X-Men SEGA game as a kid and yes, I mostly played as Gambit.
I always caught an episode of the cartoon series, even going to comic book store, had to get more X-Men comic books, I think for the Ultimate line up? Anyways, it's finally nice to see an accurate Gambit on the big screen.
The layers to this movie is impressive. From the actors to the characters, the comic references. I’ve never seen so much homage to the comics. Probably the best marvel movie.
Channing as Gambit and Anna Paquin as classic 90s Rogue would be perfect.
As long as it's not that BS 3way romance with magneto 97 xmen try push down our throat, that took place in an Alternate timeline in the comic and got erase at the end ,still don't understand why that was put in the main timeline story ,what's next the wolverine and storm having a daughter romance
@@lavardokemp3827 Yea, lets' keep it like a romcom actin like Mr and Mrs Smith.
Paquin doesn't have the look nor the body to pull off a classic 90s Rogue, like with the Gambit in this film, better to recast a better and hotter actress. Also, how about Gambit has nothing to do with Rogue since all she's done for the past 30+ years in the comics is make his life a living hell. I rather not see any of that brought to live action.
@@T-800IPaquin has matured incredibly and her body and acting style now can absolutely fit comic accurate Rogue if directors knew how to pull it off. That vampire show she was in helped her find her “sexyness” required for the Rogue role. They’d be amazing together. And as a couple they’re just meant to be in the XMen lore. So YESSS BRING PAQUIN WITH A ROGUE ACCURATE COSTUME AND HAIRSTYLE AT LAST, PLEASE!

From the title alone I agree whole heartedly
I really think X-men 97 helped prime a lot of ppl for gambit. Everyone got sad when he died in 97 and then we got a dope gambit in dp
Oh man. They better bring back Channing Tatum Gambit somehow. He was so fk'n perfect, and I didn't have my hopes up whatsoever.
Like John Malkovich's Vulture from the unmade Sam Raimi Spider Man 4
I mean once the multiverse comes into play everything is canon!
When you have a movie that entertains you, you talk about the future possibilities. When a movie puts other things before entertaining you, you mainly see the flaws.
