Good thing you weren't a play tester for Naughty Dog when they were designing the game, they would have only given us a minute to do the mission then XD
You know, thinking about it, Jak is such a typical 'friend but an asshole' to Daxter in 2 lol. But in his defense, Daxter kind of deserves it sometimes.
@@raphaelbrown6314 By accident because he was defending him from a Lurker. Admittedly it was Jaks idea to go to Misty Island but if Jak didn't throw that explosive, they'd both be killed so it was either dying or being an Ottsel.

To me, this was the most memorable thing about this game. Even while watching the cutscene, all I could think was “I hate where this is going, but that’s normal. Right?” I was proven all too right, because it took me 10 times to conquer since I was a total pro with the morph gun, but an equal noob on the jet board. That’s normal, though. Right? However, the truly memorable thing was that my mom was watching me play it the entire time and she was totally spellbound by the music and Daxter yelling “Then we go BOOM!” I got so ticked at her when she shouted it out herself when I conquered the level. This level was so stressful, hearing Daxter’s exact words all over again gave be this split-second jolt of PTSD that totally ruined my moment of victory.
I remember being excited as a kid because I was like "Heck yeah, let's blow stuff up!". Then once I saw every single bomb get armed and heard I only had two minutes left before I'd explode, I was filled with instant dread😂

i will never forget the pure joy the very first time i was able to beat this crazy hard level. i died so many times, so many hours i cried. and then it happened, and i cracked the flow and i was able to beat it over and over again. damn i love this series so much.
This was one of two missions that took me like 2 months to beat as a kid. The other was the one where you have to destroy all the blue crates at the port. Finally seeing those cutscenes was better than all the drugs ive ever done combined.
Ah the good old "get on get off" trick to reposition in front if the wells, once i discovered that as a kid this mission got so mucb easier, but before I discovered it? Fuck this mission
Now that I’m re-playing the Jak series of games (especially Jak II). Its missions aren’t really bad, what makes them bad/frustrating, is the lack of checkpoints, you can have gone through the mission no issues all the way to 75% and just by a single mistake on a jump, sent back to the very start of the mission, that’s the frustrating bit of it. If there was at least 1 or 2 checkpoints on this mission in particular (mostly because of the timer), believe it wouldn’t be so much hated as it is.
I just completed this mission a days ago 28 attempts, I never thought about using the support beam to get the last one. Nevermind the trick combo to get #2
Good thing you weren't a play tester for Naughty Dog when they were designing the game, they would have only given us a minute to do the mission then XD
😂😂😂
I wonder if that's how it started, but merely added the extra minute as a courtesy
They definitely called her to test the pier Krimzon guard mission.
FACTS😅
@@KneeCapHill the original version was easier, and when Kazama did a test run through they decided to add more crimson guards. Thanks a lot Kazama.
This job was hell when i was a kid, lol.
Its still so hard. The button combo and timing to do this is so difficult
It's the easiest mission in the world when you know how to *insert* the bombs but before that it is a nightmare
Jak2 how i hate the races But Jak3 are so easy
Tell me about it. Heck, 20 attempts for doing this job is such a pain in the butt 😓
This game is easy as hell if you know what your doing you just suck at it
Lore accurate Jak gameplay.

i'm so mad we don't have goofy games like this anymore, like let's be real, this is plain dumb fun.
I'm putting my hope after the game awards into the hands of indies and AAs
With Astro Bot winning GOTY I hope it means more studios other than nintendo will realize that good ol fun is still marketable

I was shit on the hoverboard but it was still fun.
Only logical thing to do after seeing this video 15 years after playing those games is to redo the whole Jak saga on my old PS2.
Hated this job as much as I did the first escort cargo mission to meet Krew… and then the “final boss fight with Korr only having blaster ammo.”

No extended hoverboard glitches, nice work. That would’ve thrown off the aesthetic. Used more naturally looking movements.
