    Welcome back to Bali!
    Just a bit of advice, I know a lot of foreigner or tourist in Bali having scooter or motorcycle as their mean of transportation, but please obey the rule and also please wear a proper clothes when you drive.. I know its a beachy place, but driving around half naked is not something common and proper for most of local people... I know the local sometimes could be more stink than the tourist, but you don't need to follow something bad aren't you...
    And also, please behave in public... I think its a common rule whatever part of the world you're at... drink responsibly, be nice, be responsible and make sense.. its ridiculous to see people act crazy after few drinks or party... Balinese people are very welcome to everyone as long as we can keep the mutual respect.
    In Indonesia, we have a proverb... "where the earth is stepped on, there the sky is upheld"
    Lastly, Bali is truly a special place, there is something about its energy you can't find in any other places, something unexplainable that makes you always come back to Bali.. so enjoy Bali, take care of Bali and have a great day!

Bali has a deep root culture and religion history, beside the nature, culture is what makes people keep coming to Bali, and Balinese people tries hard to keep their culture strive in this modernization era. I was just asking for a bit of common sense to everyone comes to Bali. Lets take care of Bali together, especially if you are planning to live in it. Enjoy your stay!

    Very nice all in one guide. It's something I'm considering mid-career and maybe to try out launching an app. I'm amazed how liberal the visa laws are. Can you comment on something I recently saw, that said long term stayers need to have 100k+ in the bank or in property (or something similar)? Apparently many retirees are worried.
    Also I wonder how the medical care is in Bali (for someone not with chronic conditions but not young anymore either). I'm not a 20-something anymore with no fear of scooters, quite the contrary haha.

    • @TheLifeOfJord
      @TheLifeOfJord  Год назад +2

      Thanks! The 100k+ in a bank is a different visa I believe, worth talking to a good agent about.
      The public medical care is not the best in Asia (Thailand and Singapore much better), but there is still a good hospital that caters to foreigners and expats, called BIMC

      As I understood it, there are different types of KITAS that give you rights similar to an Indonesian citizen. So depending on the type of KITAS, you can work or own land here (even if it's through a technicality as you said).
