Thanks for the great video review. Just purchased the RCR with dirt kit. Waiting for arrival. Hate to hear the horror stories, I'm hoping for the best and I know there's a great community out here if I have any issues. Thanks again for the info and tips. I will watch out for that 41ah battery issue, crossing my fingers
I've been on a super73s2 for almost 2 years..had 1 bad accident, the support they had and gave me was unbelievably perfect. Got all my parts that they don't even have listed online within 2 weeks. They even message me again and asked how it was riding now..plus I bought the 73s2 used on marketplace. I'm debating upgrading to a onyx but if that's how they treat the customers then I might just mod a super73r to a 72v
its hard for me to sit here and say get an onyx having gone through my experience. some disagree and most do not, i personally dont tend to hover around and support companies whom disrespect their community and or leave them hanging during times of need. it sounds like youve had a great experience with super thus far, id stick to it and turn that bike into a beast since youre already familiar with it.
Damn. I seriously was already considering buying one of these rcr's from last mile and having them ship it to me because it's a deal. Now that I read this comment I definitely am going to call them and see what add ons they have I might be interested in too!
My Onyx RCR arrived last November, and I am still having a blast on it. The torque and whip- like feel of the ride is really fun. And any bike you get, electric or otherwise, you will want to customize and tweak to your preference. This one is no different.
People dont realize the hidden cost owning one of these things, not to mention the danger of one over a traditional motorcycle. Get yourself a Yamaha mt-03 or r3 for similar prices, and it will last you 100k+ miles and have safer geometry for stable rides. Bicycles were never designed to go +35mph. One pothole and you can easily lose control at high speeds.
Every E bike shop won’t touch them. If anything I had to ride to the dealership itself to look at it or use a truck. Luckily the guys I’ve talked to didn’t give me a hard time for asking questions. But when I move out of state I have to list the bike for sale.
So its a great bike. Except for the brakes, the seat, the battery, the controller, the light, the fenders, the charging port, and horrible customer service. Im sold.
Funny it’s a lot of things they could done better but everyone loves the rcr .. onyx is lucky. I have the rcr and the cty2 I had the cyt2 first they are basically the same bike . I hated the shock n tires I changed that within the first week of its delivery.. I hate the signal placement, the seat is great tho. In guess what ? I went n got the rcr and have the same hates .. for the price onyx can do more I mean you can get a decent gas bike for the rcr price of shout 6k total shipping etc u can get a 2024 ninja that goes over 100mph with no range issue and it’s a good machine.. ppl spend thousands upgrading their rcr on top of the stock cheap parts .. the onyx rcr is like a grom.
@@ThePlanet_L.I. Maybe you are right. I had looked at the Hyperscrambler2. The Bandit, for $500 more, gets you 5-6 mph higher speed, and a legit street legal moped (if your state ever cracks down in these illegal machines). I’ll have to compare again.
@@lucklessleenyc nah man, it came out great. Doing those review videos is mad work 😅. If the 360 is a pain, try the single lens mode. It’s actually pretty damn good lol
But the light is ok u don’t want to be draining ur range with a light when u can mount a chargeable aftermarket light take the battery off n charge it n replace
For a bike that’s $5k+, this company should have superior customer service. A little ridiculous you have to upgrade a $5k electric bike. Looks fun but at that price and the customer service just seems like more risk than reward.
Haven't had any issues with customer service and really you are gambling with this, not them. They put it together for you.. 5k isn't a lot. Are we talking used dirt bikes here or new electric bikes, a good petrol bike brand new will set you back 10-20 grand. 5k is entry level cost. Up to you how much you wanna upgrade. And with any ebike the stock battery is typically something you'll want to switch out for something better.
You do regret it, I'd go for the surron over the onyx. Ever since thay came out with there bikes it's always been like that, that's why most people go for the surron. I'm a scooter guy so my daily commute is a vsett 10+r. Hay still you ride the shit out it so personally who give a 💩👍👊💪🤔😁❤️
@@Marrk117 honestly the only thing that makes a Sur ron a off road bike is the tires and the fact it’s a mid drive but other wise plenty of people have mid drive electric street bikes.
Man I had the same problem with the battery screws protruding through the metal casing. Took it to power lithium have them re-wrap it. End up buying one of their battery now I have 2 72v 50ah and 72v 42ah.. and thanks to godfather John angel 4 the guidance to resolve the problem

I recommend buying from Last Mile in Manhattan 271 west 4th street. They are very helpful
i agree !

Pete from Last Mile that sell the bike is Amazing and a Saint... Soooo Helpful that guy
Damn, I almost bought this bike, literally last video I was gonna watch. Thanks for the honesty.

Great update. Appreciate it. Debating this or a Spark Bandit.
thats a interesting choice my friend.
let me know what you decide !
im doing my Bandit review this week !
be on the look out for that xD
If you live in the NYC area, my onyx is for sale.
Dude get a Juice Hyperscrambler2 for less than what you paying for a spark

Great thorough review man! Super helpful information for those looking to get the RCR.
thank you ! ..i feel bad for not doing a better shoot but kinda coming to terms its not my thing xD

A universal pit light with on off switch I suggest
thanks for making this video
thank you for watching !

Where can i get that frount fender
Thank you
Do you have the problem of the forks hitting the wood when turned all the way left or right? I've seen it in a couple other places.
That is normal in the older versions of the bike
W
this is version 1 right? I think they SERIOUSLY upgraded the version 2 currently selling for like $7500
This is version V1.5 cost about 5.5k new 3.8k used
The company website is shutting down can’t buy new online anymore.
Is the cty2 have the same issues
it doesnt seem like it but at the same thing its such a weaker clone of the bike its kinda senseless to get it..

i def do regret buying the bike. but not because of the bike itself, because of the company.
The surron is for off road
@@Marrk117 Surron can be ridden on the road lol plenty of them here and kitted to be on the road as well.

The onyx is outdated imo e bikes are like cell phones. They need to come out wit a newer model n stop trying to sell this for near 6k n sell it for 4
Wrong. It has bluetooth. Most of the ebikes people pedal around are from 2005 and branded as 2020s. If it has bluetooth it's pretty modern.
@@FoundationsofPause Bluetooth has been around for 25 years now - that alone doesn't make something modern.
@@monsterpartywars2018 being able to connect to the 41ah and 50ah wirelessly without the controller's help is a nice feature. I.Y.K.Y.K.
