The BRZ V8 isn't made from a pair of motorcycle engines. The block and internals are all original, and the heads are based on Kawasaki architecture. It's built by a New Zealand-based company called Synergy.
That scirocco is from Bulgaria. The engine is stroked to 3.2 don't know the exact figure of horsepower but very recently the car broke into 7s in a old runway. It would be much faster in a proper track like Santa Pod

Everytime i see an Ls swap on an Mx-5 i cringe. Dont those people realise how they just ruined the balance of the car? Its useless now, all the weight is in the front, it will oversteer every single time you even think about pressing the gas, and understeer when you dont. Ruined....
search turbotomsgarage and watch his project thunderbolt series... apparently it doesn't set the balance off much because the ls is aluminium and doesn't weigh much more than the stock 1.8ltr
I'd guess folks that do that have a different set of priorities in mind than the Mazda engineers... that being said, it's an FM (Front-Mid) engine mount, so it's not as bad as you might think. Either way, those swaps strike me as funboxes and donut-machines more than performance cars.
