students talking to each other on their own terms sure, the way it may look though is that its an outsider pitting two students against each other in what could be seen as a heated debate with dozens of people watching and they may be worried that it could turn into something more than just a civil conversation. just my thoughts. i don't think they are calling it illegal i think its just they may be worried for better or for worse.

Colleges and educational facilities have brought this same controversy since philosophers were advocating for a pull away from monarchic institutions at those same universities.

I wouldn't blame the disagreement in concept I would blame the bureaucracy and a change in a rigid set of terms. The system is very fearful in changes of terms and sees it in the sense of potential liabilities presented.

Lol, he was feeling the exact same apprehension and emotional excitement that he told the Pro-Gun kid to try and not feel. It was, so very cute, watching him chomp at the bit.
He is a professional in his craft and I majorly respect him for being able to play mediator, sort of, and focus on having a logical and professional debate, whether he agrees with it or not, and that one thing, in my mind, that makes him wonderful. He is great role model for ALL college students regardless of his point of views and opinions. Very mature and commendable.
This is an awesome idea! It's great to see that students can learn to have good debates and conversations with others who don't agree with them. We need more of this in our school systems!

Although you can disagree with the gentleman’s statement , it is a breath of fresh air that he present more than screaming his opinions in the debate
I honestly kinda prefer this, especally where Steven critiques both sides on not just they're facts, but what's likely the most impactful- their ettiquette. This helps them as people and viewers can use this as a sort of explained case study-like material to learn.

I really dig this version of Change My Mind. It's obvious how Crowder feels, he brought the sign. Bringing in two strangers with opposing views and letting them debate then speaking with them yourself afterwards, was pretty interesting.

It's unsafe to make people with different views talk about such hard topics in a environment where they both have to co-exist. Sadly, not all topics are easy to sit down and talk about because these topics are more than facts it's with allot of emotions. Emotions are hard to change, I adore these change my mind but it never ends up with people changing their views. Just people leaving all angry.

I think they are petrified that two students with opposing thoughts might suddenly work out between them that the Marxist Clownfest Professors are actually full of Sh!t...hence the safe space echo chambers that they provide.
You'd be surprised at the proportion of faculty members at colleges who believe strongly in censorship. This example here came off as a fear of some students becoming 'enlightened' (hearing other opinions).
