It's painful to watch because I see so much of myself in her, coming from a scandinavian country and having had this mindset before. Luckily I didn't have to battle with logic and realizing I can't while being filmed in a big group, it just took some intense debates with my now-husband.
I couldn't argue with the gun rights because none of the anti-gun arguments ended up making sense, I was just scared of guns. I couldn't get through the abortion-argument without relying on extreme examples that also didn't end up making sense. It took a while getting through all the topics, but now I believe in personal freedom and being able to think, say and do what you want as long as your actions don't harm other people or step on their rights.

I would use my phone to record every conversation with those people, as nothing they say will age well. Find dirt on them and leverage it how I see fit without them ever knowing it was me. If they're really bad, I'd plant questionable objects on them and make the anonymous call to get them checked out. Nothing that could get them arrested just something to tarnish them, as shame goes a long way in shutting people down. Sounds evil, but they have changed the rules without saying anything, and most are still playing by the old rules. If you have to play a game regardless if you want to or not, you might as well play to win.
I understand where u coming from. When in public I honestly pause before I state my thoughts to someone I'm talking to because some liberal might be around. That's sad AF. I don't get how that makes sense.
1. When you choose to pursue of life of employment rather than starting a business, you ARE valuing security over freedom. Does that mean everyone who doesn't want to start a business doesn't deserve either?
2. Isn't it the essentially philosophy of America that EVERY law abiding citizen deserves freedom, regardless of what their views are? How does what one believes change what fundamental rights they deserve?
3. Isn't that principle absolutist? You can't value freedom *purely* over security, or else you would have to take that to its logical conclusion and advocate anarchy (or minarchy, arguably). It's about balance, the balance between order and chaos, finding the the point where you are as free as you can be while also being sufficiently secure.

America’s main foundation is the idea of liberty yes, but liberty has its price. If one is given the choice between freedom from governmental tyranny (where one can prosper through hard work) or security through a massive government (which usually doesn’t work and results in governmental abuses of power) the noble choice is always liberty - yes, at the cost of security and even at the cost of life . 3. That balance is up to the individual, the government’s role must be to protect life, liberty, and property. All else is in the hands of the people .

Therefore there is no objective standard to decide what is hate speech from others, and no objective standard to determine how much punishment should be given for something subjective. Progressives and conservatives share completely different beliefs. Progressives are pro-abortion, conservatives are anti-abortion. Progressives are pro-gender theory, conservatives are against gender theory. Therefore if hate speech was punishable based on the subjective hurt someone felt, progressives would all be reporting conservatives for hate speech against human rights like abortion (which has been happening for a very long time) and conservatives would be able to get all progressives arrested for hate speech against fetuses and themselves. Any subjective hurt you feel is not objectively hate speech just because it directs a group that you might be a part of like LGBT.

The big issue is that the federal government has wildly overstepped its Constitutional authority. Cut all these federal programs like welfare and Medicaid and a hundred other things - and let each state manage those types of programs. That’s where nearly all of the polarizing issues of the day belong - at the state level.
This includes Universal Health Care. If you want to make your state more attractive by not having bloated programs that increase taxes, etc. then you elect leadership that reflects that. Businesses and individuals with similar mindsets will be naturally drawn to where their capital is treated best.
Conversely, if you think your state needs to coddle it’s citizens from cradle to grave, you will attracted people with similar ideologies.
