One of your best videos, summarizes all we need to do to be a Cloud Architect. It is rare to find all we need and how all things connect in a single video. I have 8 years of .NET development experience and then 3 years of Data Engineer + Tech Lead experience on AWS and now working as a Cloud Architect for last 2 years. So total of 13+ years in IT. Now as a Cloud Architect, I always feel lack of Network and Data center knowledge. If I see the certificates you mentioned for Networking, it mentions about 3-5 years of hands-on experience in that field. I can't work on networking now but want to understand it for my Cloud Architect career. How do I get started in networking with this background?
To learn networking you can read the Internet engineering task force RFCs, get training from Cisco or Juniper networks or you could take our training. We focus heavy on the network and datacenter as without this knowledge it’s hard to design a high availability mission critical Those certifications require no experience regardless of what’s on the website. Most architects are not togaf certified.
