    Finally found this. Almost nobody makes these videos for Requem, and I kept getting results for the Masqurade

    My second favorite clan of Requiem. I love the idea of the vampire lost to the shadows paranoid looking for patterns in everything around them. Also their chapter on Shadow Cults in probably one of the best I read in any game system.

    reading the expanded lore of Mekhet is quite interesting and chilling; especially the theory of the walking undead spirits.

      They do fear their own reflection and shadow for good reason...

    The whole part about nightclubs gave me a most interesting idea for a Mekhet working as a bartender.

    Caln Mekhet is very interesting. Only having played the clans in Masquerade Bloodlines I feel as if I missed out big time!

    As others have said, you did a very good job playing as a creepy mekhet.

    Again, very well placed within the conceptual contradictions of one of the "roleless" Clan in Requiem. The story of Francis was superbly done while the histories were a bit esoteric in their language. Sadly I put down the book the first time thinking, "Wait...what?" thanks for putting it into perspective, GGtG.

      The Gentleman Gamer Off and on. The best part about LWOD for me was being able to make friends with like-minded folks. I keep in touch with them and try to squeeze in some one-offs.

    Very good! I will point out one thing my friend, only the Hollow Mehket possess the sentient reflections, otherwise the Shadows are no different than the rest of us among the Kindred in terms of our reflections and shadows.

      That is true, canonically, but not according to this Mekhet.

    Your theatrical way of doing videos is fantastic. You come across as not just a role player but a storyteller. I would, however, like to see these videos branch out into Werewolf and especially Hunter. Considering the way the NWoD games can tie together a video on hunter history and culture such as the chestnut street compact could be a great short video series. Even players of Vampire could get to know their enemy better.

    I think the Mekhet get a lot of undeserved flak for being "generic", particularly from people who came into Requiem from Masquerade. I've heard someone say they're just the Lasombra without the style or the Tremere without the substance. Personally I like to think of them as the Assamites done right. The watchdogs of vampire society working undercover as spies and assassins. A hired gun is never suspicious because they're EXPECTED to look suspicious.

      I always thought the Mekhet were kind of like the love child of an Assamite and Losmbra with a touch of followers of set, especially the Khaibit bloodline. sadly, I havent had a chance to play Requiem or Masquerade in a long time.

      And on something said: Mekhet Princes are nothing like the clan they serve. Most cases, I agree. However, one of my favorite NPCs was a Mekhet Voivode who ran a city. He was VERY classical Mekhet, serving his superior until he realized something: if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. So with some words in the right ears, some mayhem amongst local gangs, and he quietly deposed his superior.

    (In character) Oh clan Mehket our so called parent clan, soon the Ordo shall fall and we shall take our rightful place as the scholars of not only kindred but of the lore of the other supernaturals. We claim no allegiance to any covenant nor do we want to rule over the rest of your kind. We just want the destruction of all who oppose us and Dracul is high on the list. The day will soon come when the sun is setting on the horizon that you will here the crys of war. Lupines and we the breath eaters shall take back our homes that we where exiled from. Sanctum will burn, invictus shall break, carthian collapse, crone fall, and Ordo will be wiped out. Do you remember us Mehket? We are the weavers of the thauma and the eaters of dreams and souls. We are the tremere the rightful sorcerers of this world. Prepare for war Mehket. Also great video

    So who would win in a one on one battle to the final death. A Lasombra vs A Mekhet

    • @Jewbear1884
      @Jewbear1884 10 лет назад +2

      That depends on many, many variables such as the character and person playing them, no one vampire is more powerful than another simply because they belong to a specific clan.

    • @darkservantofheaven
      @darkservantofheaven 10 лет назад

      true, it would depend on their stats I guess and how the players were to role it.

    So I play a lot of mage the ascension and awakening best way to deal with selarity a talisman of force that target vampires and change momentum into heat they use selarity and they burst into flames my characters always ALWAYS carry one or two of those talismans they fuck up the mekhet and anything else that uses selarity

    Mmmmm….the Mekhet is indeed an interesting and perplexing Clan of Kindred. Simply calling them creepy doesn’t even begin to cover them at all. I must admit though when I first read about them in the Requiem core book I wasn’t too found of them, mainly when it came to the three Disciplines that were assigned to them. But I’ve “warmed” up to them a little more recently. Now another thing I find interesting and I don’t know why I never though of this before you mentioned it, G.G. If a Vampire came across a human corpse that died of anything other than being drained of Vitae from a Vampire and this Vampire wished to embrace it. Would it matter if the body had been dead for three weeks, three months, three years or even longer that? Like a decade?

    • @shadowlost1976
      @shadowlost1976 10 лет назад +1

      I believe there is a time limit for the corpse. Much like the fifth dot of the Children of Judas's discipline. I believe it's a weekat the most. I'll check tonight when I get home from work
