- Take a seat, grab a drink and a snack, and get comfortable as I spin you a tale. A story of a Gen X Dad, who in the space of a year, went from having no idea what a "One Piece" is, to meeting with other OP content creators across the globe.
Dad was inspired to make this video after a fun-filled visit with @DesnestheDwarf Put on your thinking caps as we deep dive back into the One Piece Live Action!

"Hawkeyes" is his epithet. One Piece loves using them (likely cause it feels very in-line with how Pirates were named irl.)
So you'll get "Red-haired" Shanks, "Straw-hat" Luffy, and "Hawkeyes" Mihawk.
In the live action you could see this when Buggy introduced himself with a bunch of names he's supposedly known by:
"The Genius Jester"
"The Bombastic Clown"
Etc.

@@PorkChopsRiceandPeachesthere's a few more introduced in the East Blue that we've seen: "Iron Mace" Alvida, "Pirate Hunter" Zoro, "Axe-Hand" Morgan, "Red Leg" Zeff, "Iron Fist" Fullbody off the top of my head. There's likely a few more!

Hawkeyes Mihawk its kind of a Palindrome since (Me/Mi) =Eyes
For me, I always use the epithets of future characters as a way to avoid spoilers while also letting people make their own guesses on who to expect.
The Cotton Candy Lover, the Demon Child, the White Hunter, the Heavenly Demon, the Snake Princess, the Surgeon of Death, & so many others.
I hope you watch the anime episodes for that mountain climb after your done with the arc
I think it’s one of the scenes where the anime portrayed it better than the manga
The weight/ emotions are palpable

26:12 in japanese The treasure is spoken two ways. Wan Pisu(One Piece) and Hitotsu Nagi no Daihihou (the Great Treasure of One Piece) unless you see the Original Or hear the Japanese Dub you cant really tell which one Oda used.

As for the one piece oda when we were far away said that he saw many theory in the internent to see if anyone got close to it and if so he would change the one piece to surprise ofc he said as well that if we are really close to the end he will not change it even if ppl found out
Yeah Chopper is the make it or break it for the Live Action. CGI Chopper would be too expensive and a kid actor would age too fast. I personally would want a “little person“ actor with practical effects to play chopper.
Or a puppet like Grogu from The Mandalorian
I really enjoyed season 1 and cant wait for season 2. Having said that, I think they did not manage to portray zoro‘s character accurately imo (at least at this point). He comes across as too cool and mysterious, while lacking the simple minded and often kind of choleric aspects of his personality.
I need him to catch up asap so that he can make a video with mama drawk
I disagree with 'pirates means something different in this world' because a lot of the preconception we have about real world pirates come from outside sources saying that they're evil, they're wicked, they're bad. A lot of things that is said about lots of marginalised groups. A lot of pirates were gay, or escaped slaves, or other noncomformists for instance, and they had nowhere else to go or be and being pirates was the only way not to get persecuted by the rest of the world. Now, did they go around raping and pillaging? A lot of them probably did, some of it may have been propaganda, but sure many of them did - not that much different than the 'good guys' of the time though. I'd even say that if you look at the pirates in the context of the time period, they were probably a lot more forgiving, welcoming, and nonjudgemental than the people in power. This is part of the lens Oda is trying to hold to, not only pirates, but all groups that are painted as evil by those in power who's word we take for granted. There are good pirates and bad pirates. Love the discussions!

I'm 931 chapters in and halve the time I don't know what Noah is implying. Very much doubt that Richard has to worry that his son would spoil the story. Excited to see the discussions still to come.
Whe don't know if Shenks was offered the worlord position but what whe know about him whe could guess so especially what whe know about his background

The two I know of (both manga reactions) is Merphy Napier, who is a booktuber who was new to manga at the time, and is now reacting to the latests chapters.
And the Drawk Show, which is an English teacher mom going through the series with her son (who is up-to-date), that one is audio set to a drawing, though. So you're not physically seeing the discussion that's occuring (just hearing it.)

Im sorry but can you please stop using adobe enhance.. the artefacts and the lack of air breathing really bothers me, i prefer the more narural sound of previous episodes honestly
@gabrilapin definitely going to try to phase that out. The new lavalier mics and camera helped so much, but added a lot of new challenges.
Actively working on finding the proper mic balance so I can avoid enhance altogether
