Yeah let's move to Canada, they're nice up there
Meh, we’ve had our fair share of shootings as well. But yes, a lot less then the States for sure.
Monica Isabelle Canada still has problems. Even if it’s not in gun control.
Sadly, a few hours ago, there was a mass shooting at Nova Scotia, Canda. So, I guess that statement is debatable.
Can confirm im in Canada but Canada still had some big shootings
We literally had an attempted school shooting in Sylvan Lake not even two years ago, Canadians aren't that Nice

A week or something after this happened I was going to an art class that was in another city (still close though) and my mom was telling me that there are probably no more good people in this world because of this event but when we got to the tollbooth, the guy running it said that the guy ahead of us paid for us and he handed us a piece of paper. It said that we should do one kindness for every victim.

I'm getting really tired about all these other users saying "BE LIKE AUSTRALIA" or "AMERICANS IS OBSESSED WITH GUNS" not every American wants to walk into a school, or any place for that matter, and shoot innocent lives. I scrolled to the comment section to see some comments respecting the kids who died too soon, but I found some real jerks discriminating Americans for something one pyscho did. R.I.P to those kids.
at this point, it's not one pyscho anymore. it's multiple.

what is wrong with that person? whats the point?
They were mentally unstable and decided to take there anger out on teachers and children. Maybe something happened to them as a kid. Idk. It’s still fucked up though
Adam Lanza had Asperger’s and he wasn’t right in the head, he loved video games and played DDR everyday hes got a lot of issues you’ll have to research it cause I don’t want to type it all out

WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS IN THIS WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CODxxCITY some people are mentally unstable and depressed. So they take out their anger on others. It’s the US government’s fault that we have to worry about this stuff all the time because they never care for the mentally unstable. The system is just as broken as the mentally unstable.

Its not the guns that kill, its the pyscho.
More guns do not solve a problem started by guns

almost 10 years later and it's only gotten worse
Yeah bro I’m here too
To be entirely honest, I think this incident is a perfect example of why America needs to focus on the mentally sick and mentally unstable. This isn't about guns and this isn't about any type of rights in owning lethal weapons or not; this is demonstrating how we ignore the people who have things wrong with them and need help. We need to push for better systems concerning mental hospitals, and psychiatric offices.
I agree to an extent
I agree. And I think a lot of people think that if we just take away guns than this will stop. But bad guys don’t listen to many laws and you think they listen to a no gun law to. You think they won’t find a way to get that type of weapon. Then the people have nothing to defend themselves with.
Yeah cos theres still a thing called a knife
So other country doesn’t have mentally ill? trust every country have psycho but our psycho can easily get guns. Not even anti gun just more control so psycho don’t get a gun that easily
8 years later its definitely about guns.
Why go for kids infact why go for anyone? :'(

Its sad, because everyone doesnt feel safe going into school or work anymore. Those kids most likely are still scared to go to school, I know everyone in Watertown Connecticut are scared to go to school and we all live 15 minutes away
So many kids have lost futures...memories that could have been made. People that do this WILL rot in hell. If I could I would take my heart right out of my chest so all those little kids could have a life of there own. Please like if you feel the same
so glad I live in Canada where we don't have this fear. The Oscar Pistorius case seems crazy to a lot of people but we don't understand that the fear they live with is different from ours. Living in Canada I have almost no fear
Those kids were probably sweet and adorable and they shouldn't have died because of what a man did. RIP for the children and for the parents, your children had a wonderful soul and they did not deserve what came to them. The survivors are probably really traumatized by the experience so I pray for them to get better and I also hope they will remain in touch. I pray for all the souls that went to heaven that day.
And it happens again to 19 more children and their teacher 10 years later
The way that Alix said "My parents didn't do that to me" made me sad. I could hear the pain and regret in her voice. It took me back to Columbine and how my parents were so passive even though I was upset and wanted love from them.
Same, my mom cared but for the victims
I know how you feel and I know how she feels. I was fifteen when this happened and it broke my heart when I first heard about it...
A lot of people defend legalised guns by saying "Guns don't kill people, people kill people", but that's a ridiculous argument.
The idea that "people kill people" is definitely true of course, so why on earth are we letting them have guns?
frederik vedersø it's not about the greater good it's about liberty, the government has no business telling anyone what they can and can't own
Even if you take away the guns. People like that will still find a way to commit mass murder
@@PapaNurgle1 You joined 2 days before the shooting...

In the United States, the majority undertakes to supply a multitude of ready-made opinions for the use of individuals, who are thus relieved from the necessity of forming opinions of their own.
Alexis de Tocqueville
Watching this 10 years later, and after the shooting in Uvalde, Texas, this is still very much relevant today.
I am here after the Florida school shooting. I just wish people would stop with killing kids. And people in general. But especially when it’s kids, because they were so innocent, they had everything to look forward, they had graduations and weddings and new chapters in life, and christmas’. And they did nothing because there lives were stopped. Right in their tracks, no warning. My prayers are STILL being sent to the families of the lost children and teachers. Thank the lord for those teachers who shielded those kids. They saved many and so many are thankful for their selfless actions
I am traumatize
even though I was not in the shooting
Its still traumatizing
Being from Connecticut, this was a huge shock to all. I live just half an hour away from Newton. I was just in kindergarten when this occurred so I was wondering why everyone had become even more overprotective of me. Parents not only in my community but all over the U.S. were scared for their children, even more so for the little ones who don’t know what to think for themselves. Rest In Peace to all the victims and families who were effected by this tragedy.
This is insane coming back to this. A lot of the kids who were in the shooting from Newtown are of highschool age, or were a few years back and it was always weird for us to play against them in sports knowing that they were victims of a school shooting. Hopefully they can escape the trauma and lead somewhat normal lives.
Sadly even the youngest of the victims would be 14 years old now
Okay, I'm just gonna go off on a tangent. I know it's been a few years since this happened, but I'm still slightly scared to go to school. My town is only like, two or the towns away from Newtown, and I was one of the first few kids in my school to know about the shooting. My mom grew up in Newtown, and she was surprised that someone could do that in such a small town. Every few weeks we have drills to see what we would do if something like this happened again, and every time I'm terrified that it's real. Just imagine coming home from school one day, and your mother hugging you while she's crying. That's terrifying, especially since you knew what happened... Thanks for taking the time to read this. And yeah. Bye.
I and surely others appreciated what you shared.

kawaii angie sis was trying too hard to be quirky I-
I remember watching this vid when I was younger and hating her for saying that
My feelings have still remained that way like that was so unnecessary to say-
My teacher from kindergarten was pregnant and we were singing along with her when she had a phone call , after a few moments she went on the floor crying and yelling NO! multiple times .
Almost ten years later while talking with my mother I suddenly remembered this and asked her what had happened , she told me that her sister got killed in Sandy Hook , I was shocked
I live in Connecticut and my school had police there for weeks and now we have cameras and alarms and none of our teachers where aloud to tell us so we didn't get scared.
Coming back to say the survivors are graduating this year
wtf why would you make this
Aw...That is very sad

It's not the guns fault. It's the shooter.
Almost 10 years later and here we are again. Wonder how they feel about Robb Elementary
Ok well obviously I live in a diff state cuz we have cops at our school and have to wear Ids and if we are late we have to show our Ids to get in /.\
Here after the shooting in Uvalde. When are these politicians gonna realize CHILDREN ARE NOT EXPENDABLE! I graduated in 2012. This shooting was during my first year of college. 10 yrs later we are STILL IN THE SAME GODDAMN SPOT! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

It is 2022 now. These teens probably have families now! Would love to get an update on them!
This story is sad. I think Obama is a good guy even tho I don't agree with him sometimes but the one thing that he did that pissed me off is the gun law. It's not the guns that kill it's the ppl
I live a few towns over from Newtown and my english teacher has a daughter who went to the Elementary school. I can still remember her running out of the classroom bawling her eyes out when she got a call about the shooting. Thankfully her daughter wasn't injured or had seen anything, but it is still reminds us how much we take life and our loved ones for granted.
the girl what has long blond hair and is wearing a red shirt is honestly the sweetest kindest person ever 🥺
yes but the one with the ring on her nose is honestly selfish, i know it has been years since this vid was made. But i hope she has changed otherwise she is a sick human being.
It gets at me. What if- what if it was my sister? My sweet, 7 year old sister? Sure, we don't get along at times, but for her to get shot? Or, or if it was my friend? Another family member? Oh god...
If i didnt look at the date of when this was posted i would think this was posted recently, this is so sad that were not moving anywhere in this subject. Its just so sad that this is the world we live in.

Personally I agree with take an aptitude test! I don't feel like that's a horrible price to pay for having a bit more saftey! But then we run into how easy I can hop on line and look up private gun owners that are willing to sell me there gun without a background check! But taking my 2nd Ammendment righr is definitely a NO NO! And like one of them said it's not the gun that kills it's the Person Behind The Gun!
13:44 I agree with guy in pink shirt…nothing has changed after all these years so it’s safe to say this is where we are headed
This makes me really sad I'm literally getting watery eyes just by writing this but on Halloween 2014 a student from my middle school and her two friends got ran over in a hit and run and...died... I didn't really know her but just that morning I had talked to her for the first time. A couple days later at her funeral a lot of media was there and I believe that was wrong. One reporter asked me if I may be interviewed I denied and told them to leave. How dare they ask people if they may interview...
“He’s a victim of society the same way the kids are a victim of him” this hit me hard😢
I was so sorry for those little kids that were shot and the ones that weren't because they were traumatized for the rest of there little lives. And my mom his it from me and I found out at school I was so scared, sad, and mad at my mom for not telling me I cried the entire day.
2022 now and nothing has changed 💔💔 there were 42 shootings alone in 2021.
Guns aren't dangerous.
People's mental issues are.
Get the people help.
Only allow security to have guns.
Honestly, getting rid of guns would make the people find another weapon. Knifing, axes, flamethrowers, bombs. Many weapons are out there. Thank the lord nobody uses them.
Get mentally ill people help. Maybe everyone gets an evaluation once a year or twice a year. Worth the effort and time.
I used to live near Newtown. I can't imagine how heart broken everybody is. America has gone through too much in the past 10 years. We need to come together and do something about this. We should NOT be scared to go to work, to a movie, or school. It is hard to think about this and it is very sad. In school, a week after the shooting at the same time of day it happened, the entire school had a moment of silence. I pray for the families and hope that one day America will be at peace.
