I saw your chicken tractor in the background, showed this video to my son, and he is building one just like it for me and his 14 yr old daughter. (They are here from NC in their RV and we have 4 week old chicks!! YEAH!) I also see the very nice cattle panel trellis connecting two garden beds. What do you have now for a green house for starting your farm market seedlings?
The chicken tractor in the video was at the first tractor I made a few years ago and it started falling apart a bit, so I’m using it as a section of the chicken tunnels I just expanded across our yard. I try to reuse as many things I can to do things as cheaply as possible, I’ll probably do a video on my new chicken tunnels because I think they’re neat and they seem to make the birds happy. Yes the cattle panel I am excited for I have good plans to use them this year in the garden for growing vertically. For the greenhouse I have a very small 8x10 greenhouse, I got it from a cheap kit on Amazon. It has a zipper door on the front and on the inside I have shelves for my seed trays. It works, but I wish it was bigger. I plan to get a large tunnel for the farm this year that’s 16x100 feet long which would cover almost half my market garden beds. Enjoy your time with your visiting family!
It will be fascinating to see your new builds both for the chickens and the farm market! YOU WILL BE BUSY between going to Market in Harrisburg, finishing your "Barn Home", and putting up a large poly tunnel!!@@onceuponatinyfarm
They can be useful but they weren’t useful the way I tried to use them. I stacked them too high, they should only be 3 high at the most, and I’m only using them for flowers and herbs this year. I do think Greenstalk is by far the best. You get what you pay for.
@@kmorri9I am growing lettuces in the greenstalk leaf planter this year. I haven’t tried lettuce in the dollar tree planters but I do think they would work as long as you had a good potting soil that held on to a lot of moisture because they are shallow pots and dry out quickly
That is so cool! I’ll be interested to see how they do. Thank you for sharing. Your kids are the cutest! Val C
Thanks so much! These videos will make great memories to look back on when they’re grown

Did you find the Dollartree planters useful? I’ve seen other brands of vertical planters and I’m guessing the Greenstalk ones are the best?
