Had one of the standard IMCO lighters as a teenager. NEVER did it let me down, even when working outside in diabolical weather. But have not seen this model before, so thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your comment! IMCO lighters are truly reliable, and it’s great to hear about your experience with one. This model is indeed a bit rare, and I’m glad I could share it with you!
Tuning in from the United States. Absolutely loved your IMCO. The trench lighters and other old European lighters are so much more interesting than our American Zippos. I still love Zippos, but I definitely prefer that IMCO. Thank you S & R.
My mother had a lighter just like that. I thought it was fascinating. Dad brought it home from West Germany in the 1950s. I'm from Tucson , Arizona, USA.
@Re-flame 5 zippos, a german Karl wieden table lighter from the 1930s, two imco junior, three imco triplex, and the two imco gunlite,a fisher table lighter from canada, from the 1970s, three old lighters,i think ,they're from the 1940s,they look like the soldiers lighters from germany, ww2,in german landser Lippenstift, funny Name.
@TobiasThede Wow, that’s an impressive collection! The variety of lighters you have is amazing, especially the historical pieces like the Karl Wieden and the WW2-era soldier lighters. Do you restore any of them, or do you prefer to keep them in their original condition?
@Re-flame if the wick and cotton are original, i only clean The lighters, and reuse the original parts, and i did not polishing old lighters, i keep the original Patina.
@@Re-flame well, if you ever come across another one, I would be interested in purchasing it from you. My husband would be floored by a gift like this!
No, but my little brother (later a Colonel in the USAF) decided that he would not be seen if he played with matches while hiding in the narrow space between the bed and wall. Of course, the bedcovers caught on fire and when my Mother saw him running from the kitchen with a pot of water she investigated and our house was saved. Then there was the time he..............

What a story! 😄 It’s good that your mom acted quickly; otherwise, things could have ended much worse.
