Wow.. I just realised the album they were talking about at the end would eventually come to be Nightmare... it’s pretty sad that they couldn’t finish it with Jimmy beside them.
@@ashutoshgoit9540 I dont know man, steves old. old = experience. experience = skill. If you were to compare them at the same age i think syn would probably be better. Syns chops have improved immensely.
Steve vai's technique is far better and more relaxed than any of the guitarists that i know of. Maybe only Shawn Lane can more more relaxed than steve vai. BUT in terms of writing, i like syn a lot more than vai. I can listen to a few vai tunes and that's it. But syn wrote really great memorable solos that i'm certain will be remembered for decades.
"Angus Young" "Slash". If you take out the "G" and "Young" "Angus" you'll have "Anus "Slash", And if you put the "Young" part in front of "Anus" you'll get "Young Anus Slash". I have a pretty mind xD
Pantera-Dimebag-guitar, slipknot-paul grey-bass,suicide silence-mitch lucker-vocals, a7x-the rev-drummer.....RIP, i bet theyre all jamming together in the afterlife
well i can really finally understand where syns style came from when he said those 3 names off the bat then added in vai. because gates really does have a huge range in style and dime was definitely the source for his sharp shredding side along with vai whereas slash is his source of his ballad-type solos like gunslinger. petrucci is definitely clear in a lot of his more complex (and not necessarily fastest) solos as well as his lead melodies that he puts in with verses. so i can really see how these players all made him what he is. i agree, dimebag isnt my cup of tea but combine him with petrucci and slash and you get a great player. and that great player is synyster gates
Dime was a guy that found his style quickly and honed in forever more. If he would have wanted to play ANY style he wanted to, trust me, he very well could have, but instead of doing six-fingered sweep picks and Malmsteen type "more is more," Dime was a very tasteful, southern, and symmetrical player. His rhythm playing is actually what sets him so far apart from most guitarists. Usually, people can do one or the other, a la Hetfield/Hammett.
Something about these guys which I think is awesome is that they are so well spoken, and if you ever hear syn talk about his solo's or his playing, he knows everything about his neck, and about the notes and he knows which notes sound good together and everything its awsome
Syn is the one of the best metal guitarist of this era In my opinion, every note he plays comes from a deep place and he knows how to play pretty much everything, just an all round beast of a guitar player
I was inspired by a lot of guitarists, but these are my Top 5 (No particular order) - Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen) - George Harrison (The Beatles) - Jimi Hendrix (Jimi Hendrix Experience) - Eric Clapton (Cream) - Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin)
Well, they haven't started it yet, but like Zacky said at the end of this interview, they're gonna start working on it soon and hopefully it'll be out by next spring. It was rumored all over the internet that about 3 weeks ago they released a new song that played for 10 minutes on both the band's website & MySpace. Only the people who were on 1 of the 2 websites during the 10 minutes heard it. Zacky supposedly mentioned it in a recent interview. The song title is "Unwind the Chainsaw."
Its strange because I hear a lot of Slash and Marty Friedman influence than Vai and Petrucci. Some of the guitar solos sounds slightly exotic like Marty and Seize the day sounds like a GnRish influenced song.
:0 what about buckethead? D: lol, i love the way syn tries to sorta, avoid the question or, come up with something witty cause zacky's laughing at him haha
See here is what I think A7x should do. Make this new album a 100% Rev. tribute then release the Pinkly Smooth Unfortunate Snort album Remastered with the new album. Syn had talked about releasing that I think they should bundle it with the new album. They should also title the album Tholomew!
I'd really love to meet Syn in real! If there was anything I could wish for, It would be to meet him! ^^ He's my favorite guitar player as well. I just love how he plays his guitar and has fun as well!
if im not mistaken, the tour is over now, i think the last tour date was the 2nd of august, im hoping for another crazy afterlife type of solo on the new album
I'm here because i'm wonder who is his favorite guitarist like i guess for no any reason. What a coincidence he said VAI! yeah that's "STEVE VAI" my guitar hero!!!!!
anyone noticed when zacky speaks he usually doesnt look in the camera or at the guy asking questions...he just looks at the floor like hes kinda shy haha
"our drummer has a great voice too"...
He died the exact year this video was posted.
Man, i feel bad for them... :(
#foREVer
Me too man🙏🏻❤foREVer
Super Saiyan Synyster Gates.
super syaitan
I bet he plays faster that way you know
And the cosplayers are wearing a wig... 😪
I like how syn said slash, john petrucci and all of them ... he's not cocky. He knows he's not the best. But ... He's fucking amazing
GodzCrispy I disagree with him.. I think he is the best
A great player, certainly not the best
he is the best.
Jimmy did have a beautiful voice.
Yap. The scream before the solo in afterlife is amazing... Rip Jimmy
He did🙏🏻🤘🏻
Wow.. I just realised the album they were talking about at the end would eventually come to be Nightmare... it’s pretty sad that they couldn’t finish it with Jimmy beside them.
Synyster seems like real nice and genuine being 😍
Syn is one of my favorites. He's prob the best modern day guitarist.
Gates is a beast, but as a "modern day guitarist" Petrucci would slaughter him
Clearly this guy has never listen to Vai
Not even close...
He's top 5 for sure but I'd say Buckethead is tje best modern guitarist.
@@lprxsylo3324 Bucket isn't exactly an actual guitarist... but ok.
SYN THE HEDGEHOG
When he said, " No one's better then Steve vai",I was like, have you looked in the mirror and how you play guitar?
Successful Failure ??????
Successful Failure Steve Vai destroys Gats with his pinky.
@@ashutoshgoit9540 I dont know man, steves old. old = experience. experience = skill. If you were to compare them at the same age i think syn would probably be better. Syns chops have improved immensely.
@@duckspy436 yeah, I mean Syn is 39 years old and he's way better than most guitarists in the 80s

Petrucci and Syn are my favorite guitarist. Both inspire me in so many ways, from Syn's awesome harmonies and to Petrucci's. Their awesome.
For real, Syn must go through 6 cans of hairspray A WEEK
this was his Nikki Sixx phase 😂
Look at Zacky's eyes OMG! I wonder when he had the time to get some sleep!
Is funny how in the subtitles they put a "/" instead of Slash haha
''our drummer has a great voice even''
feels man, feels... :(
i love how they mentioned Alexi laiho as one their favorites CX Alexi is bae
+Diego Archuletta Me too! Damn it, my two fav guitarists is Laiho and Gates :D
@@Gagatek13133 Same, my two favs 🤘. Don't know what Alexi thinks of Syn 🤘
Hes cool but where did he fall off? Is he in a cave somewhere?
Now it’s RIP Alexi, shit sucks
im so glad he mentioned the guitarist from children of bodom, because he IS AMAZING .along with syn, they are my fav guitarists.
I never regret idolizing John Petrucci, Steve Vai and Synyster Gates as my top 3 favourite guitarists
Buckethead, Dimebag, Angus Young and Slash

Sir Randall Rhoads and Sir Zakkary P Wylde. Señor Synyster. My favorites of all time
when can we expect a new Avenged Sevenfold album?
Syn: When Shadows writes it
hilarious
I like him even more knowing he respects the Petrucci. Slash was also a classy choice. Not sure on Dimebag though, but to each his own.
well i can really finally understand where syns style came from when he said those 3 names off the bat then added in vai. because gates really does have a huge range in style and dime was definitely the source for his sharp shredding side along with vai whereas slash is his source of his ballad-type solos like gunslinger. petrucci is definitely clear in a lot of his more complex (and not necessarily fastest) solos as well as his lead melodies that he puts in with verses. so i can really see how these players all made him what he is. i agree, dimebag isnt my cup of tea but combine him with petrucci and slash and you get a great player. and that great player is synyster gates
Not sure on Dime? Go listen to Cemetery Gates for emotion. For ridiculousness, go listen to Throes of Rejection....
not saying he cant, just thats not what i think of when i think of dime. to me i kinda just imaging him for his thrashy ways
Dude Dimebags a friggin legend.

Syn looks SO damn good!!
"we have unique voices.." yes indeed!! damn unique. love em!
I think Zacky has the funniest
loudest laugh out of all 4 of them. xp
Syn inspired me to play guitar and still inspires me to keep playing and play as much as I do.
Love the Lexi shoutout. Because he is arguably top 5 of all time, a fuckin legend. RIP Lexi.

True man💯
Stevie Ray Vaugn, Jimi Hendrix, Syn and Zacky V
The first video in which I noticed Synyster's smile is exactly like his father's smile :T
3:46 you are going to write a whole song too man, that will bring alot of people to tears....
Zacky's response to every question start with a "ohh maaan..." and some time a "oh man...like"
i think Mustaine and Friedman were one of the best combinations ever.
TheAbstractHero After Jason and Friedman, ofcourse.
His hair looks so cool man
Jason Becker and John Petrucci for me
Oh my God, Syn at 1:54... That cracked me up for some reason...
the rev was still alive, they are all so happy :I

I don't know what the thing is, but Synyster has that thing Dimebag had in whenever they're on guitars
Rai is from FF8 he just comes out as a filling in character in Twilight town cause they are Seifer's best friends in FF8
His hair is awesome, so is Zacky's. and btw, we're not looking at how they look. We're talking about their personalities and their playing.
