Glad you're enjoying your fantastic engine, life is about getting the most out of every day and helping others, iam sure that engine saved countless lives in her service days.
Awesome video, have watched a few of your fire engine now, the one where you were struggling with the ladder release and cab tilt to remove the battery etc made ne chuckle and then at the end when you discovered the siren that was epic! 😎👍😁 So what's your plans for it? Are you going to take it to shows and display it? Is it your everyday driver? Great for doing the shopping or school run! Have you took it through a McD's drive thru yet? And commuting, if you're late for work a quick blast on the siren to clear the road ahead lol 😁 I don't suppose it's cheap to run fuel wise and parking could be a problem! But I remember when I was at school another kid used to get dropped off in a fire engine sometimes, his dad was a fireman, this was well before anyone used to get driven to school, so it caused quite a sensation and was quite a talking point lol 👍😎😁 I guess you could recover some costs by hiring it out for birthday parties etc stag parties, hen nights lol even do trips out in it etc 😎👍 Glad it's been saved from the scrap heap, it's far too good to scrap! 😎👍
The retarder works by a magnet on the axle/gearbox. The more electrical current given to the magnet the harder it works. And they work best at higher speed. Coaches and buses have them. My coach has 5 settings on a stalk beside the steering wheel. Where as most lorries have an exhaust brake. That restricts the exhaust gases then making the engine slow the vehicle.
It is not a lorry! This is Dennis fire engine! Got class. I am sad that they are no more. You choice is German trucks or American units. This was built as a fire engine from classics up. Not a converted lorry.
The Only Thing I'm going to say is that You give This Truck The Respect That it Deserves because it Saved a lot of lives in its Life time & Hope That if You Donate it Donate it to a Volunteer Fire Brigade Please & Thank You.
Don't worry the gauges will stop working soon... It's a dennis 😂 Don't let the fuel drop below a quarter of a tank, not the most accurate in the world...
On our fire station in the netherlands we had a dennis rapier i loved the sound of the engine but yeah things comes thing goes now it is in aregtinia and we have 2 scania’s i live in putten the netherlands
Please do not drive with your thumbs inside the steering wheel. If you hit a bump violently enough, the wheel may turn so wuickly you cannot get your thumbs out & they may break. Not a pleasant experience.

I would love to drive that Dennis Sabre fire engine. It looked so cool. It's shame I don't have the qualifying driver's license for it.
No licence need to drive it on private land
Loved the video, next time could you try and get some water through 👍
FF Capes we are already working on a big episode regarding water and the pump. Its going to be great.

"Absolutley brilliant to drive, everything works" - Clearly someone who has never had to drive Dennis vehicles on a regular basis.....
Alex everyone has been saying reliability is terrible on a dennis. Am looking forward to what ever she throws at me.
Can you drive on a normal car licence please?
The Kush Puppie hi unfortunately due to its gross weight of 13ton it would require a hgv class 2 or higher license.
