And now, 2 and a half Years later this review on 4 vs. 5 Wheels becomes even more Important with this big Variety of 5 wheel Setups from Wizard and even so many other Brands that Copy it. Thank you very much for this. Right now, that you are posting lots of 5 wheel viedeos and you are getting into it even more, it would be gold for us that dont have both setups, if you could make a new Video with your personal thoughts about 5 vs. 4 Wheels!
Love your Videos, always inspiring, keep up
Great bro. You are my favourite skater
Would love to try out the nr 100s. Hopefully one day! Nice breakdown of the differences between frames. Very interesting.
Pre-ordered mine a little while ago. I cannot wait to go pick them up :D
PR is the business. Figure skate blades have the same thing, they call it a “compound rocker”. I think it forces better technique in strides
So well put together, blessed
Interesting video as usual! Thanks for the information. It's a brilliant idea that you had to put some sliders in your inner sides of skates. I always wonder why do manufacturers not realize that the inner side is as vulnerable as the outside one... Maybe they don't want the skates to get hooked to one another? But still, they could find a way to harden that inner part. Not everyone has Shaun's skills to drill the boot and make a special slider!!
Unfortunate about not being able to ride PR for the time being but going back to NR at least has given you (and therefore us) a more balanced insight into the benefits of each design.
McDonals coffee? Common Shaun you deserve better than that.
they have good coffee
theyre coffee rocks
Their coffee is good if ya a dum-B
What would going from a short wheel base 80 frame (RB Twister) to a Wizard pr frame be like? Same speed, but more stable? More or less maneuverable?
You would have to watch your crossovers for sure, clipping a boot at speed on a crossover sucks. Other than that no idea
What's like putting 80 mm wheels on a NR90 frame? Are there noticeable differences other than speed?
Amazing explanation!
Hey, I have an FR1 skate size 13 and I'm realizing that big foot would be happier in a longer wheel base. I realize I'm not UFS, I'm actually looking at the Endless frame for my boot. I'm wondering since the wizard is similar, how it performs down hill. I'm doing like half city, half rec trail. I was originally considering putting a speed skating frame on, but this endless frames wheel base seems like it might be a perfect fit. Also running it as 3/110 flat is awesome. I need guidance please!
Hi im using the endless frames with an FR. Quality quality product. Very2 stable on downhills. It feels similar to a flat frame, but less 'sticky', which makes it manouvarable.
Hi Shaun!! One question: is there the possibility that the lower wheels wears out quicker than the others and the rocker effect get lost? I’ve always concerned about that issue!!!
Can’t wait for my 5x80 frame!! By the way: any rumours regarding when will start deliveries for pre orders ??
This is something I've been wondering about too. This 1 mm difference between wheels, after a few rides, does all that rocker remains as designed? Because wheels wear sometimes unevenly
It depends on how you skate, if you skate without using the rocker to its fullest eventually all the wheels will wear out to the point the rocker wont have the effect it once did, but if you always skate using the rocker the effect will still be there, it gets more defined in my experience as the rocking comes from the frame not from the wheels. The wheels will also wear out to how you skate, so if you ever rotate your wheels you always want to keep the same wheels together.
Such great breakdowns in your explanation. I just got the K2 r100 on order from you guys. I think I'm going to need to pick up some of the nr90s as well. Then my arsenal will be complete! LOL
Great bro !!
Always so enjoy your videos. 😃💪. Will you please discuss more about the “wobble”
You mentioned? I knew the wobbles happens on motorcycles but not inline skates. Speed it happens at, etc? Thank so much!!!
Has Leon produced a PR90? It seems like the obvious compromise? More speed than the PR80 and more maneuverability than the NR100 with equal stability (if not more stability - as it would be lower to the ground.)
I just want to know when I can grab my own 5 wheel setup!
I was wondering if you can adapt wizard frames to a pair of rollerblades twister edge. Thanks for all the lessons, great channel!
Thank you!
thanks for this review... I am considering buying some wizard frames, but not sure which one to buy!
How does the NR90 compare to the NR100. My foots right on the edge of the recommendations. 255mm
The 90 is much more maneuverable. Definitely a good option if you have never skating on wheels 90 or 100 mm wheels.
Shop Task I’m really inspired to try the 5 wheel frames but don’t know how they will go on inclines.
NR90's are amazing with the stock setup. I've tested different frames and I love the NR90. I've tried Kizer Trimax 110mm and didn't like the feel. In addition, I've tried Oysi aggressive frames and didn't like how slow they felt. I've hyped over the PR80's because I didn't see a huge different between speed on 80 vs 90mm if your on flat smooth ground. At any rate, I'm definitely getting the PR80.
Don’t toss out your old five wheel 80s racing frames just yet. Three ce;ter wheels at 80mm and a 76mm wheel one and five
Why this frame is so expensive?
It is made in small batches by hand in the USA with expensive materials. Thanks for the question!
where can i pre order?
I want to put a wizard frame on a true hockey boot or would that be stupid?
So what's the wheels setting (in milimeters) he has on the skates in this video?
100mm
Any advice on rocketing the k2 pr80?
McCafe brand placement ;)
When will they be back in stock?
Should be at the end of the year.. I am also waiting for them
I'm just wanting to know which frames eliminate the majority of cracks in the roads, or uneven pathing slabs and other "anti skater" stuff.
I'm buying in the next couple of days
Speed wobbles have a very different reason to them.
Care to elaborate?
24fps is not attractive. 30fps 1/50th shutter (no, not 180-deg) is the best look. Also, make sure your camera is recording all intra-frame (all keyframes) and not IPB or whatever your camera's brand calls it.
#AndoDePatins Obrigado pelos vídeos.
less drag with less wheels
Let me finish…a 76 front and rear with three 80mm in center and you have a rockered blade. Yes, I did toss two sets of blades. Duh. Shudda watched this first.
Haha. How’s the marijuana in AB these days?
Yeah but you don't drink this shit I'm very worried for you.
Guys what’s the difference between the NR frame and slalom frames? Are there any?
Got the NR100s but really want to try the PR80. Also have Intuition liners but I'm yet to get hold of the Seba boot to complete the puzzle ⛸️
I am a beginner, my height is 178 cm, leg length is 270 cm, please advise me whether to choose NR90 or NR100 for my Seba UFR. Thank you!!!
I've seen Alex ride the NR90 and Sean the NR100 and now it's hard for me to decide.
if you are a beginner, the lower the better.
Damn I think I found slenderman...
