      Hey Todd, it has been a great coincidence traveling to Mallorca with the 24mm… recently i startet Testing the 24mm on the s5 and the tilta float System :)

    Great review Chris! At what stop, of the aperture blades, do you see that the chromatic aberration are gone? Thanks!

      Hi Luca - thanks a lot.
      I guess from stop 2.8 they are hardly visible and barely gone! 4.0 to make sure. But we are talking about shades - you really need to zoom in a lot!

    a 4k 60p crop is what I don't like about these lumix cameras. I've got lumix s 50mm 1.8. I wonder how does it look at 4k 60 with a crop, do u have any videos in that apsc mode?

    • @ChrisKueper
      @ChrisKueper  3 года назад +2

      Hey there! In my eyes the crop is a chance and a downside in one. Ofc you are able to use your lens like 2: 50mm and crop 75-80mm - but sometimes you dont want that crop! So I use lower focal length. I will uplod a 50mm review soon!

      The video capabilities are less extensive, however, the 47mpx S1R does shoot 4K60 with the same framing as its other video at x1.09 rather than the x1.50 of the S1/S5

      @@ChrisKueper I meant, I'd like to see how 24mm 1.8 looks with a crop in apsc mode, as in my 50mm lens 4k60crop is to much, and I also need to get lower focal length lens to reduce it.

      @@fellowcitizen S1R is the same as s1/s5/s1h, all these cameras have the same crop at 4k 60p

      A 24 becomes a 35 with APSC crop, which is a really nice focal length. I m skipping the 24 though and was thinking 18-35-85 for a set of primes for photos.

    Have you tried the Sigma 24mm F2? If you did, how does it compare to this Lumix 24mm F1.8?

      Hey there! Not yet - I guess this is a thing I need to do! :D

      It doesn't. Sigma lenses are secondary to lumix lenses. You can't open up certain features with a non native lens. 90-95% of Lumix camera owners use Lumix or Leica lenses.
