    The best band of black metal of 2000s and 2010s. No imitation comes close in terms of music and lyrics. Great explanation

    I remember hearing in a more recent interview that the reason the original vocalist left the band was because he felt like the band was becoming too "religious and pretentious" while he wanted to stick to more of a satanic raw black metal sound.
    Mass grave aesthetic and diabolus absconditus were originally released in 2005 on two different compilation albums and then got released in later years.

    The recent definitely lacks a certain aura, the progressions on some of the tracks are great, like the title track and Eadem, Sed Alitar, but Our Life is You Death is the first real flop I have ever heard from them personally. I gotta say though that guitar solo is probably the wildest guitar solo i have heard in a while.

    Cool review, but as far I know the political drama is resolved in: Miko is a sick bastard, but the official members of DO need a sick bastard on the vocals... in fact they adore Bataille, and declare there self as "batailleian" band, and this guy was a total anti nazi and anti stalin philosopher, ok... demands mind work, but is a interesting band, on some point the problem is, if you "just" work with a sick bastard, for a truly creepy music, are you "accepting" thier -stupid- political views, or just using this for strictly "art" intentions (that suceed, fucking Miko have a great voice).

    • @Cloven137
      @Cloven137 2 месяца назад

      I would imagine they are beyond this mundane shit. Read one of the new interviews. Actually read both, they are amazing. I am not saying they are not sick... In fact, they seem way sicker than simply being proud of their heritage (oh the horror). I guess it doesn't mean much if you don't believe in God.
