Nobody talks about how the SC28 acoustically compares to the traditional sound of a D28!
Weird looking shape is a huge turn off
@boudibla4011 funny you should say that, I usually don't like cutaway guitars, but for some strange reason I like the looks of the "porsche VW Käfer hump style" SC28e.
Thanks Quinton and Paul. Nice sounding guitar. How does it compare to an SC-18?
I think the asymmetry is helpful in eliminating feedback.
These have really grown on me. Yes, the shape is a departure from the traditional for sure (especially for Martin), but until you have played one you really should reserve judgement. These are great sounding guitars and I personally love the new neck joint. Just goes to show that a guitar can have that "Martin" tone even without dove tails and M&Ts. I did not plug in the one I played at Guitar Center so couldn't tell you about that. Great review guys!
"You gotta plug it in." Teasing us! Seriously I'd love to hear it plugged in because I can't stand the Taylor ES2 on my 414ce.
I think it beutyfull wonderfull sound full and play singel tone so right,
Lee1❤
You guys know if Martin is planning on making an all solid US made SC guitar that's closer to the price range of the 13e/13e special?
They are very nice! I bought the 28 and i love it! love the neck! love the s shape! love the sound!
beautiful vts aged cardboard tone!
Sounds great quinton!! Thanks for the demo
Let me gues no lefthanded version !
Well different and good sound.
These Sc guitars play like butter when playing lead. The action is so low almost impossible to see on other acoustic guitars and the upper fret access is amazing
Great sound. 4k
Its good for lead work
I can't look at a cutaway.
Oh dear, no split bridge/saddle… my Takamine ESN10C has perfect intonation… spot on accuracy… this only does almost 😢
PS I’m not anti Martin, I fell in love with a 1942 D18 which I preferred over the 1930s my friend also had.
