Every time I hear a Martin, I get this image of an old man playing outside a tarpaper shack in Mississippi. You know, that darker midrange just fits the blues. But I think you are right, this one seems a bit "cheery" for a Martin, without being bright. It fits your style.
Same here, I'm really starting to enjoy the sound of OM bodies. At this point, I want to get a quality sounding guitar that also has all the bling like the Cort stars limited, Cort abstract, Yamaha LS36 or LS56, Takamine EF75, etc.
I just woke up and was wanting to listen to something. I always enjoy your reviews and playing. I missed some of your live streams because of work. So I just want to wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thanks for your reviews.
I got a 000-15m streetmaster in a trade recently after seeing you play one. It's a keeper but recently traded my OM off and need to replace it. Gonna go with the MD. YOU PLAY GREAT DUDE!
Hi Jonathan, Once again a great review. I so enjoy these reviews you do. Your knowledge and navigation of the fret board inspires me. Maybe my practicing and practicing will cause something in my brain to turn on that skill. Wishful thinking! Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and stay safe. Thank you Rick....I'm still learning!! Get to know your chord shapes..that will help a lot on your fret navigation.. ruclips.net/video/PUacIJA9hew/видео.html
Hi Jonathan, thanks for good music again. About that Martin OM28 Deluxe ... whaooooo ! Sounds so sweet, as you said, and so beautiful, it seems worth its price. If I was a very good guitarist, I would certainly buy it , along my D35. I actually have a Yamaha LS6 which seems to have that OM size, with solid spruce top , but laminated rosewood back and sides. Of course, tones are not as good as that Martin, my LS6 lacks some highs. But this body size and shape is really a pleasure to play. Thanks again, have a great day , cheers.
@@JonIsJustTooLoud I know what you mean, years ago at Christmas they sent out all sort of gifts, now you don't even get a Christmas card. A sad time of the times we live in, what has happened to the spirit of Christmas?
The Eric Clapton is a 00028 with a shorter scale length with looser strings and a different sound, same exact body as the om28 though, thanks for sharing beautiful sound , I ordered one after hearing you
A wonderfull tune excellent played on a beautiful guitar. Thx for that. What kind of frets, they look like copper on the screen....have a Merry Christmas with your family
Came for the review but enjoyed the playing more 😅. Im considering buying this one or 000 42. I can't decide haha, would you recommend this one over 42? I know 42 blows the standard 28 out of the water but 28MD is a different beast
Any modern fingerstyle guitarists using this guitar? The OM 28 MD specifically has a wider neck than any of the other models. Does it get in the way of playing?
I know you love your D-35. What is your string preference? I finally got one (D35) and I'm experimenting with strings and would love to know what you think. 😊
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Thank you! But I was wondering more about whether you choose Lifespan 2.0, or SP or Martin Marquis, etc. You get such a great sound, just thought I'd ask which flavor of string provides it. Again, many thanks.
I purchased a Taylor 214ce, but i sent it back as the action was too high for me and i couldn't find a way adjusting it apart from using shims which the retailer i got it from could not provide, so stuff it i sent back for a refund. Is the action adjustable on this Martin? it sounds great :)
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Thanks! That means a lot to me coming from you. I've tried the OM-28 MD and was totally blown away with the tone and how incredibly loud it was for a smaller body guitar. Now I'm off to find the best price! Thanks so much for your opinion! Best! John.
@ 5:01 sorry.... it was the 00028 Eric Clapton, not OM28
GREETINGS FROM ANTWERP BELGIUM. YOU ARE THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your song The Road to Bethlehem is my favorite from all that I’ve heard you play. Really sets a mood. Thanks.
Awww.. thank you so much David.✌️❤️

LS56 is $100 more expensive than OM28MD but is just as good as om42md or in some cases better.
Unbeatable tone .... Beautiful! Thanks for the review ..... all the best for the new year!
Thank you Raphael!! God bless you!✌️❤️
As always J.K. you nailed it! Just want to say thanx for keeping it Real! God Bless You Brother
I appreciate that...Thank you ✌♥

Yeah, this song... Touching. It's remind me Richie Blackmore a little bit. Merry Christmas, Jon!
Really!! ✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud I meant Richie from Blackmore's Night period of course. I used to listen him with attention some time ago. Cheers!
Beautiful Martin! I have a 000-15M but I’d love to have that one in my collection 😄
Go for it!!✌️❤️
Superb playing Jontahan, Martin should gift you one as a Christmas present.
All the best for Christmas.
ah...how I wish!!lol

I can’t decide between the Om 28 MD or the OOO 28 MD. Beautiful playing
Thanks!✌❤
I'd really like you to do a review like only you can do with the 00-12-28,12 fret or the 0-12-28 12 fret.
we'll see...

Beautiful review Jonathon. What is the first tune playing with the mandolin as we first see the guitar?
That’s a backing track from RUclips✌️❤️

There are a couple of ways to adjust the action...using shims is just one...This Martin has great action😀

Which do you prefer, OM 28 MD or the 000-42 ?
