That had never happened before because traditionally famous models always had 'a look' that they were celebrated for and stuck to that. Changing it was career death. Linda turned that notion completely on its head.

She is 13 days older than me. We grew up together. And she was stunning. And still is. For all of us going through this aging process, she is still our muse. She has no idea how much we adore her, no matter what she looks like. Thank you for making this video. She's just spectacular.
there's probably some connection between women 'laying it on thick' with the compliments and someone like her feeling the need to get some procedure. We all are destined to fall apart. Some ppl age nicely while others fall apart into a raving lunatic. Not much she can do about it.
@Ronda Corle Ronda, we adore you. A star in the sky, praising another star, a rare commodity these days to find, with all due respect. This is a case for most people. The lack of what would make us appreciated, safe, protected, respected, defended, listened to, and, dare I say, ... loved, has most of us suffer immensely , especially when we see how much of this love goes around us. People who lack i beauty will be treated like beasts and watch others be put on an even higher pedestal like it was some sort of merit to have the bright complexion of a well-fed, anxiety-free person. Ugly people also Crave trust, respect, inclusion, care, and affection.
@@subliminalfalllenangel2108 I think aging is hard on anybody to be honest. Especially, when you have been mostly valued for your looks your whole life.
It’s sad to me that the decades of beauty she was blessed with weren’t enough. Vanity is one of the tools of the devil to lead a soul astray. I pray she’s at peace with herself. It’s a lesson to us all.
I really wanted cool sculpt done after one of my pregnancies. I was all set to do it but an unexpected household expense(sick dog) was taken care of first and I lost interest when I had to start saving again. I'm so glad I didn't do it, Linda's story is one I think of regularly!
I dont think the companies should get away with "it happens to less than 1%". In real numbers this means that if 1000 people get the procedure, "less than 10" will be disfigured for life. It deffo put me off undergoing that treatment (and I was considering it).
Welcome to turning 50 …. Everything in the body changes. Even facial structure changes. Truthfully, it sucks to not even recognize one’s self in the mirror anymore. I don’t eat for days either & the fat doesn’t budge. For me it’s age, not cool sculpting. Edit: and I’m just regular looking. I was never skinny or beautiful, but it really sucks to not recognize my self in the mirror.
She was amazing in the 80s and 90s. Linda E’s famous haircut inspired me to cut my hair like that. She is part of the modeling world where models earned their fame on their own, no famous parents to give them a boost in career like we have now. Love her!
She was literally a chameleon!! She could rock any hair style, hair color, clothing, etc etc! She was def a one of kind beauty. The 90s models were def rare gems in the modeling industry, never again with their be models of their caliber!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯💯💯✅✅✅✅🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
Great story I can relate to her story getting older in a job that you rely on your looks is such a challenge Having to accept aging and gaining weight and knowing it won’t last forever but to have someone disfigure your body is even harder to overcome I hear she is doing better still a legend in my eyes !
Linda Evangelista is absolutely one of the most striking beauties we've known in this era. None of us recognise ourselves anymore, but in her time, she was the ultimate ❤
I would love to be beautiful but it comes with too much pressure. So I'm happy to just be me. Linda is truly one of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. It is sad that she believes she died with the changing of her looks. I mean she is still mind boggling beautiful.
She always had that certain "Sofia Loren" look about her, it must be her Italian heritage. It saddens me, that this stunningly beautiful woman no longer believes that she is. She has had a very successful career based on her beauty, and ability to deliver any look. I hope that she finds herself, after this setback.
Nothing beats a good man who tells you that you're beautiful over a supermodel on a fashion magazine who aims to tell you that you're not. Having said that, Linda Evangelista caught my attention decades ago; she exhuded a poised, classy and mysterious aura. Definitely someone I'd admire had I been in that industry.
The truth is in between, you want validation and appreciation and you want a drop of reality to what extent you no longer look healthy thus no longer beautiful. The 80s and early 90s models were healthy, curvy, drop dead gorgeous. Today the inclusivity went overboard and everyone, literally, everyone is now a model - someone to look up to, someone who makes people want to buy the product, someone who is proclaimed beautiful and desired. When we glamorize mediocrity we become losers.
When I think of haute couture, I immediately think of Evangelista, always have. She is just so striking, so stunning. She actually reminds me of Sophia Loren with those exotic, dramatic, upturned almond eyes. Italian beauty.

I am not against plastic surgery...If it can help you look and feel better, then I'm all for it...I would never do it, tho...I would rather grow old gracefully, as i have never relied on my looks...I'd rather use my intellect...some people who get plastic surgery, become addicted to it and they overdo, and the results can be disatrous: Kim Basinger, Melanie Griffith, Kenny Roger, Pete Burns from the Group " Dead Or Alive." Those are some examples of " Plastic Surgery Disasters." Of course, Linda relied on her looks to make a living, so she really had no choice. I just wish people would just love themselves enough to just let themselves grow old gracefully. Once you get plastic surgery, you can't reverse it ! Please know you are enough !
Linda didn't want to let go of her comfort. I fully agree with you but let's not act like she was helpless with there being some invisible law that states once you become a renowned supermodel you can't get into the regular working force. Sis didn't want to ever face reality and try to maybe attend a college or training for a trade or get into real estate or marketing or business or selling items etc. She wanted to stick to what she knew instead of swallowing the pill that modeling is a young girls game unless you become a tyre banks or Adriana lima or Giselle or even Naomi campbell. She got lost in the shuffle of legendary models who managed to branch out and marry / date into resources & wealth to help expand their brands or become business oriented like tyra and Miranda kerr. She got comfortable and Thai is where it got her.
Also I'd like to say: if she coined "we don't wake up for less than 10K a DAY" then what on earth happened to all those 10ks piling up per gig and show? What happened to her wealth and stability? Heidi Klum is a 90s model who isn't struggling and stayed current.
I used to be against it. I realized that I’m attractive so that’s easy asf for me to say. After seeing how men treat women who they don’t view attractive then I see why. Do your thing ladies. If it gets you what you want in life then jump to it. ❤❤❤
Many people cannot accept change or aging and will blame anything-beauty is fleeting is an often used phrase that typically means that beauty does not last. People grow old and eventually die, flowers wilt and die, and even the most beautiful buildings will one day crumble.
I always considered her to be one of the most stunning of all models. She has such a unique look. The adverse reaction that occurred after her procedure is terrible. This always is in the back of my mind with any and all plastic surgeries or procedures. I have had so many surgical procedures due to medical issues and have had adverse reactions and know that surgeries come with so many risks and complications. Healing, medications, scarring, each body reacts so differently. I would never voluntarily subject myself to any elective procedure. There are just too many factors involved.
@@ElizaDolittle Not only Sofia but she also captured the images of many beautiful famous women. Example there was a "pose" that reminded me of Jane Russell.
Not the same but I remember when my doctor tried to do the gallbladder removal on me. So I did the gallbladder cleanse and they found no stones in my gallbladder in a sonogram 🙃 The sonographer was shocked. I was happy as hell… They’ll do anything for that 💰 Anything🔪🤐🫣
I worked at a spa that did cool sculpting and the girl who trained me said she doesn't get that procedure anymore because she had bad results on her belly
I am sorry for Linda. I remember her from the 90's and her famous or infamous quote about only getting out of bed for a bigger paycheck. I will probably not get any procedures like hers just because the risk does not seem worth it. A truly cautionary tale.
She had it all, but when you base your life on your beauty it's a sad trip, because, ultimately, we grow old. All of us. It is harder for such astonishing women. All the millions in the world cannot bring back youth and beauty.
That’s right but idk what else to base my life on, I don’t have hobbies and I’m mainly worried abt my looks everyday, and thinking abt how different I’ll get treated when I age scares me, anyone has some advice for me?
Beautiful Lady E. All the dr's and staff that worked on you should be in jail. Perhaps someone in there could give THEM the same procedure! Stay strong gorgeous Girl.
Linda is, in the purest sense of the definition, the epitome of fashion model. She is not niche to a certain look or style, and has always brought forth the character woman that designers and photographers envisioned. Her face has the most possibilities. She is to modeling, what Meryl Streep is to acting. The GOAT.
It's weird to me that she did a gimmicky procedure like that when she could have just gotten liposuction maybe with a facelift and likely not had an issue. These med spa level procedures are not worth it and come with a lot of risks.
My mom did coolsculpting and it worked marvelously for her. She’s a pear shaped with a belly and my god the treatment got her waist SNATCHED. The problem is if you have a tendency towards a certain shape you can’t fix that. She’s straight shaped and coolsculpting unfortunately exaggerated that.
@@AB-sm1qf Yep. That's what I was talking about earlier. Even if you fat and out of shape, you will always have a distinct body type. This lady from 90 day fiance got cool sculpting and she is a big girl but she was a pear shape who carried weight in her belly and lower region but had a curve to her waist naturally. So when she got it done it looked great I saw the commercials I think it was Rebecca. Cool sculpting is not straight or box bodies. Like a Kendall Jenner or a Gigi hadid should not do it they ever got fat cause the waist line and how the abdomen is structured won't allow it.
This is exactly what I thought too. Why not get liposuction and a facelift or buccal fat removal for all of that? She would have been okay after the pain period and after 1 year she would be okay. Liposuction has been around for decades and it's more grounded to do research on. She made the mistake of trusting a fad. I'll pray for her but I don't like the fact she picked a short cut and now it's a beware of cool campaign. Just use proper judgement and pick a better procedure. Cool sculpting shouldn't be her first option
Beauty fades we all age no matter how many procedures, how much skin creams, and makeup you use. It’s just something the body goes through some age well than others but we still age nonetheless. When you revolve your entire career and identity around the outer appearance you wind up with nothing to show for in the end except pictures and memories. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Had the opportunity to work with her back in 1997. I still have the photo of us together before I decided to give up modeling to go to college full time.
I am doing well, thank you for asking. I studied art, writing, music, and photography. I decided to go to college, and life happened. I started working while going to college, and before I knew it, I started dating, got married, and divorced. Now I am starting to find myself again. I have no regrets, and I’m finding peace and love. There were a few bumps on my journey, but I am enjoying this journey with meeting people and being around my wonderful family. I have conquered cervical cancer, endometriosis, tumors, and now trying to control my seizures. I help my cousin with her horses, and I live everyday like it’s my last day here on this beautiful planet we call Earth. God blessed me with so many wonderful memories and moments, with so many beautiful and wonderful people, I have met through my years, and been to some beautiful places. Linda is such a beautiful lady, she helped me conquer my fear of standing and walking in heels, and she taught me how to be comfortable and confident. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful day and enjoy your life on your journey.
What an amazing model. She presents as the essence of Sophia Loren, Raquel Welch, Liz Taylor, Ursula Andress, Marilyn Munroe, Audrey Hepburn …. VERSATILE at the highest level! Best model EVER! ❤
I have to say this but age gets us all. This is an.age thing. This models proceedire can not give her the young dewy looks she had. If she would only realize this then.she would be fine. I have seen photos of her and she is still beautiful. Aging is never pretty!
My heart breaks for her! She inspired me to become a photographer and she was one of the few models I invoked whenever I ended up in front of a lens. Looks are not everything, but when your career has made your body your identity, losing any ounce of that beauty (and the attention you become accustomed to) can be devastating. I shed a tear for her struggle. I truly love her complete body of work. I hope that the millions of people she inspired are worth something to her spirit. I still absolutely love her! ❤❤❤
" Looks aren't everything ' That's a nice platitude, unfortunately though in the world in which we live in Looks are everything and that's a cold hard fact ,as a society we are obsessed with retaining ours Looks, cosmetic surgeons are living the dream ,we filter our images and basically live hedonistic and materialistic lives, chasing youth ...
Really crazy how one if not the most famous super model ends up with a body disfigurement that only effects less than one percent . That’s just mind blowing to me
Being this beautiful, being famous and getting work for your outer appearance of course it can be difficult especially for celebrities to accept old age , if it can worry normal people like us to get older of course people like her are going to be scared
I’m the same age as Linda. I, too, chopped my hair. Whooo Lordy, it did not do me justice! She’s simply an iconic beauty, and I wanted to look like her.
Linda was so beautiful in her day. Youth, the bloom of youth, can't be restored once it is gone. This is a cautionary tale. If it were me, I'd return to the French Riviera and enjoy my life.
Elaine, Christy, Naomi, Cindy, Linda… I am so glad I grew up in the 80’s and these queens graced the covers. Milla was also starting at 13 I believe. I miss those days.
She is the unique standard who can only compete with herself. Time doesn't work for her. But who could honestly say that about themselves? Any drastic struggle will only result in a fake.
It breaks my heart to know that a procedure did this to her. I ALWAYS idolized her beauty. She is STILL beautiful but to hear her say that she’s gone in a sense, hurts my heart.
I always thought that Linda Evangelista is a stunning model. She looked good in clothes, jewelry, and her different hair colors. Her eyes are gorgeous. I had heard that she did that. She was devastated when it happened. She is still beautiful. Thank you for this video. Sending you Karine and everyone hear love, light and good deeds.
Very stunning woman! She has a Sophia Loren essence about her. Natural beauty. I'm so glad no one ever made her have cosmetic surgery for the tip of her nose, it made her unique! A true supermodel.
This poor woman. I had no idea. To lose her level of beauty and perfection in such a manner is horrific. I can truly see why she says she lost her identity. This cool sculpting stuff needs to be shut down even if this just happens (supposedly) to only 1% of patients. Results similar to hers need to be more well publicized. Something is fishy here. She should still pursue her lawsuit.
I'm part of her era and loved seeing her across those pages of highend magazines. You felt so in the know of fashion when you can mutter off names. Christy, Iman, Naomi, Linda, etc... When the "Freedom" video came out we all hollered...it's was the coolest thing ever! I pray all is well with her and she finds peace where she is now.
You did a great job telling this story. What strikes me is remembering how much care those of us from that age put into getting dressed for work! Started my first real full time job after college in 89. We left behind the 80’s, which was frumpy for work/crazy outside of work for such classic styles. Somewhere in this she is wearing a seafoam colored plush wool blazer monochromatic With rest of ensemble: just gorgeous. Crisp white shirts, fitted black skirts. Even our denim was high end. There are always weird trends in every era, but all the beautiful ones are shown here. Great memories ❤
I remember in the 90's seeing an ad that she was in, in a magazine, and it was her facing the camera head on, standing right next to a camel who was also facing the camera head on. They had the SAME NOSE! The exact same nose. It was such an interesting pairing as camels usually aren't equated w/beauty, but she was stunning and the ad (I don't remember who for) was a perfect example of photographic composition and fashion.

I bumped regulary into celebrity models thru the years sometimes you'll see them in restaurants or sometimes they were shooting pics right in the street they were all over the place those days but Linda beauty was breathtaking above all others.
She is so beautiful...she didn't need the original procedure. I understand her profession requires a specific body style, but we all age. NOBODY stays young forever. Embrace it ladies! We are going to need each others support when we are old, the sands start shifting and everything heads south. Thank you for bringing this to light for any ladies out there that believe they are not good enough. You are lovely. I just dipped into your channel. I wish you all the success you deserve and your brothers music is awesome! Stay well.... Sincerely, This 40-something white chick in Chicago...
I second that sentiment: mid-60’s woman. Strive for health first, it shows on all parts of your body! I was never classified beautiful so I never had unrealistic expectations but I emphasize with her situation that has made her feel dependent on looks alone. Aging isn’t for sissies.
She should’ve done something else that gave her purpose like some of the other aging models have done. Start a fashion line, fragrance line, furniture ( like Cindy Crawford), etc. I’m sure she’s a millionaire and didn’t need to continue modeling
She is so gorgeous, I miss seeing her, Im so sorry she had to go through that. I would love to know more of her tips she is an amazing talent. I wonder if red light therapy could help people or something like it.

True! Me too. They look alike.
She´s so similar to Mila when she´s with brown hair.
She looks like Sofia Loren as well.
She is 13 days older than me. We grew up together. And she was stunning. And still is. For all of us going through this aging process, she is still our muse. She has no idea how much we adore her, no matter what she looks like. Thank you for making this video. She's just spectacular.
She is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 💯❤️
there's probably some connection between women 'laying it on thick' with the compliments and someone like her feeling the need to get some procedure. We all are destined to fall apart. Some ppl age nicely while others fall apart into a raving lunatic. Not much she can do about it.
@Ronda Corle
Ronda, we adore you.
A star in the sky, praising another star, a rare commodity these days to find, with all due respect.
Ronda, since I 've been sharing a platonic love with someone, who used to style her with love and heartblood, I might have strong cultural ties with her and her magic cameleon-like aura.
Thanks a million for your lovely comment, take care,

really? did i ever meet you at DM?
Such a beautiful woman. She reminds me of Sophia Loren. I had no idea she had gone through all this, so sad.
Her identity and self worth was all tied to her physical beauty. Such a loss is like the death of her identity.
She could have aged gracefully. What a shame
I hope she has a re-birth of a deeper identity.
It’s a lesson to us all.
it’s sad such a beautiful woman got pressured by others to touch their face, she was so naturally beautiful. ty for this video karine ❤❤
Yeah she had a unique face rather than that plastic surgery face with the fillers...
No amount of pladtic surgery could produce such a face. She should have taken a deep breathe and reconsidered. Oh well, it's too late now.
It sucks sucks!

Linda was hands down 1 of the most beautiful models and will always be. She killed it with the red hair too.
Oh my gosh. Yes!!!! So so beautiful with that red hair♥️♥️
Such a beautiful face!
Do a breakdown on Gia the unprotected, underrated model of 70's and 80's
Gia ♡
She does have a video of Gia already if I'm not mistaken, if not of her, then for the movie of her life.
Great story I can relate to her story getting older in a job that you rely on your looks is such a challenge
Having to accept aging and gaining weight and knowing it won’t last forever but to have someone disfigure your body is even harder to overcome
I hear she is doing better still a legend in my eyes !
Her face is PERFECTION. I can stare at it for ever she's so beautiful.
She is pretty for sure but she has a very weird nose.
It was
I agree absolutely stunning
Really?
She has nothing to worry about. She will always be beautiful
Linda Evangelista is absolutely one of the most striking beauties we've known in this era.
None of us recognise ourselves anymore, but in her time, she was the ultimate ❤
Agree.. I personally bought Elle magazine just for her when I was a teenager 🥰
I LIVED THIS ERA ....AND SHE WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OF THEM ALL. YEPP.
The quote is actually “I don’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day”
Yes, the 'I don't wake up...' sounds macabre.
I would love to be beautiful but it comes with too much pressure. So I'm happy to just be me.
Linda is truly one of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. It is sad that she believes she died with the changing of her looks. I mean she is still mind boggling beautiful.
I’m a little fan girl rn. I love all of the 90s models ❤ Thank you Karine
Nothing beats realizing that you are beautiful and worthy regardless of how others see you. Nobody can give you that sort of validation.
In all 6 years of marriage she had no idea about her husband's "activities" ?? That's highly unlikely.
When I think of haute couture, I immediately think of Evangelista, always have. She is just so striking, so stunning. She actually reminds me of Sophia Loren with those exotic, dramatic, upturned almond eyes. Italian beauty.

Yes, her features remind me so much of Sophia Loren, also nose and lips
In past cultures age gained respect & the process of ageing was accepted as a natural progression of life. Society today is sad & sick!

She always reminded me of a young Sofia Loren
I've lost count as to how many surgeries and procedures that I've had due to medical issues. I'm with you... I would never have elective surgery.
She looks like Sofia Loren
I worked at a spa that did cool sculpting and the girl who trained me said she doesn't get that procedure anymore because she had bad results on her belly
Only the most beautiful can wear a pixie cut that well
What’s a pixie cut please
I am sorry for Linda. I remember her from the 90's and her famous or infamous quote about only getting out of bed for a bigger paycheck. I will probably not get any procedures like hers just because the risk does not seem worth it. A truly cautionary tale.
She had it all, but when you base your life on your beauty it's a sad trip, because, ultimately, we grow old. All of us. It is harder for such astonishing women. All the millions in the world cannot bring back youth and beauty.
So true!
Shows , beauty isnt just DNA and Genetic, how many models are using liposuction, plastic surgery and fillers.
People's body's physically change as they age , Linda did not need those cosmetic procedures .
From Australia
Linda is, in the purest sense of the definition, the epitome of fashion model. She is not niche to a certain look or style, and has always brought forth the character woman that designers and photographers envisioned. Her face has the most possibilities. She is to modeling, what Meryl Streep is to acting. The GOAT.
A train-ny.
Its true! She was such a chameleon, especially with her different wigs and hair styles. 😊
Never realized how much she favors Sophia Loren
I just love your videos about 90s models not everything was glamourous especially back then
Poor Linda. I feel so bad for her.
It's more common to have side effects of lipo.
How is it going? What do you study?
Why did you give it up?

Wow! She was beautiful! I used to see her on magazines when growing up. I didn't know that was her.
She has recently re-emerged. A few months ago she was on the cover of Vogue. And she is a face of a few brand campaigns
That’s heartbreaking she deserved to have her career

Does she look like Mila Jovovich or am I tripping?
I truly thought they were the same person
I always thought Milla Jovovich favored Linda Evangelista.
She is mix between Milla and Sophia loren
She is the unique standard who can only compete with herself. Time doesn't work for her. But who could honestly say that about themselves? Any drastic struggle will only result in a fake.
She was on the cover of British Vogue a month back :)
thats called ageing. young people think they always stay young, but body changes. As much as you eat junk food or have less movements.
She was definitely THE Model of the 90's. I wish her well.
It breaks my heart to know that a procedure did this to her. I ALWAYS idolized her beauty. She is STILL beautiful but to hear her say that she’s gone in a sense, hurts my heart.
Love how she’s handling everything. That’s a true icon! 💚✨
Every hair colorr works on her
I will always love her no matter what that face an list of other things aswell
I think a Vogue Magazine breakdown would be a good one 🤔
Somewhere in this she is wearing a seafoam colored plush wool blazer monochromatic
With rest of ensemble: just gorgeous. Crisp white shirts, fitted black skirts. Even our denim was high end. There are always weird trends in every era, but all the beautiful ones are shown here. Great memories ❤
The one thing that models don't seem to come to terms with is ageing & that their career will inevitably end
She's extraordinarily beautiful with such startlingly equisite features. A cut above most others in the business.

She is so beautiful...she didn't need the original procedure. I understand her profession requires a specific body style, but we all age.
