I know Glory doesn’t believe in superstitions, but it would be interesting to share if Glory’s parents have any superstitious beliefs that they follow or recall from their elders. Korean (and other East Asian) culture tends to be highly superstitious.
i got a couple, being korean myself. two of the mains ones i grew up with were, no whistling at night or snakes will show up. the other is, if you sleep with a fan on, you'll die. there are others like .. if you give shoes as a gift to a significant other, they'll run away 😅
No showers/baths and not using corded electrical items isn’t a superstition though. Scientists recommend you avoid it during a storm, water, cords, stoves, washer/dryer etc all conduct electricity
@@SARKAZYMYT so thats like saying everyone who posts superstition videos are saying every race doesnt do that with your logic…😑 they didnt say “only black people do these things” bffr
I literally died laughing at all these superstitions because my grandmother taught all of these to me. The one that she doesn’t play with the most is the splitting a pole and purses on the floor. Love y’all and the videos!!
That thunderstorm one hit home for real. Definitely had some dark nights during thunderstorms growing up. My mother always said "The Lord is doing His work."
Turning your TV off during the thunderstorm is a real one. My Aunt never believed it and would make fun of my uncle for believing in it, then her TV was struck by lightening and blew up. It gets annoying (esp when your show is on) but it has to go off.
At my grandmother’s when there was a storm everything had to be off and unplugged. We would have to sit quietly in a dark room until the storm was over. Grandmum said God was at work.
My Great Grandma would tell my mom and her siblings and cousins not to tell their dreams before breakfast or they would or wouldn't come true. I can't recall which I was.
My grumma used to makes us turn everything off for a storm bc the Lord is doing his work and we would sit in the house with nothing on till it was over and the door open so we could watch the Lord do his work lol
Oh yeah the fish dream they use to say if you catch the fish with your hands she pregnant but isn’t married, and if you catch the fish 🎣 on a line whoever is pregnant in the family🫃🏻 is married
Another one growing up: If someone walks over your legs when your sitting down (let's say on the floor), you won't grow tall. I use to make people re-walk over my legs to "cancel" it.
Y'all are hilarious. May God bless you abundantly!! Your boys are so adorable. ❤ I love that Y'all dont dilly dally with your vids. Straight to the topic! Can't believe this premium entertainment is free. Love you guys!
I’ve heard of all but the dream, the hat on the bed, haircut, and purse on the floor. I’ve heard a few differently tho… instead of ringing of the ears, it’s if your ears are burning and instead of catching a cold with wet hair, you catch your death. My palms itch a lot and I will say that about the money all the time, but I’m the myth buster on that! 😂
I grew up hearing almost every one of those 🤷🏻♀️🤣 I am not superstitious but I worked with a lady who was and freaked out about the umbrella inside and me walking under a ladder lol.
The step on a crack, the palm itching money is coming, and the wet hair outside gets you a cold ones are not black ones but just old sayings/superstitions in general.
If your ear is ringing is a good one lol they said it's the first person that comes to mind lol... There is also if your none dependent hand itch I getting money 😂 if your dependent hand itch u paying 😂
The lightning/phone one got me rolling because in high school, we watched this video about lightning and storms and such and there was a lady that got struck by lightning while showering because it struck her house, and then she said "the second time I was on the phone," and all the kids were SHOOK and one of the class clowns was all "The THIRD time I got struck by lightning" 😂😂😂 Oh man... It can happen apparently!
Everyone told my mom that my hair would fall out even though I was born with a head full of hair. 6 months later I had to get a haircut because my hair was so long and curly and my mom couldn't take care of it 😭
I’m not very superstitious and I didn’t grow up that way either, but it’s like the older I get, the less I can escape them now 😂😂 especially the itchy palm!!!
Born and raised in Hawaii... grew up with almost all of these superstitions, down to the specifics... right hand itches, left hand itches but it went a little further. Like you have to scratch it with the same hand, sounds weird yah? My mix is Japanese, Hawaiian, Chinese, Norwegian... We grew up with very similar superstitions... 😊
I find it so funny that even here in South Africa have the exact same superstitions🤣🤣🤣.. My grandfather would switch off the tv and have a candle on in the centre of the room (the thunder would cut the electricity) n we would all come n sit around it.. N we would be silent while he prays while the storm happens outside.. It was beautiful and very peaceful.. One of my favourite memories ❤️❤️ An umbrella in the house would get you a whooping😂🤞.. Bad luck.. But seeing a black cat would ruin your whole day 😬😬..
My husband told me about 5! Lol i had never heard it as a Caucasian. 😂😂😂😂 but i thought it was pretty cool actually, concept of “the calm in the storm”
I am from the Caribbean (but can't necessarily say it's a Caribbean thing) but re hand scratching, what I grew up with is the opposite...if your right hand is itching you, you're about to lose money and if it's your left hand, you are about to come into some money. I think the thought was you generally give with your right hand and receive with your left. I have also heard about the phone, especially and thunderstorms. I think there was some truth to that.
I would so love to perform some magic for Matt and glory in one of their videos just to catch their reactions and maybe even teach y’all a trick . I’m in MD so we should make this happen if y’all would be up for a new cool video idea
Here's one that you two will find, literally "spine-tingling"... If you feel a sudden chill, it means that someone just walked over your grave! 🪦🚶🥶 ... How's that for a superstition?! 😄
I've heard a lot of these growing up. I find people who actually believe in them interesting because it makes me wonder why, what's the reasoning behind it. I've gotten some fascinating answers lol I'm not superstitious at all 🙅🏾
The way you guys acted out these scenarios was freaking hilarious. It took your video to a whole other level. Lol @ young Matt stepping on a crack. 😂 Also, so apparently Gloria is dreaming that she is Samson?
I know Glory doesn’t believe in superstitions, but it would be interesting to share if Glory’s parents have any superstitious beliefs that they follow or recall from their elders. Korean (and other East Asian) culture tends to be highly superstitious.
This!!!
That would be good

They sure are
My grandma definitely was big on the no telephone, tv or bathtub one during a thunderstorm. “Turn off that tv! Sit still and let God do his work!” 😄
I was told to give the Lord respect
Def.. no showers or baths during a storm.
No showers/baths and not using corded electrical items isn’t a superstition though. Scientists recommend you avoid it during a storm, water, cords, stoves, washer/dryer etc all conduct electricity
The bathtub is me I can’t do it I seen an episode of myth busters and I was scarred
We had to be quiet as well until it was over
my family is also superstitious. It’s honestly crazy how Black people pass this down through generations their whole lives .😭😭 love you guys❤️🙌🏾
Lol 90% of these all my friends know and they’re All diff races
@@SARKAZYMYTdid they say other races didnt?
@@Koreanisamazing the fact the entire video is about the one race… I’d say yes
@@SARKAZYMYT so thats like saying everyone who posts superstition videos are saying every race doesnt do that with your logic…😑 they didnt say “only black people do these things” bffr

Facts!!!!!!
I literally died laughing at all these superstitions because my grandmother taught all of these to me. The one that she doesn’t play with the most is the splitting a pole and purses on the floor. Love y’all and the videos!!
lol!!!! Thank you!❤️
I mainly believe in some superstitions mostly because they sound like safety hazards, such as a broken mirror or walking under a ladder.
That thunderstorm one hit home for real. Definitely had some dark nights during thunderstorms growing up. My mother always said "The Lord is doing His work."
Y'all's voice message was so cute! I love you guys! Stay blessed
I’ve always been told not to take a bath or shower during a thunderstorm because the lighting can go through the pipes.
😱😱😱😱 now you got us scared lol!
Turning your TV off during the thunderstorm is a real one. My Aunt never believed it and would make fun of my uncle for believing in it, then her TV was struck by lightening and blew up. It gets annoying (esp when your show is on) but it has to go off.

I remember when I was younger that you had to put your hand in your pocket when it itches in order to get the money.
I’ve heard of all but the dream, the hat on the bed, haircut, and purse on the floor. I’ve heard a few differently tho… instead of ringing of the ears, it’s if your ears are burning and instead of catching a cold with wet hair, you catch your death. My cousin would say if I swept the floor and hit someone’s foot they would go to jail, so they had to spit on the brooms lol
The way he held her leg up when he wrapped around him😂❤
He’s used to it 😂😂😂
