I like combining the Ver ANIME figures with battle damaged model kits. Making dioramas has become so much more fun by combining them. I have 2 of these with an additional 2 model kits of the same F2 variant. They look so good together! The F2 is my favorite version of the Zaku II and it looks so good next to a Gouf Custom.
As a person that own RD Ver anime figures I can tell you they're absolutely amazing. Heavy, solid, excellent sculpt, durable as hell, wack posability and a crap ton of accessories. They're definitely worth it. Would highly recommend the kampher and both version's of the aerial. The standard aerial especially has a better sculpt overall compared to the model kit and comes with an amazing display set for the bits that can be mounted anywhere. Tho keep in mind the standard aerial has no shell units, you gotta get a separate, special pbandai of the standard aerial to get it which is some bs.
Thanks for this review, those poses at the end looked great and really demonstrated the nice mobility of the upper torso/waist area on this figure! That "backpack separation" gimmick + the rubbery hoses really set it apart from the HGUC in terms of poseability, it seems. I've been wanting to get some Robot Spirits Zakus and the F2 is definitely on my hit list now! I have the Zaku Cannon and GM Cannon (African Campaign Type) Ver. A.N.I.M.E. figures and they are definitely similar in terms of articulation (no separation gimmicks though), but the satin finish of this F2 looks nicer than the more glossy plasticky look of my Zaku Cannon, haha
Robot spirits are able to pull off some great poses that can be harder for older kits., I've been collecting them for a while and I'm a big fan of the hygogg robot spirits
Loved that kit when it 1st came out but only grabbed one, has been a donor for many scratch/kit bash builds & his head is in the collection of my cyborg/human mech hunter trophies.
looks like you dropped the spare commander antenna right out of the box. I have this figure, and quite frankly it gets high marks from me just for being able to pull off a kneeling pose, where no amount of fiddling with the HGUC Zaku F2 model will ever come close.
Robot Spirits are a nice break from kit building when you just want to pose a really sick Gundam in your display. Articulation on Damashii's are amazing too. These are essentially really well made 1/144th scales that won't fall apart on you if you want to create some sick dynamic poses. 😅 These are also top tier for toy photography and even better if you want to slap some water slides on them. Awesome review brother ✊🏼
Hi Zak, have you ever tried detailing or painting Robot Damashii before? Any videos? I tried searching youtube but it seems no one has ever posted it before.
Not into Gundam figures either but I will be getting the GM Ground Type just because I can't stop myself customising the HG and MG's and I want at least one anime accurate version.
So I have a similar mindset where I prefer models because I like knowing that I did the best I can to make it nice. But I love the Dom Tropen and couldn’t get the HG so I bought the figure and it’s awesome! For me the Dom Tropen from Unicorn is how I feel compared to the F2 it’s wonderful and fits perfect in my collection! I even touched it up a little bit paint wise and it’s awesome!
The line is very nice if you want a more anime accurate representation of the mobile suit. But their price definitely make me pick and choose depending if the mobile suit have a good HG or not.
I have the Kampfer and Gerbera Tetra from this ver. ANIME series. Soild, great quality. Instant Gunpla. I say why not have a couple of figures in a well rounded Gunpla collection?
I can buy 3 or 4 HGs for the price of one of these in Canada. Not really that interested partly because of that and mostly because I like building kits more than even displaying them after.
are these more high grade sizes ? i been tempting too buy this ? or this line some of the model kits dont even exist anymore or hard too get i might get these figures
Hello, I really like your vids Zack. I've never been into Gundam before but I'm starting to get into it and I"ve looked at the Gunplas.. I don't know what I'm going to do, I don't do stuff like this, don't collect any figures from other things I like.. I love the way you build the kits, the detail and all that stuff but I feel like its alot of work and time invested that I just don't really have. its unfortunate really. I might try but you have to be informed before you jump in. The figures look really cool too so that's nice if I don't do the Gunpla.. for the prices they are going for, need to be good. Anyway, I'll keep watching your gunpla vids. I find them really fascinating if nothing else.
@@ZakuAurelius Like I said, I'm not sure what I will decide.. Going to watch the tv shows and see if I even want to go down this route.. I have a bit of a disability with my hand/eye coordination so handling small parts and moreso painting would be a big thing.. Wouldn't want to screw something up. I think just building the kit would be less stressful but who knows..
Imagine selling an $70 figure with stress marks on the weapons 🙄 I was looking at preordering the Robot Spirits Calibarn but after seeing this video, I’m definitely gonna pass

Real bruh F2 and Gouf Custom superiority
Oh no Zack. This can go down a deep dark hole of reviews if you stay interested in the line lol
Robot Damashii also released just the effect parts and weapons sold as a separate set without the figures.
UR DOING ROBOT DAMASHI NOW?? LES GO
The Robot Damashii figures are awesome! love your reviews keep'em coming!

My favorite zaku design :D

I was wondering if the leg missiles from the model kit fit properly on the Figure version? have a nice day
That sideways elbow joint is really neat, I wish the model kits had something similar!

I think it worth the price. Especially, how much time and money to pay for thr paint and time.

These figures are really nice. I usually wait until I can find a deal or a sale though, they are pricey, especially outside of Japan/USA.

Very Nice action figure of the coolest Zaku variant. 👍
This line is outstanding crazy expensive. But for one to get, you chose well Padawan 😛 especially when this has the all good abb crunch.

Yep, basically HG size.
Hey if you like to build them yourself that is you man i like the figs

Very nice, but I agree, I rather build them. It did take away the building part and you can jump to painting

Ngl.. if u get interested in this ur gonna loose alot money
