Hey everyone, Jake here. Looks like the video glitched for about 10 seconds around the 4 minute mark. If you still see it, feel free to fast forward. If it’s gone, we used RUclips’s back end editor to trim it out of the video. I promise you didn’t miss anything! Keep em straight! -Jake
Fave college team? Huskies 😏 I also really like the voice over of time lapse stuff! Favorite is the live footage but if there’s a time lapse, voice over is the way to go!!
Hi , great video. My planned sim space is in the back bay in my garage. When assembling the enclosure I will have only have a 3" gap from each side frame to each side wall. I have no extra space to get past the side walls and get behind the screen , so all assembly will need to be done without the ability to get behind the screen. Looks like you did a great job of only using your hands and arms to attach the bungees and zip cords on the top and sides without standing behind the screen. Was that difficult to do and any recommendations about my situation from an ease of assembly perspective. Much appreciate any feedback and keep up the great work.
It sounds like it's going to be difficult but not impossible. You'll probably need an extra person to push it back evenly without hitting the wall. I would build the screen and enclosure in the center of the room so I had access to both sides (Assuming you have a door on either side) and use the door to walk around it. DM me on IG @jakesgotkeys and we can chat, sometimes it is easier if I can see your space and make recommendations that way
@@WeShouldBeGolfing Hi Jake - I agree and will build the enclosure/screen in a different part of the garage where I have more space and walk it in to the final location when done. I have a crossbeam that complicated the design but found a way around it. Cheers for the advice.
@@JamesMcCusker-f7h That is part of the fun of the build, getting creative and working around the space and its challenges. Send pics when you get it all wrapped up! Keep em straight!
Pipes for our build were closer to $700 from Carl’s, we spent a little under $200 off the top of my head. It was easy enough to do it at home and worth the savings, although if you want to save about an hour and have the extra $500- Carls’ pipe kit would be a great option. I think the pipe cost from Carl’s varies based on the size of your enclosure. Thanks for watching!
The EMT was very cheap from Home Depot- roughly $7-10 per stick. We found the savings to be substantial enough and the cutting process to be easy enough that saving the money was worth it
We went 14~ wide, 9 high & 3 deep! With the screen being so wide, we didn’t feel the need to go 5 deep and we are glad we did so. Even the most shanked shots don’t hit the sides from where we stand, they still hit screen
@@WeShouldBeGolfing that’s awesome. Another question, if I just want to use GSpro with the Bushnell Launch Pro, do I still need to pay for the Bushnell subscription?
Yes, you have to have a subscription for the BLP to work with GSPRO unless you bought an unlocked version off the secondary market, which is harder to do.
44.5 inches (This is to account for the carls place frame, which has space between the back of the screen and back of the enclosure) If you aren't going with a Carl's kit, your measurements may be different. Thanks for watching!
@@WeShouldBeGolfing so 44.5 inches is the depth of the entire enclosure? What did the EMT piping need to be cut at? I’ve actually been building my whole set up exactly like yours. I ordered a EZ Tee hybrid mat 2x4 literally building your exact enclosure from your videos, which have been very helpful. The one thing I did not count for was the depth. I have already ordered my enclosure, but I need to modify it to 3 foot deep. So just imagine your exact same set up except 5 foot deep instead of 3. Thats where I’m at
It’s actually really scary hitting in a simulator!! I have real trouble with it!! My mind just can’t seem to get it right, I went for a driver fitting a month or so ago and could just not get it together my mind was in a full freeze!
It’s taken me (Jake) a bunch of swings to finally feel comfortable with the driver in the sim. Just gotta press through and now I’m comfortable. I feel your pain tho!!!
How far is the ball from the screen. I’m having insane amount of bounce back and also cant get the bottom of screen to be flush to the ground while keeping screen flat. Its either one or the other lol same set up here
We tightened our screen a bit tight in the beginning of its life to remove wrinkles that came from the shipping process, but have since loosened it to reduce bounce back. I would check your zip ties (especially along the top in regards to the issue you mentioned about it sitting flush) to make sure they are even. I would also check that the tension cord at the bottom of the screen (only way I can think to say it, hopefully you know what I’m talking about) isn’t over tightened causing the frame to bend.
They did after we tightened the screen up in about a week. Carl's has instructions on their website for what to do if they don't, but in our case they did!

How much did you spend on the EMT pipes and cutter? I thought the pipes from Carl's were like $399 or something...but you said you saved $500?

We love our enclosure! ❤🔥
@@WeShouldBeGolfing That's what we like to hear!
Could u share your screen dimension (not the enclosure dimension) and how far back is the tee from the screen? Thanks!!
We are 8-10 feet from the screen as we use it now and the screen size off the top of my head is roughly 93X150!
What is the distance from your tee to the screen? 😊
Roughly 8-10 feet depending on where we are standing
What screen size did you get and what’s the depth of the enclosure? I’m looking at 9x12x5 ft for my garage

dies the wrinkles? creases go away on their own?
