Sorry i missed the LS Austin was at work but watching the game. This game had me at the edge of my seat. Im glad the boys didnt give up on the play. Well deserved W!
Awesome video, yet again, Austin! Regarding that second goal against the Oilers: it should never have hit the net/post if any Oiler was able to block the shot. You got one forward posting up closer to the goal line for a possible easy back door play. That prevented Pickard from coming out to cut the angle down more. The Oilers wingers should have either gapped up/blocked the shot attempt which came from the high slot uncontested from a trailing shooter. To top it all off, it was a a chaotic 5 on 6 situation where the Oilers hybrid defense system sort of broke down because it became 5v6 play on the fly. Just some good execution from a possible set play. Yes Pickard could be quicker on that shot, but it was kind of a sneaky off rhythm shot. Plus, I think the defensive zone coverage needed to be a tiny bit sharper.
I was during the whole game waiting to eventually tie the game, but in the end the frustration was huge. It seemed like a curse, the puck did not want to go into the net in any possible way. Thankfully, in the end the Oilers had their happy end. Regarding the Sharks, I liked some Celebrini's good sparks, and of course their goaltender, who had anbunbelievable performance. My best wishes to this young team!

Surgery still postponed so here are some stats. Again, I can't watch the games. What follows is my opinion. Oilers start out slow AGAIN. This time it's pitiful really. SJ scores, little less than 4 minutes later Hyman ties it up then a little over a minute later a stinker gets in and it's 2-1 SJ until LATE, LATE in the 3rd (18 seconds left) when Ekholm ties it up to send us to OT. Leon missed multiple shots or banged them off of posts including one empty netter he just couldn't hit. Time for target practice after practice boys (ALL OF YOU). Leon just 18 seconds into OT partially redeems himself by getting the game winner and the W for the Oilers. We made up a little ground on LA who lost in OT tonight but Vegas punted the Kraken 6 to 2 so no ground made up on them. Another game where they guys proved they don't hit almost at all, won't block a shot most of the time and don't seem to care until it's almost too late then they pull a hail Mary from God Knows Where to find a Win. The second goal by SJ I know Pickard wants back but he's stuck with it and so were we. Askarov was incredible in net for SJ and he will be a problem in the future. Thanks for your stream Austin. Well done. Take care all.
The big boys have done it again! McDi (+3), Hyman - goal, Ekki - goal, Dri - goal)) Oilers face adversity, but beat last team in NHL😜 The injured Hyman, wearing a mask (+2), played 23 minutes and scored. 😇Jeff Skinner played less than 8 minutes and already has (-10)! They hired him to be in the top 6? Really ?🤑The Oilers offense only has four top players instead of 6. Defense and goalkeeping is always a problem.
Sharks have an amazing young goal tender.
That being said.. heist of the season..
Nice call on Bouchard. I was yelling at him through the TV today during the game for some non-sensical plays. Glad you pointed out the positives.
What a great 17 final seconds and OT~ On to Ottawa!

Austin, you missed a perfect opportunity to put no way jose in the thumbnail
Lol
Replacing the thumbnail right now
Missed the first two periods and all I can say is HIT THE DAMN NET !!!
Merry Christmas chair! You too Austin ❤
Leon on pace for 60 goals atm...
That second save against Celebrini was a classic
Almost got goalied
10:05 It turns out that I'm an ignorant moron and I don't know who "Ben" is. In completely irrelevant news, let's go Oilers!!
McDavid played like McDavid!

Sharks goalie playing like prime mike smith, but won’t be shaking buns this saturday 🧡💙
Prime mike smith? Try Brodeur.
@@racasm it’s a joke, hockey fans so stalee
Mike smith the goat!
Funny thing with McDavid, he had 10 points in his first 11 games, and has 38 points in his last 19 games, ridiculous.
Unbelievable how many chances the oilers got and were denied..

The Oilers seem to have such slow starts against bottom teams..

That was way too close of a game! I was expecting a much better lead against sharks!
i would trade one of our goalies for that sharks goalie
I’m back on this acount
On that first goal. If bouch just takes the body. That play doesn’t happen. Stick position this n that. No just hit. Then u aren’t guessing wrong.
Draisaitl was doggin in on San Jose's first goal. Love him, but sometimes he's a defensive liability.
He's one of, if not the best defensive forward in the NHL this season. One bad shift won't take that away for me!
Sometimes EVERYONE in the league can be a liability
