@ItGetsReelFishing been a slow year for me up until the last week then the bite turned up. Good luck out there hope you get that first one crossed off the list!
I hardly ever get a catch anything at Marina let alone Stripers. Soft or hard shells or does it matter? What might I be doing wrong? Marina is a nice, low-key place to fish; that's why I go there LONG Drive from upper SF Bay.
Good job bro. I have better success when I have a longer leader line. 4 to 6 foot. And I understand you can cast a lot further with a shorter leader line but perch usually ain't out that far anyway. The bait seems to flow more natural the longer the leader line.
@@ItGetsReelFishing oh okay I got you bro. Crazy how we derline can make a difference depending on what region you're from. I'm only fishing California Half Moon Bay surf perch.
Big ass perch! Good eatin too! Try using an oversized Kastmaster for Stripers on the surf. You can add a buck tail to them as well. They cast really well too because of the weight. Always like your videos bro. I think it’s time for you to do a survival catch and cook in the cuts somewhere!
Those were some nice catches! Yeah it's been slightly discouraging that sand fleas haven't been working for me at all. But this makes me want to give it another good try. There's lots of softshell right now👍
B Floss, Some nice slabs!! And bites on different baits. You're at your long walk beach where you turned right instead of going straight!!! In your knot, if you fed the line back through the other big loop you have a totally secure draw knot. Where's the stripers? I'm still looking for ONE of them (on shore) too!!
Awesome video Brutha. Nice catches with the barred surf perch 🎣🎣🎣🎣. I just landed my 1st surf striper 23 and a half at Poplar Beach, Half Moon Bay 06/17/2023 on the Battlestar Glow white sardine. Also caught 5 barred perch. What Beach were you on when making this video? Im gonna try Pomponio Beach this coming weekend. Thanks for sharing your experience and video with (us) the fishing community. Fish-On & Tight Lines. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
I hear those battlestar lures are the way to go. Gotta get me some. I am not sure of the name of the beach My buddy took me there and we did not park in a parking lot we walked a good ways to get there.
Being that sandworms are a part of surfperch and striper diet and look really different from nightcrawlers they probably wouldn't work but might be worth a try.
Do you ever have any luck catching halibut out there? I’m still working on it man I still not. I have no idea what I’m doing in a boat. I have no problem. Fishfinders has fish their crap you’re laying down with cut, but you kind of fish pull it up there you go shore fishing God it’s taking me a while to figure out what the fuck I’m doing.
No it is still a goal for myself. I had one hooked up b4 but he shook the hook. Fighting fish in the surf can be tough fighting against the tide and the current.
Great surf fishing video. Learned a few little things from it :)
Thank you I am glad I could help
Perfect way to end on top 👍🏽 very cool bro 😎 🎣
Thanks brotha
Another great vid…. My wife loves the sound of the ocean
There is nothing quite like it.
Doing what you love, don't get no better than that!!! Thanks for the ride!! Peace ✌ out, my friend!!
I appreciate you!! Thanks for your support!!
Lets get it! Yee 🦈
Love striper dance brother B. 😂
Brother Thuy we need to fish again soon.
@@ItGetsReelFishing I will let you know soon brother. Will try to get you to the ocean for mackerels and RF
@@Fishing247 right on bro I have yet to catch mackerel so I am game.
I been crushing big stripers in Marina with bucktails and sand crabs when i get tired of casting for the last week
Right on man I am going to head a lil further south and see if I hook up...

@@user-kz9yq6ci6u thanks man I am going to give it a shot.

From my experience softshell is the way to go. I have never caught anything on hardshell.

Yeah I usually go longer myself but this was a pre rig set up from pitbull tackle

There are tons of soft shells out now. I am not having any trouble finding them now just the striper lol.

Thanks Ron... I have been trying to get on them. I guess I am not going south enough but I will get em.

I wonder if nightcrawlers would work 🤔

Stripers are smacking around pacifica.
I have seen. I might give it a shot.
What city are you fishing in? What beach are fishnet? Just curious cause I’m not having no luck over here. In a Monterey.
Manresa
